So I recently got elected to the board of my co-op. One thing we're going to be considering in the upcoming year is whether to convert our oil boiler to a natural gas one. I've been put on research duty for this, and I haven't the faintest idea where to start. Any suggestions on what sort of info I need to be gathering?

Do you have an underground oil tank?

Nope, aboveground. The pipe leading from the tank to the boiler is under the concrete floor, but very shallow.

That's good! The extent of my knowledge of such things is that you'll have to deal with the oil tank; which is a GIANT PAIN if it is below ground.

You should be gathering... info. Lots and lots of uhh... info.
