Indie Royale: Winter Bundle is up. Included are: Greed Corp - Boardgame thingy, sometimes on sale individually. Hamlet - No clue, says it's an Adventure game. BIT.TRIP RUNNER - The only game seen more commonly in bundles than this is Gish. Leave Home - A SHMUP They Breathe - idk. Sounds like a horror-themed Aquaria? Conquest of Elysium 3 - This is why you should buy this bundle. It's Illwinter's newest game, sort of a single-player Dominions.
GamersGate's Four Daily Deal for December 6th or what I call "Go medieval": Warlock: Master of the Arcane $4.99 (75% off). Turn-based fantasy. Viking Battle for Asgard $7.48 (50% off). Action-based fantasy. Titan Quest Immortal Throne $3.74 (75% off). Click-based fantasy. From Dust $3.74 (75% off). Real-time fantasy. I think. Gamefly also has a pair of 99 cent deals if you live in North America only: Transcripted is 'a mixture of two incredibly addictive and vastly popular casual gaming styles: the dual-stick shooter and the match three puzzle game' and has possibly the least exciting name for a game ever. There's also X-Blade, in which you take a well-endowed woman through action setpieces in search of clothing, as she wears almost none. You may not want to check the screenshots from work, unless you are employed at a nude beach, perhaps.
Challenge accepted. While it would never cause me to actually purchase said game, count me in the category of pathetic, old married guys who find crazily proportioned, pixelated women mildly arousing. Sorry ladies, I am part of the problem. ;)
The Steam Daily Deal for December 6 is DEFCON for $2.49 (75% off). It's "inspired by the 1983 cult classic film, Wargames". It does not, however, include this:
It's an Indie-riffic Steam Weekend: #1: As mentioned, FTL: Faster Than Light is $5.99 (40% off). In space no one can hear forget to put out the fire in engineering, though the screaming crew members are a good reminder*. #2: Hotline Miami is $4.99 (50% off). Retro! Pixels! Guns! Gore! * I don't know if crew members actually scream but they totally should
Awesome, I always wanted the full version of this, I had played the demo years ago and forgotten about this game. Introversion's best game, in my opinion.
gog.com's Weekend Deal is 60% off (some) Myst games and The Manhole: Riven: The Sequel To Myst $2.39 Real Myst $2.39 Myst: Masterpiece Edition $2.39 Myst 5: End Of Ages (Limited Edition) $3.99 Manhole: Masterpiece Edition $2.39 Uru: Complete Chronicles $3.99 GamersGate's four Daily Deals for December 7: Ravaged $2.49 (75% off). How your wallet will feel if you buy this. LEGO Batman The Video Game $4.99 (75% off). But without Christian Bale's weird Batman voice. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 $2.50 (75% off). Sure you couldn't jump in the original GR, but we liked it! ARMA 2 $9.98 (50% off). War. War never changes. System requirements, however, tend to increase.
Not sure about their best. I liked Uplink more than anything they've done since. I will agree that DEFCON is definitely Introversion's most evocative game, though. As a teen of the 80s that big board speaks volumes to me.

If you decide you want some MP, let me know. It's been years and I kind of want to poke around with it again. Maybe we could get some others to join, too.
The Steam Daily Deal for December 7 is Check vs Mate for $4.99 (75% off). As you might guess, this is a chess game but it's all 3D and stuff. Also, this is baffling: CHECK VS. MATE calls for an interactive feather duster, chartering the successful chess game principle into the present day multi-media world.
I will poke you anytime you want baby. I'm wondering if there's Steam integration. I'll jump on mumble tonight.
Get a single use 35% off code with GMG by doing their survey: WINTR-SRVEY-42012 Some other good stuff in there as well: Today 35% off Hitman: Absolution – Professional Edition (Steam) with GMG35-3PPWQ-TEONQ 30% off Guild Wars 2 with GMG30-PXG98-CXR61 Tomorrow 40% off Doom 3 BFG Edition with GMG40-9X5OP-PBQA8 30% off LEGO Lord of the Rings with GMG30-KDJQC-BWQCE Sunday 35% off Football Manager 2013 with GMG35-0VJBL-WKQEA 30% off XCOM: Enemy Unknown with GMG30-0LKXU-EPF98 Monday 40% off The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with GMG40-4DIJU-TT4PB 30% off Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition with GMG30-06DO3-LTVV9 Tuesday 50% off Fallout: New Vegas with GMG50-MZRFC-P9H77 35% off ARMA II: Combined Operations with GMG35-O90RW-Q2CD2 Wednesday 30% off Assassin’s Creed III with GMG30-H86GA-AQB2H 30% off Far Cry 3 with GMG30-FC31S-GR34T (both listed as “Europe only” but GMG hasn’t been very good with regional restrictions so worth a try) Thursday 30% off Borderlands 2 Season Pass with GMG30-BL2SE-ASONP I must admit I usually only ever use GMG if it is a steam game though. Sadly Farcry3 doesn't seem to be steamworks
LEGO LOTRO and Dark Souls don't seem to be available at the moment at GMG. Hopefully they'll be up on their sale-day. Or is it a regional thing (I'm in the EU)?
