The first episode of the Part 2 anime aired today.




It was perfect.

I'm in Part 3 finally (Yellow Temperance).

That part when they were fighting a stand user that was not human was definitely one of the most WTF moments so far.

The "I'LL BITE YOUR DICK OFF" is pretty high up too, but that fight was actually pretty cool.

I really like when this kind of stuff happens. It used to annoy me, but now I find it a hilarious trope.



I also admire that Star Platinum's super-quick punchy fists aren't just copy/pastes; they're each drawn individually and goddamn that must take forever.

Araki probably farms some of it out to assistants, but still. Goddamn.

Araki actually does the drawing of the characters himself, it's the backgrounds he farms out to his assistants. He actually has his entire work area surrounded with character sketches so he can remember all their little accessories. Jojo comes out monthly instead of weekly, so that gives him time to work on his art.

I was wondering what his production schedule is like. The art is so detailed, I figured there was no way for him to get a chapter a week done. It's definitely worth waiting a month for such high-quality work.

Whether you are reading Jojo or not, you should definitely take a minute and thirty seconds to admire just how incredibly fabulous the opening for the Part 2 anime adaptation is.

So they replace that fiery manliness from the first opening with absolute fabulousity? I'm okay with this.

This week animated the scene that is the reason why Joseph is the prettiest Jojo girl.

And now I am fangirling out because the third trailer for Jojo All Star Battle is out and it has about half of my favorite Jojo characters in it.



Jolyne, Hermes, Josuke, Okuyasu, Polnareff, Abdul...


and Dio is magnificently crazy.

So I just finished Part 3 and while I really liked most of the fights and how Araki manages to keep them very succinct and fun and not drag them on like most Shonen battle manga I was a bit disappointed with the final fight.

In lieu of that Joseph is currently still my favorite Jojo and it would have been nice to have seen some more of his sneaky trickster side.

All in all I've been enjoying it quite a bit though, so thanks again for making this thread and getting me interested in the series again.

I can sort of agree, but sort of disagree. I think it's slightly cliche but the way it was so RAPIDLY applied is what really makes it amazing. Old trope, sure, but the way Araki uses it makes it work.

Reviving this thread to say that I have made a habit of reading a couple of chapters of Jojo every day at lunch with a friend. We are halfway through part 1 and Speedwagon is pretty much the best thing in my life right now.

Everyone loves Speedwagon. It's impossible not to.

Snap, I forgot about this in all this fuss about moving. I need to get back to reading!

Jojo is amazing. I keep stopping every few pages (or every single page) to just marvel at the art. And virtually everything Joseph says.

I'm at part six right now and I keep having to stop and swoon over how much I love Jolyne.

I love how she is taking shit from absolutely nobody and her cool Stand and also how she dresses kind of sexy but not actually any skimpier than like half the men in her family. There's pretty much nothing in her wardrobe Joseph would mind being caught dead in.

The cover art for the single that is being used for the Part 2 opening has Joseph actually wearing Jolyne's clothes.

Hi, I delurked to post this, as I am a (somewhat) fan of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, mostly from the abridged series on YouTube, and was disappointed that no one had mentioned it until now.

Shine on Joseph Joestar, you crazy diamond.

They just released the 4th promo video for Jojo All Star Battles and my daughter is making fun of how hard I fangirled out. They show a lot of the goofier stuff that the characters they have already shown off, then debut two of my favorites, Johnny and Gappy. And KIRA, which means KILLER QUEEN JFC.


They recently revealed a little of how Johnny is going to play in the game as well, being a character that is paralyzed below the waist. He will have to crawl with his arms unless he is on his horse and will have to rely on his ranged attacks. He also has different move sets depending on which level of his stand he is using, which goes up to 4. Sounds complicated, but he's my favorite Jojo so I'm gonna learn it.

I can't read it well, nor can I translate since all the text is in Flash, but Crunchyroll says it's based off of TokiMemo GS. I AM SCREAMING.

I would name my character Balls Mahoney, as usual. It wouldn't even stand out as being unusual in Joseph's route.

Ok sadly a friend of mine that understand japanese says it's just a joke and not a real game :( He even pointed out that it's written "Play5tation portable" with the 5... I'm so disappointed right now, can't someone actually make this game?
