Hey y'all, I couldn't find a thread for this, so I thought I'd make one. I saw Indie Games Magazine mention a little game called Dead Pixels arriving on Steam. Now it's a zombie game, which I'm not a huge fan of, but the words "randomly generated levels" always make me weak, and it was $3. I figured since I'm sick as a dog and wanted something really simple to play, I'd give it a shot.

WOW is this a fun game. You're playing a random person trying to escape a city under a zombie invasion quarantine, and you have a certain amount of streets to traverse before you get there. The streets are generated with zombies, buildings you can loot and merchants to buy and sell stuff like valuables and ammo from. It's pretty fast-paced, violent and exciting, as you never feel you have enough ammo but are always trying to hoarde whatever you find so you can sell it at the next merchant you see for more. You can also use cash to upgrade your skills like strength, speed and so on.

I figured since I had such a fun time with it, I'd mention it to y'all. Enjoy! :)

I'm not seeing spaceships in the screenshots. Does it take place on a giant spaceship? When do you get to fly it around?

    Are the zombies flying spaceships?

Hahaha, no silly, I like nearly every type of game except sports. Spacey games are just my first, biggest and best love. :)

Played through the first mode and the survival one. Game has a charm to it, reminds me almost of river city ransom meets left 4 dead with how you can upgrade your character. Man though, I wish that they had more multiplayer options besides local co-op as this could be a blast with several people.

Yeah, I might actually dip my toe into multiplayer for that.
