Not sure if this was listed before, but Borderlands 2 is half price on Amazon (30 bucks) couldnt pass it up at that price.
That's the problem; they pretend they do, but (I think) they did it by buying Direct2Drive and half-assedly implementing their system. I wouldn't trust it to last, and if it has a key activation I wouldn't trust their key servers to run either. They did it once, nobody (in the media, and thus nobody) called them on it, they can do it again.
If you ever signed up for IGN Prime to take advantage of their "permanent" 15% discount at GamersGate, you should be aware that it has ended.
The recently released King's Bounty - Warriors of the North is a Steam Sale Flash Deal for $14.99 (50% off) for about the next 7 hours. Late night bargain hunters rejoice.
And the latest batch of Flash Sales on Steam (SlainteMhath, check out the page prior): Fear 3 - $4.99 Deadlight - $7.49 Trine Collection - $8.74
This is really tempting except I suspect I'm gonna play it, love it, finish it, done. Those games are really hard for me to justify over ~15 bucks these days. :/
Yeah I came super close to buying as well - but then remembered I still needed to buy Christmas presents for like EVERYONE. under $20 probably woudl have done it though. I'm also tempted by Transformers on Steam for $25, but again I think It needs to go under $20.
To illustrate the illogicality of any pricing of digitally distributed games and what is "cheap", I spent $12 on ice cream at the shopping centre (or "mall") within an hour of making this statement.
At the Microsoft store: Skyrim: $9.99 Mass Effect 3: $9.99 Max Payne 3: $9.99 Dead Island: $9.99 Age of Empires 3 Complete Collection: $9.99 Battlefield 3 (XBox 360): $9.99 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (XBox 360): $9.99 Gears of War 3 (XBox 360): $9.99 A bunch of other recent releases at the $9.99 price point too.
Flash sale: BLOPS - 50% off Carrier Command - 50% off Dawn Of War II full pack - 75% off Come on Steam, put Torchlight 2 up already!
I don't think they're the same genre of game. FoF is a RPG...Farming Simulator is a sim. Though I wouldn't spend $15 on farming simulator either. :)
Next set of flash deals from Steam: Hotline Miami - $4.99 Fallen Enchantress - $19.99 Mass Effect 2 - $5.99
No deals on the DLC packs though. I'm guessing they don't want to devalue their season passes just yet.
I certainly understand the feeling that spending over fifteen dollars on something that you love is just too much. Which is why this year for Christmas everyone in my family is getting a book of coupons for free hugs.
I think farming simulator is worth about $15, if you like driving heavy machinery while seeding and plowing fields. I find it to be quite cathartic for some reason.
If you're into gaming hardware, the Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse is on sale at Amazon.com for $34.99, which is half off (I think you mean almost half off! ~random pedantic stranger) its normal price of $69.99. It offers amazing features, such as: Buttons: A Wheel: Lasers! A Heavy Duty Cord! [NOT PICTURED] Tiny Little Weights! Yea, I don't know either: I've been using one since earlier this year and I have no complaints about it, and it's the best mouse I've ever used. It suffers through quite a bit of abuse too. The only common issue I've heard from other people is that it feels a bit too big in their hand to comfortably reach the front-most thumb button on the quick. But to be fair, they all had petite hands (and it is a huge mouse with a huge footprint, which is one reason why it works so well for me). So if you have petite hands you've been warned. It allows DPI switching on the fly, will store gaming profiles, and switch to those profiles automatically when starting up specific games. The wheel also toggles into a free-scroll mode for those gamers stuck in 2008.
I predict they'll be re-gifted several times. In March a Tattooed Neo-Nazi named Bubba will knock on your door with a book of coupons and a gap toothed grin.
