Today's Broken Forum Member of the Day is OZ 4.0 for giving me the idea of making this thread. Congratulations, OZ 4.0! As a prize, you will receive:
Damn it, Elyscape, stop confusing me! I probably stared at that for a good three seconds before I figured out what those were not, in fact, the same topic.
Today's Broken Forum Member of the Day is Pogo, for getting a week's ban that expired approximately fifteen minutes after being applied. Time just doesn't seem to apply to him. So, congratulations, Pogo! In recognition of your achievement, I hereby present you with an instruction manual for how to get longer-lasting bans that actually stick:
Today's Broken Forum Member of the Day award goes to Hiredgoons several days after the fact for going above and beyond in his quest to make VegasRobb wonder why the hell he deserved this. In a good way! As such, congratulations, Hiredgoons! In accordance with ancient tradition, you are henceforth the proud bearer of this highly prestigious mark:
I think this thread would be better with a tiny bit more context (say a link to the Secret Santa opening thread), but if Elyscape thinks mystery adds something to the thread (maybe he enjoys the idea of people searching through Pogo's post history to figure out what he got a temp ban for), it's his call. Edit: Boo, the context got edited out by Lum/Elyscape. This thread is bullshit!
Hanacker: Here's the short version. Pogo made joke directed at me. I thought it was really fucking funny. apparently nobody else did, but because I wasn't offended Pogo got unbanned. I think this means Pogo owes me cookies or something.
I forgot to do this yesterday! Accordingly, today's Broken Forum Member of the Day is Bill Dungsroman, who pointed out something interesting in the IRC channel: <Bill_Dungsroman> weekly would work better I thinkYes it would, Bill. Yes it would. In honor of your foresight, your thoughts regarding this thread have been converted into pictoral form:
Today's BFer of the day is Kildorn, just because he's been a great contributor to the community despite lacking an avatar. Thanks Kildorn!
Noooooooooo~~~~ Blue Falcon was an Army expression that meant Buddy Fucker. Not carnal gymnastics, just screwing someone over.
We have a literal blue falcon statue in my office that gets informally passed around to whomever has been the greatest BFer that week.
One of Sun Tzu's lesser-known works. When they are shamming, appear to sham with them Do not notify them when an NCO walks around the corner Their rage will touch you not, for you are the CO's driver and cannot be touched
I have a red beret in a drawer, as a memento of my time in the army... Interestingly, the Norwegian armed forces use a piece of headgear, a big, bulky padded winter hat with flaps for your ears, called a BF(well, not officially, but absolutely everyone calls it that). BF stands for "bjønnefitte", which is a rather coarse term for a female bear's genitals.
Can I nominate someone? Because if I could it would be Damien Neil who has apparently paid January's entire $120 total for the forum costs himself. Lum is probably drunk right now thanks to his generosity.
