Hey Santa, in my head I had posted that I had received everything you sent me days ago. However, as I was sitting at my desk at work looking at my packages (no, not my 'package', which I do normally), I began to doubt myself as I am wont to do as I age. So I looked back and could find nothing, so sorry if I caused you any undo anxiety as to whether I gots my stuff. I did and I am moist with excitement and anticipation!!! Even if the boxes are full of shiny, colorful rocks, I am sincerely thankful.

I'm crazy busy at work: Fulltime and freelance on top of that - and on top of that I've been picked to a project developing a new business for my company. The kind of project that might get you noticed by the right people, so it's not like I'm spending time with my family instead of looking for gifts. I'll try to make the deadline, and if all else fails, I will match the gift to your username.

Secret Santa has taken a backseat to NaNoWriMo. Gift buying will recommence Dec. 1.

A package arrived for me today. Most timely, too, as wednesays happen to be my day off work so I was able to answer the door and receive it in person. I successfully resisted the urge to read anything on it and it is now stashed in my wardrobe for the grand opening.

The things I have seen...

A package arrived yesterday, when nobody was home. Not having ordered anything from Amazon recently, I have dispatched my wife to the post office post haste to check. If you hear nothing more about it before unpacking day, it will be because the wench has hidden it from me somewhere.

A package arrived in our doorstep yesterday and I got all excited thinking it could be my SS gift but it just turned out to be something my husband ordered.

Which reminds me, I really need to get down to the post office and mail mine.

When I mailed mine out they wouldn't do delivery confirmation on it, so now I will stalk this thread FOREVER!

Or maybe in like a week and a half when it will probably get there.

What the shit is this?!? I got another package yesterday from my santa. I forgot to pick it up at P&D til this morning, and it is indeed from FATBIRD, INC. I suspect my santa has gone above and beyond the call of duty, because these aren't tiny boxes or anything.

The pieces are all coming together.

I tried to have mine shipped directly from the place I purchased it from, but the state my person lives in wont allow alcohol to be mailed to persons in that state. So I just got it here today and will reship it tomorrow or monday and just not say what is in the box.

I have a mass spectrometer and human-instruments - this is definitely not styrofoam.

Does smell a bit gamey, though.

Dear Santee (of course you don't know who you are)-
I'm not going to be able to ship gifts until the 10th, so don't panic if nothing has arrived and it's getting close to opening day.

My Santee's package is well on its way. I put a note indicating who I am in the box, so that particular surprise will be ruined as soon as it's opened. Now that I think about it, I put my name on the outside of the box, too. Dang. I did not think about this.

Anyway, the gifts themselves are individually wrapped but aren't labeled, so Santee, just make sure you keep 'em separate from all the other gifts you get so your other presents don't feel bad about how rad they aren't compared to the sweet gifts you are about to receive.

I have received a small box from Amazon and a large box from FedEx with a big label on the outside indicating it contains alcohol. I didn't think you could ship alcohol in MA, so that's a nice surprise.

Putting them aside until the 17th, but from the look of the packages I think I'm going to like my gifts!

Edit: upon further inspection of the alcohol bearing package, it appears to be from my mother. False alarm!

Oh. Yeah. My Santee: your presents are also not wrapped. Funny story about packaging though. So you're getting it in a priority mail box. I packed the SHIT out of it. Like I am a fucking tetris champion, here. Bahimiron was ridiculously impressed with what I was able to get into that box. I also included some notes about what was in the box and as I looked at how it was packed I became concerned that it was going overseas, so I better tape the hell out of it to make sure it all got there in one piece.

So I taped it up REAL GOOD! I was really pleased with myself. I'd managed to tape it TREMENDOUSLY and there were no folds in the tape and it all looked great and--

I had left the notes on the desk next to the box. God dammit. I sliced the top open, slid the notes in, and had to tape it again.

And that is my cool story, bro.

Dear Secret Santa: there was a typo in the address I sent to Matt Bowyer (wrong apt number). He has the new one now. If you've already sent to the old one, let him know to let me know (no biggie, it will be my new neighbor) and if you want even pass along a tracking number or whatever. I am doing everything I can to make life difficult for you because that is what the War on Christmas is all about.

FWIW, the come-uppance is coming-up; today I gave the wrong address to every single bank, vendor, and service that I use (including the post office forwarding service) except the DMV. So guess what I'm going to be doing SOBER for the next couple hours this beautiful Friday night? ;)

I think I got my package from my Santa, totally unexpected :D

Gifts are sent and on their way from Amazon! Should arrive mid next week.

Howdy. Got a suspicious package by the mailman today. It even knew my real forum name!

My crafting was waylaid by the passing of my father, so now I must decide: send the purchased gifts without the craft and send the craft later, or delay the gift so that it can be as intended but might be late?

An amazon package arrived for Aurora. If her Secret Santa is reading this, could he or she please contact me so I can confirm it's the SS gift, and keep it off her grubby little hands? So far I've been running interference, but keeping that woman away from Amazon boxes is... a challenge.

I have received two packages that I assume are my gifts! I'll be shipping part one of my santee's gifts later this week. As I said upthread, the second part is handmade, and it is taking longer than expected. >_<
