Advent Calendar: Let's Play 24 games!

Right what it says!
... They'll probably all be dating games because those are easy to screencap and um. Yep. Will play some non-dating games if I find any that are fitting and short enough.

Either way I'll do one route from a game every day! If you want to see the rest of the routes, well, I'll have a download link handy and that'll be your christmas present!

... I'll start the first LP a bit later, though, I have errands and the only reason I'm not out doing them is because I need to thaw out my bike's lock first. Geh.

By the way, I know most of you use imgur, but I planned to use imageshack since that's what I'm used to. Hopefully this won't cause any problems!

And nah, I use imgur because it's convenient and I won't need an account for uploading. I used imageshack for one update once because imgur was being bitchy and I MUST UPDATE DAILY OR THE SKY FALLS and the images show, fine as the others in the LP.

Alright, let's start this off! The first game is "Nemesis of the Hopeless Romantic"!
Andrew is just your typical high school student. Sitting in class with nothing to do, he decides that he needs a girlfriend and sets out to claim one for himself. Of course, with nothing but his love of love, turmoil quickly shows as he realizes love is not loving. Can Andrew surpass the obstacles that are put in his way and finally find true love?
Sounds like the perfect (if generic) game to start off with! Let's start!

... Well, no surprise there!


Andrew laments about how pointless school is and how if he was in a visual novel, he'd have a cute girlfriend and stuff. Evidently he has no friends.


Besides, y'know, fighting against the concept of education is probably not going to work even for an adult. Andrew then realizes that he has the perfect solution to all his problems! What is it? Skipping school?


... Force himself into the role of a visual novel protagonist, apparently.
Andrew decides that the next girl he sees will become his girlfriend, and starts to daydream about their date on the rooftop where she feeds him and such. Though... his pick-up lines are...


... Kind of lacking.

He keeps daydreaming for a bit until the teacher speaks up. They have an announcement! What is it?


Yessss! Andrew is gleeful and expectant about this, seeing it as his chance.


He's also a bit delusional, but hey! It's a dating game! Maybe he's right!

Is this...our love interest? I mean it... might be female?

Given prefrences of Andew best choice is the gym. Any of the four three choices might have cute girls though.

It took a tentacle to the chest and at least two missiles to take Andrew out. That's pretty good for a supposedly average high school student!

Well it came from the side, so hopping to left or right will probably get me killed a fourth time. Let's try ducking!

We're given another choice to either run home or "finish him off", but given our current track record I doubt the second will kill anyone except Andrew so...

Surprisingly, though, he's learned to be more cautious and is keeping an eye out for Nemesis everywhere. At least he's not completely braindead, just mostly!



Paranoia~ As it turns out though, Nemesis doesn't appear at all on the way home, not even when Andrew stands on the front porch. He's feeling a bit disappointed, even -- most likely because Nemesis is the first person to pay him any attention.


On one hand, Nemesis will probably get us killed. On the other, Nemesis is the only one to show us affection (even if he does it with rockets and tentacles), and Andrew's such an idiot that nobody else would ever give him a chance. This thing might be our only chance at love!

Go home, Andrew. Go home and try to find a brain.

And then we went home. Andrew played Marvel all night again.


Looks like Andrew's not the only one who's afraid of Nemesis anymore... The teacher, students, everyone's terrified and on edge, just waiting for him to appear. Andrew starts to ponder about the thing.


... Nemesis appeared in Marvel? I actually didn't know that.
He wonders to himself if this was God's punishment for playing too much Marvel, but decides that's ridiculous. Then he decides to shock me and everyone else by suddenly shouting.


Andrew, are... Are you trying to actually HELP? Are you the same person who can't even begin to fathom how females work?



Andrew's actually taking a leadership role! I'm shocked and proud all at once! The other students just stare at him before starting to agree, one by one.

Nemesis was late to class today it seems. Andrew looks to the teacher, but apparently she's teleported away (likely through the window) while his back was turned.


I wonder how long we can keep running from him...
