Until midnight tomorrow Pacific time Gamefly is offering the following midweek deals at 66% off or so: A Game of Dwarves $3.40. A short game, perhaps. Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit $5.10. A 'crazy action-adventure platformer'. Sine Mora $3.40. A horizontal shoot-em up with music by Akira 'Silent Hill' Yamaoka.
Dammit! I bought Carcassonne from GG after I promised myself I would never do business with them again. But for $2.50...and it's just the kind of game I like. I'm deeply ashamed. I'm an addict. Is there a 12 step program for gamers? Bad yamo! Bad! Bad!!
GamersGate's deals for January 3rd. A few repeats: LEGO Lord of the Rings $13.48 (50% off). One block-shaped ring to rule them all. Iron Liberation: Liberation 1944 $7.49 (75% off). A repeat. Front Mission Evolved $4.42 (66% off). 'Action-packed third person shooter'. Legacy of Kain Collection $6.12 (66% off). Includes Defiance, Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2. Of Orcs and Men $29.99 (25% off). A repeat (and has also been less). Tropico 4 Collection $27.20 (66% off). Includes DLC and Modern Times expansion pack. War of the Roses $14.97 or $17.50 for the Deluxe Edition (50% off). Neither features Michael Douglas or Kathleen Turner. gog.com: SALE OVER. Still heaps o' stuff for sale if you check GMG 's Hot Deals page.
That seems pretty good for LEGO LOTR. It's only 10% off on Steam, so I doubt even a daily deal on it would be much better (edit: and upon checking the Steam thread, it was indeed on sale earlier and it was a terrible deal).
So as mentioned previously in the thread Amazon's Editor's Choice 2012 Digital Download list is up. This is the list of games that qualify for $5 off if you purchased a digital download game from Amazon in November or December. The $5 credit is good through the end of January on anything in the list (games were added yesterday and today and could be added in the days to come) and is useable only once per game ordered and once per game purchased back in 2012. In other words you get one $5 credit for every qaulifying game you bought in Nov/Dec and can only use one $5 credit on a single game purchase. Current attractive deals include (price is after $5 coupon): Spec Ops : The Line - $2.50 (or bundled with Bioshock I and II for $5) Hotline Miami - $2.50 Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition - $12.99 The Darkness 2 - $2.50 XCOM : Enemy Unknown - $19.99 The Secret World - $17.49 (rumor has it that the extra founder items may still be granted on activation) Mass Effect 3 - $9.99 (or the Digital Deluxe edition with DLC for $14.99) 2K Strategy Super Pack - $14.99 (CIV 5 GOTY, CIV 5 G&K, CIV 4 Complete, Stronghold Collection, fantastic deal) Borderlands 2 - $24.99 Kingdoms of Amular Complete Bundle (w/DLC) - $9.99
I thought you got The Secret World price wrong until I checked Amazon. They raised the price! It was $17.99 ($12.99 with coupon) yesterday. EDIT: And was Darkness II $7.49 before? $2.49 with coupon!
Since I've got Borderlands 2, Civ V and Civ IV and Dark souls (I mean, who doesn't, right?), looks like I'll go with Mass Effect 3 unless someone warns me off.
Any chance Max Payne 3 will come back to Amazon during the sale? I want it, but I don't $24.99-for-a-physical-copy want it.
GamersGate has a bunch o' deals for January 4th: Fallout: New Vegas $4.99 (75% off). Cheap post-apocalyptic fun. From Dust $3.74 (75% off). From Ubi. RUSE $4.99 (75% off). Amazon just price matched Steam's $12.49 price on The Walking Dead. That means it's all of $7.50 with a $5 credit from a previous purchase. It won't be that cheap again for a long time, so now is a perfect time to grab this awesome game. Gary Whitta helped write the story and script the dialog if that tips the scales for anyone on the fence.
I got a bunch of amazon credits, but they were only for Christmas day. What did you have to buy to get that credit?
Seemed like it was anything downloadable over the holiday span. I bought Dark Souls (twice) for friends and that qualified me (just got XCom for 19.99).
And I'm an idiot. There was no email record of a credit, but one magically appeared at checkout. Thanks!
