More flash deals up. What is this Ravaged game all about? The page video looks good but has anyone played it?
+1 to the empty servers, so much so , that the game was $25 last month and now...... $4 :| AVOID IT! Game Tracker : http://www.gametracker.com/search/ravaged/?&sort=c_numplayers&order=DESC
Origin's Black Friday sale is up, today only. NFS:MW is the main temptation for me, the rest are a bit meh. Battlefield 3: $12 C&C Ultimate Edition: $25 Medal of Honor Warfighter: $30 Need For Speed Most Wanted: $25 Sims 3 Seasons: $20 Sims 3 Supernatural: $20 Sims 3 Pets: $12 Darksiders 2: $25 FIFA Manager 13: $20 FIFA Soccer 13: $20 Madden 13 (PS3/360): $30 That's mostly for the PC download version; console or physical copies are usually the same or slightly more.
New Flash Sales on Steam: Anna -66%($3.39) Inversion -75%($9.99) Magicka -75%($2.49) I love horror adventures, is Anna any good? Edit: never mind. Anna has some daft DRM where you have to make an account on the developer's site as well, who'll then send you an e-mail with a code eventually.
I just realized I have a "Breath of Death VII" and Cthulhu Saves The World" to give away if anyone wants them. Door Busters? (4 day weekends are AWESOME)
Farming Simulator 2013 for $15 on Steam. Anyone played it? It's about $8 too much for an impulse buy.
Gamersgate is having a 50% sale on Dishonored. Activates on Steam. I'm guessing it will show up in a flash sale on Steam later, but why wait?
Yeah, I almost haven't bought anything, but I decided to pick up The Walking Dead since I haven't played an adventure game in years.
Hey folks, I put lists together of all the space game deals on Steam and everywhere else. I hope y'all find it helpful. :)
For the LOTRO players, you can get 50% off on the latest expansion, Riders of Rohan. It comes with 1000 store points, so it's effectively $10 for the base version, assuming you'd have bought that many points at some point anyway. You can get the previous three expansions bundled for $20, too.
I don't mean to be a total ignoramus, but I was just gifted Civ V and I see the popular Gods & Kings expansion on sale at Gamersgate for $10.18 (activates on Steam). I know there are a bunch of other expansions for Civ V, but what is necessary? Can I survive with G&K until the others go on sale?
There's DLC that adds other civilizations, but there are no other expansions. You can hold off on the DLC until you get bored of the Civs currently in the game.
Is Civ 5, and consequently the expansion, not likely to be a daily deal in the next few days? Maybe wait and see till the last day of the sale.
Has this not been mentioned in this thread? http://www.amazon.com/Sid-Meiers-Ci...qid=1353697543&sr=1-7&keywords=civilization 5 Gods and Kings is $7.50 at Amazon. Says Mac version but will activate for PC on steam. The Game of the Year and base game are also cheap for the Mac version there.
Gods and Kings changes the game a ton. If you play the vanilla game until you get bored then download the DLC it's like playing a new game.
Thanks! Missed that in all the sales fervor. What's wild is I remember all the mediocre reviews and press about Civ 5 when it first came out, and as soon as G&K came out, gamers have been frothing at the mouth to get it, me included. Has the game improved that much, or was Civ 5 not that bad to begin with?
Oh, and on Amazon the DLC is on sale as well. It says Mac, but I'm going to assume it applies to PC as well, like G&K
It wasn't that bad to begin with. I put in (and mostly enjoyed, except for my last playthrough as India (?)) about 50 hours before getting frustrated with the braindead AI. Haven't spent enough time with the expansion to know how much improved it is. Haven't tried it myself, but I assume it would just give you a code to type into Steam, yes.
I've picked up Rage for my husband and a few indie adventure games for my daughter, but so far nothing for myself :( I had hoped to get 66% of Skyrim DLC, so I'll hold out until the winter sale for that. There's still Torchlight 2 as well, it's likely that that will go up as a Daily Deal/Flash Sale, right? So far the sale has been a bit underwhelming...
Didn't the original designer leave? Maybe I'm wrong. I just remember a lot of disappointed fans who steadily became less disappointed over time (which is great).
All Civ lead designers have left after their game was released, though some not so soon. At any rate, Civ5 was never horrible but it did need some patching up which has subsequently happened, and G&K is the culmination of that.
The original designer did get hired elsewhere, but the reaction to the game was quite positive - unless you happened to be at one person's website whose small army of sycophants parroted all of his complaints. But no doubt G&K makes a good game even better. Back to our regularly scheduled thread, already in progress... I feel really, really dirty for mentioning this, but Gamefly has some sales up now. http://www.gamefly.com/download-gam...5&cid=bfgd112312&stop_mobi=once#axzz2D4n70SbX Most of the deals are shit, but Kingdom of Amalur is only $7.99 there...which is far less than any other website. I think Amazon is supposed to have it on sale later this weekend for around $12.99. I hate buying from those guys, but that's a pretty damn good deal.
What's wrong with Gamefly? Any time I've bought from them I've gotten a perfect case, manual, and scratch-free disc.
Well, this is a digital download anyway. But when they took over Direct2Drive, they didn't offer the entire catalogue of games that D2D offered. So many people had digital games that they purchased that they could no longer use or download - that caused more than a wee bit of resentment.
I just picked up the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition for $14.99 from Amazon. It's just the "online game code" though. I've got the code but there are no instructions on how to actually download the game. The Amazon Game & Software Downloader app is installed and running on my system but it's showing no activity. I've contacted Amazon customer support twice now but they have been extremely unhelpful so far. I've got another support request pending with them but don't hold out much hope that they'll be of any use. Can anyone who has already bought this title from the Amazon download service please describe how one actually goes about getting one's mitts on the miffing game? Thanks awfully!
Most Wanted is only $20 on Amazon or, if you're a dirty Canadian, Gamestop's download store (formerly known as Impulse). You have to install the Gamestop client to get the key from there though (but you can uninstall it right after).
Steam Flash Sales @ 5:00PM EST: Left for Dead 2 - $9.99 Kings Bounty: Warriors of the North - $14.99 Thief Collection - $6.74
