ActRaiser (SNES): Who's your Daddy?

Welp... all three lives down the drain, which means it's Game Over; do not pass Go, do not go to Jail, just sit in Free Parking the rest of your life. This sends us back too the Sky Palace (I think I called it the Sky Fortress earlier, which was wrong), and you'll have to redo the ACT you were just in.

I missed this spot earlier; there's an opening along the upper route beside the spiky water at the top of the screencap that leads to this Angel Statue that'll refill your health.

Of course, it doesn't help when the game decides to be funny and reduce my health so that I'm doing the first half of the stage with only 1 health left right after I pick it up. Thanks. Thanks a bunch, game. <_<



On the plus side, Magical Fire. :D



This Minotaur can be defeated in two ways; you can either do what I'm doing here and jump over the axe projectile he shoots out, and then getting in two to three hits in on him, or if you got here with nearly full health, you can just stand in front of him and whack him until he dies.

Look at that giant purple community home! It's the best house in the game, and gives the most population; if you're going to get the max level, you'll need to get these, and the other level three house, which you can see right beside it.

Our Temple's been jazzed up as well!



There's a small forest opening immediately to the right of the Temple where you can find this.

Not only did I miss the full-heal Apple next too the 1-Up, I failed to screencap the boss entering for the first time.

... Way to go, Mii.

Am I the only one who's bothered by the fact that the water is clearly purple, yet on the Overworld map... it's red? I mean, how did it change color like that? It's like Bloodpool knew I was coming or something....

What was I talking about again?



Oh, right; this Manticore.



All this boss does is jump up and shoot fireballs until he reaches the top and switches sides to repeat the process going back down.

Do note that the boss will NOT stand on the same side that you're on; if you are on the left side, and the Manticore jumps over too the left side, it'll simply jump back to the right.



The safest way to win is too simply wait for him to come to you, and whack him once or twice before he retreats to the other side. Takes a little bit of time to win, but you're guaranteed the victory by doing so.



If you've got balls of steel, and some proper timing, you can get in the boss' face without getting shoved down into that space in the middle, which will cause you to instantly die. This'll let you get in several more hits than being conservative.

I didn't have to use the magic here; I just wanted to show that you're invincible while using it. :D

If you die in a level, your magic does NOT come back, so do be careful about when you use it.

Now, you may not have noticed, but we're going inside a castle for reasons we don't know. This is because the last lair I sealed triggered two events at the same time; one explaining how a monster appeared in the castle and demanded a sacrifice (which, conveniently, happens to be Teddy), and another awarding me a Bomb. We all know which one the game gave me.



I know you're a bouncer and all that, but I swear I was personally invited too this party.

Sadly, there's nothing we can do about this right now; even worse is that, while Bloopool can still grow, it won't so long as this family feud is going on.



I'll just hide in Fillmore for the time being; since the road there has been completed and thus can have some of the wheat that Bloodpool magically shared with them.

Also, here are the other areas in the game. Not like it's a spoiler, since you could've just found them when you first started the game, or came into this screen for the first time.

Now, Fillmore can still grow (designated by the 'slow' status), but because all of the available land has been used up, it can't become any bigger. We can fix that, but not right now.

Well, maybe not, but it's definitely the Act 1 Boss; which is... an Antlion, I think?

Relatively easy boss fight here; let the sand current take you to him when he pops out and whack him a few times. Don't worry about taking damage; you'll damage it more than it damages you. A well-timed spell will do wonders here as well.

Unfortunately, like the previous post suggested, I died horribly!



Which led me to finding something I did not know about before; there's a 1-Up down here below the house... tower... thing where you pick up the Magic Scroll.

Unfortunately, like the previous post didn't suggest, I game over'd!



Which reminded me that I should probably show off the fact that these guys will shoot projectiles at you if you wait for them do so.

Damn Nature; you scary!

Glad you like it. I had something else in mind (that I've long since forgotten), but I came across THAT be complete accident and I laughed, knowing I had to use Bruce instead.

I think Magical Stardust is the best spell in the game.

As I'm sure you noticed, Kasandora is a desert town. This means there's a lot of sand everywhere.



It also means I can't see where the enemies are spawning from!

... Unless you're paying attention, that is.



To remedy this problem, I've decided to pour a never-ending supply of Mountain Dew all over the place until it works.



See? They like this plan! You like it too!



... Or somebody forgot to leave bread crumbs so they could find their way back. That works too.



... I think someone forgot to tell him he needs to roll over to get a proper tan.

I'm still carrying around some wheat from Bloodpool; I'll give it to these guys so they can gro/
