It's actually even cheaper for Euro folks, which is rare for GMG: €3.50 (with 30% off code, of course).
Civ V Gods and Kings on GMG is $3.15 with code GMG30-DPLIM-DN831. http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/ie/en/pc/games/strategy/sid-meiers-civilization-v-gods-and-kings/ This game requires a free Steam account to play, and it's an expansion so the base game is required as well.
If you get a message rejecting that code, keep trying. I had it take on the second try after getting an 'invalid' message the first time. Thus saving me an extra $1.34!!

I have two GMG questions: is the 30% off coupon re-usable (the page either doesn't say or I missed it) and when do the 24 hour deals begin? I'll probably not link them if they end up expiring an hour after I post.
So is there a good place to watch out for Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network game sales? There are a handful of games that I want to check out that are exclusive to those systems, but with my backlog I don't want to pay $15 or more for them. Stuff like Dust, Fez, Journey, etc. The bargain threads here are pretty PC-centric.

Newegg promotion popped up in my email this morning: Western Digital Black (WD1002FAEX) - Bare Drive $79.99 With Promo Code: EMCYTZT2717 Expires: 11:59pm PT on 12/31/2012!
I couldn't get past the demo, pseudo platformer on rails that does all it can to only let you die at the moments it allows.
I hear it's pretty good until the end, which is somehow so bad as to render the entire experience not worth it. I still intend to look into it at some point.
I think in that case, I'll pass. I'm going through a post-apocalyptic phase, but I've got enough games to satisfy that craving yet. Thanks though, Elyscape. :)
Bought. Thanks for the tip. Crazy, crazy question: since FotS must perforce include Shogun 2, do I need to purchase Shogun 2 vanilla separately in order to play those campaigns?
Only two new deals for GamersGate to ring in the new year: Red Faction: Armageddon $4.99 (75% off). The title references how this game killed the series. Hitman Collection $6.25 (75% off). Includes the original, Hitman 2 and Blood Money. Does not include sexy gun-toting nuns. gog.com's 24 hour deal today is a World War II Games Bundle. Nine games for $21.41 (75% off) but only if you buy all of them: Blitzkrieg Anthology Blitzkrieg 2 Anthology Commandos Ammo Pack Commandos 2+3 Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945 Panzer General 2 Panzer General 3D Assault And a reminder that there are only two days left to use Green Man Gaming's 30% off voucher GMG30-DPLIM-DN831.
FALL of the Samurai is standalone. You do not need Shogun 2 vanilla to play. Simply register the game with Steam, download and you are good to go. RISE of the Samurai, the first DLC for the game, did require the base game if I recall correctly, thus the confusion.
Thanks. I've loaded it up and Shogun 2 vanilla is unplayable, which is too bad, but I suppose makes sense. Will wait on a global 75% off on the franchise, but I'm glad to have gotten FotS.
So is this it for Amazon's Editor's Choice sale? It says it starts today, but some of the games on there aren't marked down at all.
I believe prices will fluctuate throughout the month, I think a few more games will be added tomorrow (1/2/13). I got Max Payne 3 for $10, and am tempted to get The Secret World, but I pretty much have a month of time to catch up on the backlog and finish the 11 games I am currently playing. :p So I just talked myself out of getting The Secret World.
Word is that sometime this week Amazon will have XCOM on sale for $24.99 ($19.99) and Borderlands 2 for $29.99 ($24.99).
I've been looking for good deals (whatever that means) for both The Secret World and Guild Wars 2 without luck. Perhaps sometime this month...
GamersGate offers the following daily deals for January 2nd: Saints Row the Third $7.49 (75% off). It shall always be on sale somewhere forevermore. Carcassonne $2.49 (75% off). Classic boardgame on the PC. World in Conflict Complete Edition $2.49 (75% off). Includes Soviet Assault expansion. Hitman: Blood Money $2.49 (75% off). MURDER SIMULATOR. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare $12.50 (50% off). When iron maiden wasn't just a band your parents hated. The Guild Universe $4.99 (75% off). Includes The Guild, Guild II and expansions. Tropico 4 Collection $16 (80% off). Comes with a whole bunch o' DLC. Train Simulator 2013 $7.49 (75% off). Oh god YES. GMG's Daily Deal is Jet Set Radio for $3.39 (66% off). gog.com is putting up a lot of its 75% off bundles and other offers for the last 24 hours of its holiday sale. Most are linked right from the main page so have a look-see.
Yesterday GamersGate had Red Faction: Armageddon on sale for $4.99. Today they have SR3 on sale for $7.49. Someone should tell them that we already bought these games all together for a buck last month.
Vesper adores it, and thinks it's one of the best indie games to come out in ages or something. I also picked it up recently, but am still plugging through the early stuff. So far it seems to be a very solid side-scroller puzzle game with its main gimmick being the liquid physics engine. There's also a Steam demo, if you want to download it and try it.
Shit. Old age memory sucks. Also, I did find it very impressive. But, like most games, I haven't put a ton of time into it.
