I will be very upset with anyone who gets this thread locked. It is one of my favorite threads on The Citadel.
Mad the things people are offended by. Personally, if any gif on that page had crossed a line, I would have expected it to be the reporter being sexually harassed.
I gave up trying to predict what people will and won't like when it comes to animated gifs (I just try to avoid sexy/violent stuff at all costs). I always think the ones I post are fine, but it isn't until I get warnings/banned that I start to wonder why I'm incapable of processing and reacting to this stuff like normal people.
I didn't see anything particularly wrong with that. Girl sticks finger in nose...my 3 year old does that every friggin' day.
Well, I'm not going to defend it. If it's not work safe it's not work safe. The only malicious intent I had in reversing and reposting it was just to poke at Creole Ned.
To me they didn't seem more NSFW than any other random gif (I don't think my boss would care if I'm looking at cats as opposed to girls putting fingers in their nose, when I'm supposed to be working), or even that gross (if you have been on the internet for more than 5 minutes, chances are you have seen worse). Then again, if Lum doesn't want them on the forum it's not a big loss - or a loss at all. Let's bounce back to wholesome gifs
It was reported almost immediately by several people. Guess what happens when it's reported - it shows up in a big "LOOK AT ME NOW" in my interface so I deal with it quickly. So guess what I get to look at, whether I wanted to or not. Sorry if I am interfering with YOUR FREEDOMS to post huge animations of people doing things. And fwiw I did give a warning and deleted the content, I was just pissed I had to do it. I've had that problem with this thread multiple times.
The solution is to disable images from your work machine. How the hell am I supposed to know your work office's culture?

Yeah, I saw that and didn't think much of it. I knew a guy in high school who could do it, he had broken his nose when he was younger and gained a mild gross out power. Meh. I could understand how people might not want to see that but really it's not all that offensive.
No, but I do think the line's a bit fuzzy on stuff like this and the rather extreme responses seem pretty damn weird to me. The images are gone but man there are lots of capital letters in this thread.
Saw this on an IGN article this morning. Could be old as the hills for all I know, but it was new to me and caught me totally off-guard.
I don't know why people have to crap up this most excellent kitty thread with mean, nasty, ugly dogs.
I expect the right picture for hot chocolates, because I make them so what else would I expect. Also I suck at wrapping but even I can do better than the reality picture. While that gif does make some valid points it lets itself down in its particulars. I rate it a 6/10, not quite enough to earn a Like. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday season.
