Glad it all arrived intact! I swear, that was the only box I could find around here with the right dimensions to fit the rolling pin. As for the filler material, I was going to recycle those old posters, anyway, so I'm glad they could actually be of some use before the end.

The clear plastic part of the puck holder goes into the gold-colored base, by the way. It's a stand.

I'm happy you still had it. Sorry I couldn't participate in the gift-giving this year; life was just too busy.

That looks just like my rolling pin... and it's been ages since Creative made keyboards.

It was great! Really enjoyed it. Great flavor, not too "hot" on the alcohol despite being a 10% by content. Very good indeed!

    Yay you opened them!!! :D

Yeah, I couldn't leave a name b/c the Amazon third-party retailer I ordered from didn't do gift options or anything, so I couldn't even leave a note. I figured it'd just be mysterious for a while.

So you didn't have them already? The Teahouse comic site had taken the merch page down when I last checked, so I had to enlist some stalking assistance from Omniscia (who now knows your complete life history, btw) and found your Facebook page with favorite shows, movies, etc. I don't watch Adventure Time (yet?) but it always looks fun and I thought you might dig those plushy dudes. It was a shot in the dark, since, you know, you hardly ever post here so I had no chance to stalk get to know you. ;)

SO glad to hear you're having adventures together! Hooray! Merry Christmas!

Okay, so, the fulfillment center dropped another package off tonight.

    Inside...
... another set of Story Cubes! My writer's block is running scared.

    Also...
... a big plastic tub of...

72 mini-bags of the original gummy bears!

VegasRobb you did a fantabulous job of Santa-ing. This is a pile of awesome stuff. You rock.

I don't think so, one of those books was her original gift suggestion. The site had their merch page down for a while though, so I had to fend for myself (aka enlist someone to stalk Facebook). :)
  10. VegasRobb Beer

    Jason,

You're welcome! I hope that you enjoy the things from your wishlist and I also hope you enjoy the non-wishlist items.

I like that they put the haribo goodness in a plastic tub instead of a bag. The tub will live on long after the bears.

Hate to say this but ... there's one more thing, but it's not going to make it until *well* after Christmas.

    Merry Christmas :)
  11. Athryn Despondent Fancybear

Omniscia, I dub that canister of cheese dust "cheese cocaine."

I made stovepop popcorn just so I could enjoy it, and it is SO GOOD.

KNITTING STICKERS!!! I think the larger one is going on my laptop. The smaller one... I'd kinda like to put it on my car, but I don't know if Quat will go for that.

THANK YOU Tyjenks!!! Best Santa EVER.

Toddlers prefer things that are outside their age range. Éamon likes all the toys that say they are for ages "3 and up," for instance (he's two).

I just checked the front porch. And what do you know -- a box!

    I wonder what's in it.

    A watch?

    A watch!

This may be the silliest watch I've ever seen! And I love it. It's cheesy fun, and screams to be worn with all black and a pair of motorcycle boots.

(The black band in the picture is my medical alert bracelet, not part of the watch. That would just be weird.)

I am also really happy that the band is leather, not metal, because I can't wear metal watchbands. But this I can wear.

Once again, Tyjenks has proven to be an awesome Santa. I'm tweeting the pic of the watch so all my knitter friends can enjoy the kitsch! :D

Whew! Excellent. While I did not wish you to have a Four Days of Christmas event, I am deliriously happy it worked out and you appear to like the stuff. I thought the watch was funny and cute, but wasn't sure what you would think. I finally said "aw fuck it, at worst it goes on a shelf and gets looked at with some mixture of confusion and amusement".

    Happy New Year!!!

    Physical loot has arrived!

Nestled neatly into the package were three wrapped things and an envelope, in helpful numerical order. Not pictured due to a combination of laziness and some pictures that turned out laughably badly, were interstitial notes on each package.

    The first contained this:

What you're seeing there, beyond the decided non-photogenic carpet, is the result of an impressive bit of history stalking. Years ago, I'd discovered Brad Neely's (also responsible for the George Washington song and other good things) alternate audio track to the first Harry Potter film, which is a work of sheer genius. I'd shared this knowledge with The Other Place, and that thread sank like a stone anchored with meh because, I don't know, muggles just don't appreciate magic, which is part of why the evil lord Valmart is so bitter. The other part being the natural consequence of being a dracula.

My Santa found this, took the audio tracks Brad Neely had made available, ripped the video and synched the audio to it and burned the whole shebang to disc. Which is an inspiring amount of trouble to go to, and I really hope the MPAA doesn't kick in either of our doors for it. Proceed to package 2, I was instructed, and I rightly feared that failure to comply would result in the ire of that most hideous woman, Professor Snake.

Like and Dislike stamps! I will now have to restrain the urge to lunge at people saying things in real life. Although if they get a bit LIKE stamped on them, they should really take it as a compliment. Onward!

As the note with it said, "I understand it was a stupid side quest during a lull in the plot*, and it all came to nothing, but who doesn't like zombies you can pull apart and see their guts fall out? Not I, surely. And hopefully not you." Just as surely, not I.

    *otherwise known as Season 2.

Although the note instructed to proceed to envelope #4, as previously established with Don't Starve I sometimes don't take orders very well. So I'd already opened my Steam gifting. (But I have so far obeyed the injunction to not starve. As there was no order to not be killed by spiders or be eaten by something in the dark, those deaths represent the free exercise of will.)

    Many thanks to Santa!
  38. Adam A Oh, Come On

    A, not B! :)

I really hope you like it. I stalked the crap out of you, and when I found a post of yours asking about 8 because you had played other Wizardries (Wizardrys?) and liked them, I decided that was your gift. Unfortunately, it's out of print and I couldn't find a shrink-wrapped, brand new copy. Hell, the last time I saw that game it was in a bargain bin for $7.99. Today, used copies cost a fortune. I feel like there's a missed investment opportunity there...

Apparently I also sent you my snow.

Let me know how you like the game. I, like you, have played the others and loved them, but not 8. Anyway, happy holidays, dude. It was fun getting to know you via the whole stalking thing.

Yeah I know, it's totally my bad for dropping off the face of the internet. But thank you so much for the gift! I really like them. :D Also if you haven't seen Adventure Time you need to, it's a great show.

Also I feel like I should be concerned that someone knows my internet trail but if it was in the name of Christmas, I'm okay with it. :U

Unfortunately I'm not that gifted. :/ But I asked for the Teahouse print comics because there is a substantial lack of pretty bishounen in my life. Their shop has been down for a few months now. So sad.
