I listed the classics that made the genre. So by definition the stuff on recent consoles doesn't apply anyway. And even if it did, there weren't truly memorable JRPGs released, with the only exclusion of Xenoblade (that can be emulated even if it loves to crash). My other point is that all those games are also playable and fun as they were, since they seem ageless. Compared to western games that age horribly and are too bound to the hardware. I also deliberately left out games that make their own genre, like Zelda or Pokemon, or the list would be filled with them.
