Civ 5 G+K GMR Game "There's no fighting in the war room"

That's excellent information! I would have been not doing that tonight, but now I will be doing that and smiling.

I can't even load the B&K game without Civ crashing, old and new PC. I also downloaded the file directly from GMR and tried that.

@Mr. Popov, have you just been recruiting units all damn game? I mean, that's what, 20, 30 units coming at me right now?

You have a wounded warrior guarding a settler that is heading straight for where I want to build my second city. I have two warriors and an archer. We're so close that war was most likely inevitable, especially with you trying to expand in my direction.

Hmmm...did you move all the ones from Kathmandu in the other direction? I can't see Kathmandu any more and assumed that those units were moving south, but I suppose they're all at Tarsus now. What then, 12-15 units? That's a much more reasonable number...maybe I still have a shot at holding you off from my capital...

So, how are you not a bully that declares war before talking? With my position, of course I would rather settle on the desert to the west than lose my settler. You're picking on a country that is already in a war and down a worker, and you did so with no warning. Let this serve as a lesson to everyone else.

No Fighting: My capital is taken. If I'm not out completely next turn, I'm going to pop it on AI. I've got nothing left to fight with besides a nearly dead pikeman. Nice fight, MrPopov . Definitely got revenge for me taking your city earlier.

No Fighting. It says my turn, but when I load the turn it is prompting for Nate.

I tried downloading the save manually, same thing happened.

Something with the turn order got messed up, Nate usually comes after you, not before you...

Must be me hitting the AI button that made it look funny.

Hey, you lasted nearly twice as long this game as in Multiple Turns, you can hit that AI button with pride. Sad to see you out when things were starting to heat up, you're the one Civ I haven't met in this game. Score and demographics wise, it looks like the Persians expanded faster than you and could absorb your attack and counter harder. Look forward to someday, maybe this year if we're lucky, watching the replay.

reverted to Hanzii, game has bumped up from 2708kb to 3165, no longer loads in directx 10 for me, only in directx 9.

I am on Hiatus while the wife has the laptop in the maternity ward. I know Deadbuffalo would prefer I go on Vacation Mode, but I do not wish to do so at this time.

The wife should be discharged on Sunday, and everyone is healthy.

Oh, my mistake, my archers must have tripped while on your road that was outside of your territory. You really should pave that smoother next time.

One of the first multiplayer game of civ I played, Civ 3, another player pillaged a road that wasn't in my culture and I thought it was just as lame.

Ahhh. And now the road is in my territory; hence my confusion. A shame that all of the other players in the game appear to be incommunicado; maybe they don't want to trade with me for fear of angering the dreaded deadbuffalo. :)

Ah well. Let's see if I can get my troops redeployed in time to murder all of your troops.

g&k game

The evil Hanzii of the Americans is still trying to conquer my remaining towns, while I strive valiantly to reclaim at least one of them back and continue to defend what I have left. With a little assistance the Celts can still turn this around. We are a peace loving nation, The Americans instigated this war even after we backed off settling near them at their request. They can not be trusted! Once I am gone they will be coming for you!

No no no. After claiming two cities to staunch the continued spread of your evil heathen religion, we offered the Celts peace, but they have refused and continues crossing our borders and breaking our shit - we're merely defending our lands at this time, since this long and tiresome war has cost us dearly.

I don't think you'll find help. The Russians tried to take advantage of our Celtic troubles by sneaking their troops into our allied City-State's territory (if you can call spending 10´+ turns massing your troops sneaking) and attacking. They paid the price and slunk home, and the other nation - I forgot their name - is so far away and incommunicado, that I would be surprised if they even know there is another continent.

Perhaps the Celts should just ask to be part of the greater American Empire - we can let you keep your local government and call the area for Northern Celtland and just keep a few troops to police the streets...

The Russians are licking their wounds and trying to research up to something that can take on the Americans. But as always, the Americans are a little bit ahead of us. image, you interested in joining in a 3 on 1 vs. the leader? Hanzii is starting to run away with this one.

I'd be willing to open the borders of Russia to you if you want to march through. I can also help clear the seas for a naval invasion. Well, soon enough, anyway. Our fleet is building now.

And why would anybody want to hand the victory to the Russians (or perhaps even the Celts)? It's not like Image, who I have no beef with, would be likely to take and keep my territory with a whole nation between that and his own.

The Celts are a peaceful nation who only wish to hold onto what they once had. They have never attacked a city that wasn't ours to begin with! Although, when it comes to the Americans, that is going to change in the future!

I do realize our religion is spreading. I would feel badly about this if I didn't think it would help the heathen nations of the world, I'm looking at you... Americans, see that peace leads to prosperity for all. Through Gunnism the future of humanity is bright!