To my knowledge there are no Whittalinks contained within The Walking Dead. What an awesome idea for an easter egg though! ;-)
GamersGate's deals for January 6th are: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood $4.99 (75% off). Stabbing simulator. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Deluxe $7.49 (75% off). Stabbing simulator with extra maps, MP characters, soundtrack and more. Silent Hunter 5 $4.98 (75% off). Is that your periscope or are you just glad to see me? Silent Hunter 5 Gold Edition $6.23 (75% off). Includes official guide and soundtrack, which is a series of loud sonar pings repeated for 40 minutes. Sine Mora 44.98 (50% off). Horizontal shoot-em up. Starvoid $2.49 (75% off). Multiplayer RTS that includes a bonus copy so you'll have at least one person to play with. Requires Steam. Just Cause 2 Complete Edition $7.50 (75% off). Includes gun and vehicle DLC. Monster trucks! Space Marine $7.49 (75% off). Shave your head in empathy. And wear battle armor.
Yentas everywhere will be delighted to see that the Steam Daily Deal for January 7th is A Virus Named Tom for $2.49 (75% off).
Poor little Bargain thread... GamersGate actually has a daily deal for January 8th! It's Dungeon Siege III for $4.99 (75% off). gog.com: none GMG: none (20% off coupon is good for 5 more days, though: GMG20-PJFEW-Y16HK) Steam: daily and midweek deals soon™
Steam Daily Deal for January 8th is Postal 2 Complete for $7.49 (75% off). Live the headline, be the headline. Midweek Madness: 1. Spec Ops: The Line $7.49 (75% off). Edgy manshooter. 2. Solar 2 $2.49 (75% off). 'Solar 2 is an open-world, sandbox game set in an infinite abstract universe'.
I picked it up, and thought it was fun, albeit mellow, little game. Less realistic, but more entertaining, than the Universe in a Sandbox one. Tooling around as a black hole, vacuuming up the universe == good times.
Steam Daily Deal for January 9th is Puddle for $4.99 (75% off). Play as a blob of liquid, just like in the old childhood game Cowboys and Liquid Blobs.
oh dear god three more juicy Crusader Kings DLCs coming out soon and I still haven't learned the game. Isn't there a Paradox chip I can implant or something?
The GamersGate Daily Deal for January 10th is Sleeping Dogs for $20 (60% off). You do not play as a blob of liquid in this game.
The Steam Daily Deal for January 10th is Retro City Rampage for $7.49 (50% off). Killing with pixels.
Kitten trifecta! Steam's Weekend Deals are up: #1: Ravaged $3.39 (66% off) and free to play until 1 p.m. Sunday Pacific time. 'Ravaged is designed with a heavy focus on vehicular combat taking place on vast maps.' Translation: You will drive for a long time before finally coming across some kid in a pimped out dump truck who will kill you in two seconds*. #2: FTL: Faster Than Light $4.99 (50% off). In case you missed it in the Winter Sale. EDIT: GamesrsGate is having a Sniper Elite Weekend with 66% off various Sniper Elite titles such as Sniper Elite V2 for $17. In Sniper Elite V2 you play a crack Nazi commando who is sent over enemy lines while strapped to an experimental V2 rocket. You must pick off your targets before the rocket lands, which is to say, crashes and explodes. For the Fatherland!** * game may not actually feature dump trucks ** scenario may not appear in game exactly as described
gog.com's Weekend Deal is 60% off Digital Game Factory's titles. All games are $2.39 except Commandos 2+3, which is $3.99: Commandos Ammo Pack Commandos 2+3 Praetorians Mob Rule Constructor Imperial Glory Creatures: The Albian Years Creatures Village Creatures Exodus
The Darksiders 2 Franchise Pack is on sale on Amazon for $13.19, which is just $8.19 if you have a $5 Editor's Choice credit still to burn. The Franchise pack includes Darksiders, Darksiders 2, Darksiders 2 Season Pass, and all existing Darksiders 2 DLC. That's a heck of a deal even at the $13 price point. Also at Amazon if anyone missed it during the 1000 sales over the holidays, Saints Row the Third Full Package <insert package joke here> is on sale for $12.49, which means $7.49 for those with an EC credit. Full Package is just what it sounds like, Saints Row Third with all DLC and mission packs. And just a reminder, they still have Walking Dead at $12.49, or $7.49 after EC credit. Won't last too much longer I assume.
This one is not good. The vehicles handle poorly and get stuck often. Worse than old school Battlefield to get a ride. Not the worst shooter, but map design is crap and mission design might also be crap. I lack the will for further discovery.
