Broken Forum Secret Santa 2012!

I got another, second surprise package from (again, allegedly) my secret Santa. Perhaps a new one will arrive every day from now until Christmas!

Might want to at least unbox the drummers.

I couldn't get my box to fedex today. Ground shipping doesn't pick up until Monday, so I'm debating about 2-daying it tomorrow. Decisions.

Not until he unpacks and assembles the fulfillment. They can't easily ship those already built, you know.

Fulfillment requires at least an Allen Wrench and 3 screws, two of which are included (Allen Wrench does not fit screws).

Shipped it priority today. They said it would get there Monday. Hopefully Tuesday at the latest. So happy to have it sent off!!! Merry Christmas Secret Santee!

Grrr, snafus. Mine are sent, but certain issues arose that caused the alteration of plans. If the new stuff does not show up on time, my Santee can whip me. meeeeowwww!

Santa has it all boxed up, but in the process of packing got all dizzy and light-headed and had to go lay down for a bit.

Fortunately, there are holiday hours at the UPS Store, so Santa can still get it out this weekend! With a bonus item tossed in for the Santee's inconvenience.

People still have 2 days to get your gifts to you. Don't start panicking until the deadline has come at least.

No mail on Sundays here, therefore I will not have it on the first opening day, therefore MAILBOX GUY.

23 hours to go until OPENING.

So I went into the apartment office today to pick up a couple of parcels. The girl handed them to me, smiled, and said, "Wow, from Norway huh??"

Feeling like a combination of James Bond and Jason Bourne, I whispered, "Shhh . . . secret international business". And received a confused blank stare in response.

I've probably been flagged in their system now, but WooHoo - can't wait until the opening!

In another thread someone from Norway showed off his newly trimmed beard.
I think Greedo is getting epic Norwegian beard clippings...

At work, we count weeks Sunday to Saturday, so we can start opening stuff on Sunday, right? Asking because:

a) given the size/shape/heft of the gift, and where it was shipped from, mine is booze, and

b) our new dog just broke our new house -- I put a skyline between a tree and one of the support posts under the deck to give her a way to run around the yard safely; near as I can tell, she wrapped the lead around the base of one of other posts and pulled the entire goddamn thing out.

While a) won't directly help with b), it sure would help me not care about it for the rest of the night. So, unless Matt tells me I'm not allowed, I'm busting that sucker open at 12:01am :)

If he does, I suggest an army of Thoro clones. Beard Army, ahoy!

What kind of working dog did you get btw?

Dunno if she's a working dog per se, but she's a seven month old retriever/pinscher mix (or at least, that's the best guess) from the pound. She's a great dog, but she's also the last puppy I'm ever going to adopt, 'cause holy ball of energy.

Next time out (hopefully not for 15 years or so, of course), gonna go 2-3 years old and already housebroken :)

Sorry to disappoint, but not only am I not in the Secret Santa system, I always dispose of my beard clippings in a safe and untraceable manner.

Anyway, Santa finally did get his act together and the package sent out, despite icy roads and a splitting headache.

Maybe it's because he was wearing one of his Rush concert tees, but the shipping charges came to $21.12...

Man, I totally sucked in my debut as Secret Santa. Didn't send a card and didn't wrap it in a cool way either. To get over my self-disdain I shall commence with opening my package when I wake up tomo... later today! Pictures guaranteed!

I got my gifts already, but I'm not gonna open them until I have a delivery date for my santee's stuff. It's only fair.

My stuff has not arrived yet, but I've been given reason to believe that my secret santa, whoever they may be, are totally awesome, for reasons. So whoever you are, assuming you're reading this thread, you're totally awesome and I absolutely do not mind waiting at all.