GamersGate's four daily deals for December 8th: Renegade Ops $3.75 (75% off). Use a controller so you don't smash your keyboard. Flotilla $2.49 (75% off). And I quote: 'Blow up your friend.' Company of Heroes Gold Edition $7.50 (75% off). Also available for 1 cent here. Battlefield 3 Premium Edition $35.97 (40% off). Includes a real fighter jet. Steam Daily Deal for December 8th is Tryst for $12.49 (50% off). It sounds like a visual novel but it's apparently 'a competitive Real Time Strategy Game that provides a unique, fast paced spin to the established strategy model that combines player choice with unit customization'. By coincidence its metacritic score is also 50% off.
Flotilla is a fun little time. Not awesome, but not bad either. I enjoyed Weird Worlds better, though. Combat in Flotilla is a bit obtuse.
To me, the combat is what makes Flotilla. Fully 3d tactical combat in space is odd, especially when it's turn based. But if for nothing else, check out that combat. I'll admit that it can get tedious, but the tactical options are staggering.
My recently purchased XFX Radeon HD 7870 came with a free copy of Dirt: Showdown that I don't want. If you'd like it, PM me for the code. I'd prefer to give the game to someone who will enjoy playing it rather than someone who just likes to collect games, so please bear that in mind. The code has now been given away.
Cross-posted from GWJ... Merry Holidays, y'all! Thanks in advance for helping me clean out my games on disk! > Most games below are reliably known to work on an Windows XP PC. No idea about Windows 7. >Most do NOT have manuals with them, but some will. >Most have the necessary CD keys printed on the case. >All are FREE, including shipping to the Continental U.S. I could unload these to the nearest Goodwill or Salvation army store, but I'd rather they go to an appreciative home. I will ship in the next few days, but it could take a week or more. >I reserve the right to have been wrong about the system or the CD key, in that rare case. GamersGate's four daily deals for December 9th are: Sonic Generations $10.18 (80% off). Runs on Steam. Ho ho. Conflict Denied Ops $3.24 (75% off). Awkwardly named co-op military shooter. All of the screenshots show two CIA special agents very close together and holding big guns*. Beyond Good & Evil $3.00 (70% off) Well-regarded oldie. Bionic Commando Rearmed $3.38 (66% off). IGN calls it bite-sized and downloadable. * I'm serious. Look at these: "More explosions. Just what we need." "Did I leave the stove on? I think I did." "You're brushing up against me again." "I'm sorry, I -- " "Don't stop." "I've got your back." "And I've got yours." Romantic music plays over the bombs exploding.
Steam Daily Deal for December 9th is Postal 2 Complete for $7.49 (50% off). "Blast, chop and piss your way through a freakshow of American caricatures in this darkly humorous first-person adventure." The Steam community helped picked this game by voting for it in Steam Greenlight.
I want there to be annual forum member awards just so he can give an annual acceptance speech for his fine, fine work in this thread. And I want the award to be in the shape of a silly hat that his adorable yet sassy avatar can don.
Aw, you guys are nice. And I do like silly hats. GamersGate's four daily deals for December 10th are: Defenders of Ardania Collection $3.25 (75% off). 3D fantasy action tower defense. Orcs Must Die 2 $5.08 (66% off). 3D fantasy action tower defense. With orcs. Might & Magic Heroes VI De-Luxe $17.97 (40% off). 3D fantasy turn-based action with towers in there somewhere, possibly. LEGO® Batman 2 DC Super Heroes™ $7.50 (85% off). 3D fantasy action with Batman. Bruce Wayne works in an office tower. There are still four days left to use Green Man Gaming's 25% off voucher: GMG25-CZPYL-D5MQ6
GreenMan Gaming has Dead Island: GotY Edition for €6.59 today: http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/ie/en/pc/games/action/dead-island-game-year/
Greenmangaming confuses me with their codes. Dark Souls has the 30% off code posted earlier, but they also have a 35% off code. They don't stack, though. I thought GMG had stacking discounts? I'm not complaining about not getting a 45.5% discount on the game, just about tracking their amazing deals all the time.
