Broken Forum Secret Santa 2012!

Just sent mine out today. I'm crossing my fingers that it arrives in time. If it doesn't, I'm very sorry! Shame forever.

Sent mine yesterday, delivery is allegedly on the 13th. Allegedly.

I was in a bit of a panic but then the package arrived on Friday and I thought it'd be best if it got sent out before the weekend and the snow hit simultaneously so I didn't unpack to check and see if everything was OK and now I'm freaking out thinking that it's just a bunch of styrofoam and I'm not even sure the country I sent it to is real and ... I accept full responsibility.

I sent the stuff last week, should be arriving today or the next couple days. notfreakingoutnotfreakingoutnotfreakingout

My shipment goes out tomorrow. Woo!

Also, there are three gifts wrapped under the tree for me, and I have no idea what the hell any of them could be.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having your name be on the return label -- it's not like you're on here going "HEY NUTE WHAT SHOULD I GET YOU FOR SECRET SANTA????"

I'm sure my gift will have my name on it, because I post with my real name here, and also the lady at the local UPS office refuses to let me put anything but my own name on the shipping. She asks to see ID and takes your name from that.

A gift arrived for me from my Secret Santa and I am dutifully not opening it YET

My plan was to send it out today, but the stuff didn't arrive on Saturday to allow me to transmogrify it. Hopefully the stuff will be there today, I will be able to do the transmogrification tonight, then I can ship tomorrow.

That's if the transmogrification works.

Got a package today from a secret Santa. I wasn't sure if this was from my BF SS or my BGG SS (whose package I can open immediately) but the 'Secret Santa likes this!' at the bottom of the label lead me to assume it was from my BF Secret Santa. And the card inside confirmed it to be true! So thank you, Santa! Look forward to opening this bounty of goodness!

No hand-wrapping of gifts?

I have no idea what you mean ninja edit wa-TAAAAAAAAAAH by that.

Sometimes when I try to hand-wrap a gift, the gift does not itself survive the experience. Best to leave these things to professionals. Or robots. Professional robots would be best, but let's not go crazy here.

Transmogrification has run into some problems. Must go to bed. More research needed.

I did not wrap and the place I bought my gifts from didn't offer a wrapping service so I too will don the cone of shame. But postage savings let me get an additional gift instead so I hope my santee will see fit to forgive my transgression.

I wrapped my gift in festive bubble wrap. That counts.

Same. The shipping (to me, then to my Santee in the US) probably would have been half the total cost otherwise.

As anyone who's ever received a gift from me before can attest, my skills at present-wrapping are... unconventional at best.

I still assert that duck tape is a perfectly valid material to conceal the contents of a gift.

Our Santee's presents have been sent! They were actually sent several days ago. SwitchKnitter may have already told you this. Wait, I just asked, and he hasn't. Man, really fallin' down on the job there, SwitchKnitter! What the hell!
