Oh well, I'll put this game in my list of "VNs I'm gonna play" and then I find out.

I don't think we could have steered into the good ending. I just played the thing, and you kinda, sorta, not exactly have to play it twice to get the good ending.

True enough, like many VNs with multiple endings some are only attainable upon subsequent playthroughs. The 'true ending' in this one requires at least 2 route choices.

Long story short it's now 5:22 AM and I haven't even found a game to play yet, I'm nowhere near finishing the promised VN, and it's too late to stream anything or else I'd stream drawing or something.

Also, a game (or demo) I planned to play was My Little Investigations but it didn't work out too well so, there's your recommendation. It's pretty much a Phoenix Wright game except with ponies.

And don't worry -- this thread is actually my first LP. I've done streams before but text LPs are way different, so it was all new to me!

And I think you did very well. Updating daily is hellishly demanding, and you had the added challenge of making up over 20 different games to play.

I'm not sure one can 'master' the LP and if one can, I certainly haven't. I think the best you can hope for it finding a style that is yours and proceed listening to the readers' concerns, like how giant images in a thread of mine made their browsers die on them and such.

I could play a game today, IF I hadn't a lot of family stuff to do myself D=

Well, I think I'm willing to do the thing right now. Guess I gotta see if it'll download right, cause this file is a lot bigger than some of the other games! No promises.

Downloaded the thing. Really big file. Kinda wished we I was doing one of those RenPy games, haha. Using Capturino by recommendation of Jacquelle.

Fair Warning: This is a blind LP and I have no idea what I'm doing. This is my first time doing anything of this sort so please be gentle and please don't kill me if I mess something up horribly D:

Don't worry. I think the biggest problem with large images is if there's 100+ per page. You'll do fine.

This seems as good a time as any to mention I've never watched the show so I have no idea if this place is important.



This game is fully voiced, it's pretty neat.
Anyway, in the darkness, there seems to be three (I assume there are three) guys looking for something. They stumble a bit until...

But suddenly there's a loud sound!



Ha, there is three of them. Anyway, the three decide to get the heck out of there as quickly as possible and make for the hiiiiills! (No really, one of them says that) All that's left is...


This little guy! Wonder what his story is.

The screen fades to black and we cut to a greenish place in daylight and I miss a screenshot of Twillight Sparkle running up to Rarity. I'm already messing up...


The portraits are animated to match the dialogue too. Really neat.



Twillight: "Uh huh, and that would be?"



I hope you didn't call because you broke a nail. Wait, ponies don't have nails...
Rarity: "Woe is me! I shall never recover from this injury that has been wrought upon me!"

Twillight: "English, Rarity"

Hehe, Zone. Twilight. Wait, stolen from? You mean you were stolen? That sounds weird grammar-wise.

Twilight: "Stolen from? What was stolen?"
Rarity: "THEY were stolen, Twilight. Both of them!"

Rarity: "How could they? How COULD they!? Oh, my poor, poor, darling, all alone out there with those... those RUFFIANS!"


My thoughts exactly. I haven't hit the image limit yet but I want to post now to make sure I didn't mess and won't mess anything up!

I think there's a problem with the first few images, but this looks pretty interesting so far!

Rarity says (with a rather cute accent, I might add) that they haven't the slightest idea who stole her precious jewel... and cat.

How do you guys not have a crime-rate rivaling that of Gotham City?



DAYS?! The thieves would be long gone! Twilight agrees and then asks if it's the same investigator from last time.
Wait. Last time? What happened last time?


Oh I see. But the Mayor doesn't see what Twilight's point is-


.... That sounds like a much interesting plot than whatever we're about to get into.
The Mayor says that we should be thinking positive and that they might do better this time! Of course Twilight just responds with cold stares.

Mayor: "Well, there's not much for it either way, Twilight. After all, nopony in our town has any experience with this sort of thing. We'll just have to wait it out."

The mayor also claims he (she? I don't know) is far too busy to stick around and runs off.
You're not earning yourself any points Mayor. I might not decide to do you route!
.... Wait, that's not what we're playing? Alright.

Rarity: "I'm afraid she's right. We'll just have to wait it out"

Man, you must not hold your 'precious' jewels in all that high regard. Twilight is not willing to let that lousy investigative team get their hooves on this case. After all, what will that leave us to do? I mean, romance is unfortunately not an option here.

Twilight explains that somepony needs to get to the bottom of this and apparently she's had experience with this kinda thing! Wonder if that's a reference to an episode or something. Rarity is skeptical of our investigative skills. Pshhaw! How dare you! I bet Twilight has the insight of Batman!

Imgur's been fickle as a pickle this past week. I'm not seeing half the images, either.

Imgur's been a goit since last night, as I STILL cannot upload anything for my Civ 1 LP right now. And I hate to make it worse, but I can't even see the first half of either post. :(

I've always wondered why Pinkie is sometimes paired with Deadpool in fanart. Now I know. At the same time, Twilight wonders why Pinkie is talking to bushes.

Am I the only one who uses Photobucket for my LP?

I prefer imgur because I didn't need to make an account there, though all the BS I went through trying to get it working for DA2 was seriously off-putting.

Maybe I should switch...

Photobucket's never given me a problem, though the new beta version is a little iffy. Fortunately, you can switch back to the old version of Photobucket. :D Also, the account is free and I've never gotten any spam from them or anything, so signing up for an account wasn't that big a deal.

I use Imageshack, myself. I found a way to cheat the upload limit. Way less fickle than imgur.

Guess what will be in the full game?
