I guess the majority of Zen's posts were made in the former incarnation of Lum's forum, which had no likes - iirc he closed it, but when he reopened it after Chickgate the old posters got to keep their handles and counts. I just assumed that he was able to look at posters' IP addresses, or something like that.

Turns out he had no clue either. He was just more forceful in his wild guesses than I would be.

Yeah, he was able to look at IPs. And if you used a common IP, like a popular proxy or were surfing from a mobile device, you'd be accused of the stuff that everyone else from that IP range had done.
