Thanks everyone for all the turns yesterday in No Fighting in the war room. That was awesome.

The Austrian advance has met a solid grey wall. With Tusks. We've devised a new unit that is particularly well suited to this kind of wall, and they're marching to the Elephant Grave-Hipposomethingortheother border to assist the Edelweiss warriors and the bowmen who came very close to being wiped out. Our other neighbor is looking to poke holes in the soft Austrian underbelly, but I think he's going to have his hands full for now.

And I really hate the Great General bug (+0%). I think it won't matter right now, but it's going to be very annoying, and I'm betting it won't get fixed. I guess I might as well just lay a citadel over in some city state with it instead, especially since I need the happiness.

So the client claims it's my turn, but if I replay it, it won't send it off - but I can't download of the GMR site, because there's it's flagged as waiting for Mr. Popov. So can someone check if I've sent it of or if we need a revert?

I can't check the integrity of the file, but if it shows up as Popov on GMR, as it does for me, it should be ok. If Mr.Popov says it's bad though then we'll revert. I suppose we could have a pre-emptive revert to avoid any possible problems, but that seems a bit excessive. Try restarting your client?

This has happened to image a few times in FFoF. GMR's aware of the bug and is still trying to squash it. In the meantime, you'll need to revert the turn back once to Hanzii.

Yes, I reverted the turn yesterday to Hanzii. I guess he may not have noticed since his client already said it was his turn, but it really is his turn.

Nope, didn't see that... since nothing changed on my end.

Unfortunately, my wife just unexpectedly got VIP-passes for Tivoli (world's oldest amusement park), so I'll be home late today to take my turn.

With that news, our BBQ game will give it another go, signup is through the 21st of november, game will start then,still looking for one more (maybe two if aaron doesn't confirm the time works for him).

BBQ session is tentatively the 1st/2nd of December at 2PM.

And was your Worker inside or outside your borders at the time it was kidnapped?

Damn your Immortals, MrPopov! The fighting is heating up around Tarsis (I think that's what it's called). A natural wonder lurks in the mountains nearby, and we Mongols covet its treasures. It's also too damn close to my borders.

On a side note, how do you make money in this game?

My GMR client is saying I don't have any games. I logged into the website, and it also says 0 out of 2 games.

Submitted my turn in the new game, and then tried this - got "an error processing turn" and then the same - it switches between zero games and telling me it's my turn in the "No Fighting..."-game.

TurnId: 136189 if the game starter feels like contacting GMR.

So it looks like they're down, if I have to revert Hanz's turn in No Fighting I will, but the client is showing it as still his turn for me. Resubmit once the GMR server is not on the fritz.

Looks like this is fixed now, let me know if there are any other problems, Hanzii resubmit your turn for No Fighting.

BBQ is scheduled for 2PM EST, Sunday, December 2nd. I only point this out publicly in case anyone else in other GMR games is around then too. Since many of the players in this BBQ are in a lot of other GMR games, I'd imagine it would be a good time to get your turns in as well.

My wife and daughter are out of town this weekend leaving me home alone so that is perfect for me, though I am in only one GMR game (No Fighting in the War Room).

Awesome, if Schemmp is around then there's the possibility of a double-smoked BBQ.

In about 3 hours we got 9.6 turns done. I thought it got better once we got into the flow of it, but definitely a slow paced game. I'm glad we had the other BBQ games up, even if one of them (no fighting) caused a bit of a delay at times. I never knew which game I was loading in terms of game position and what was going on for my civ until it finished loading, and even then it took a little bit of concentration to figure out what I was trying to do.. Still, we got through another 2 turns in No fighting, and 4 more in the Frontier.

And I've changed my mind, my new favorite ruin for multiplayer games is definitely the military upgrade.

I dunno, man. Culture ruins in the first dozen turns are amazing, as are science ruins.

I'm going to be slow to respond for a bit, I have a couple of presentations, huge reports, and exams in the next 2 weeks or so.

I will put it on vacation mode actually, it's going to be about 11-12 days until I'm free and clear, and after I'm done I'm heading to Quebec City for a weekend anyways. I don't want to hold the game up for that long.
