Tooya rolls along the ground so that only his shoulder is stabbed, but he still grimaces from the pain as he rises to his feet.



Olli actually seems kind of impressed. Even Tooya thinks that though Olli is jeering at him, somehow he looks a bit happy, too. Olli says that from the moment they clashed, he thought that his younger sister had been tempted by a man "with rotten eyes". However, he says he'll have to reconsider--Tooya's eyes are not bad. Between gasps for breath, Tooya manages to hiss, "You knew......!"

When two kings are fighting, it's disrespectful for other warriors to lend a hand, so a circle of space has been made around them.

A quiet anger exudes from Olli's body as he points his sword at Tooya.

Olli: "How long do you think I've known my younger sister? As soon as I saw that handwriting, I knew it was really hers."
Tooya: "Then why......!"
Olli: "Why? You're asking me why......? Hah......"



Olli: "If the bride you loved were taken from you, would you be able to stay calm!?"
Tooya: "Nngh......"
Olli: "On top of that, the man I've crossed swords with is a coward."



Tooya: "Ha, certainly I am a coward. I was a coward!"

It's kind of hard to translate this into English well and keep the grammar right. D: Well, you get the idea.

Olli: "How did you tempt that stubborn younger sister of mine?"
Tooya: "I didn't tempt her."
Olli: "Hmph, I wonder. Surely my poor younger sister naively believed some sweet words you said and was tricked. If I bring her back, it'll open her eyes."
Tooya: "......I'm sorry, but only that I can't allow."
Olli: "What?"
Tooya: "No matter how much I apologize, our feelings have been set in place..... Your younger sister and I love each other. Even if you bring her back, she won't be yours. No, she won't belong to anyone."

...I just now realized this, but TOOYA IS TOTALLY WEARING THE WRONG CLOTHES IN THIS CG LMFAO HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE IN HIS FIGHTING GEAR, THAT NICE BLACK OUTFIT. PFFFFFT anyway.

Being prepared to be cut down, Naala rushes between the two of them. She spreads her arms out as wide as she can and shields Tooya behind her.

Olli: "Naala!?"

Olli stops at the last moment and the point of his sword just barely touches her forehead. Olli draws his sword back, his eyes wide with astonishment.

YEAH DEFINITELY POCAHONTAS.

Tooya: "You... How did you......"
Naala: "Stop, Olli. Don't kill my husband."
Olli: "You are being tricked by that person! You're just confused because you were kidnapped......"
Naala: "No, I'm not being tricked and I'm not confused. I love Tooya. If you kill Tooya, it will be the same as killing my soul."

Naala looks Olli straight in the eye and gently puts her fingers on the blade. The point of the sword wavers slightly--surely Olli is very affected by all of this.

Olli: "Nngh, move! If you do not retreat, you will also be cut down as a traitor!"
Tooya: "Ugh......Naala, stop!"



Naala: "I will not stop."

.........Naala looks even more awkward in this variation of the CG, errr...............

Naala gasps as she clenches her eyes shut, but no matter how long she waits, she never feels the impact of the arrows. Finally she timidly opens her eyes and......

An arrow has pierced Tooya's arm and more blood flows from it. Naala cries out his name many times. Even though she wanted to protect him, he has protected her once again. She hugs Tooya's body and sobs over him as he groans in pain. The Luce soldiers surrounding them seem to be confused by Tooya and Naala's behavior.

Olli: "Why......"



Tooya: "Ha, why, you ask...... Does one need a reason to protect the queen that he loves?"
Tooya: "King of Luce. If you want to kill me, you have only to do so. However, please don't use the bows and arrows. My queen will be wounded!"

Sarana: "If you're going to kill her as a traitor, please kill me, as well."
Sharu: "I feel the same way."

The rest of the women take their places, forming a wall between Olli and Tooya. Olli stares at them, shell-shocked. The women all cry out, "Please!" "We still need the king of Nasura!" "Please, Your Highness! Don't kill Tooya-sama!"



Tooya: "Everyone......"
Olli: "............"

Though it's quiet, the flames of war haven't died down yet.

Olli: "......what detestable luck you have, Nasura King Tooya."

Olli finally mutters this. Finally, he pulls at his horse's reins and begins to leave in the opposite direction.

--wait, was Olli on a horse this whole time?? When did he get on a horse???????

Naala: "Olli......?"

She stares in blank surprise, but as the horse canters away, Olli only raises one arm.

Olli: "Withdraw! We're returning to Luce!"
Naala: "!"

Some soldier says that if they do this, the western continent won't stay silent. Olli then basically says that Tooya will pay recompense since he's probably got tons of gold.



Olli: "Isn't that right, Nasura King?"
Tooya: "......I'm in your debt."

Some soldiers still try to argue, but Olli points to the other side and says that even the western continent's army is retreating. The soldier is flabbergasted.

Olli: "As expected of that rumored, infamous sly fox. Surely by now he's sipping tea in the western continent right now."
Naala: (!? Could it be Noll......)

L M F A O. I DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT THIS MENTAL PICTURE MAKES ME LAUGH REALLY HARD. HE PROBABLY IS OVER THERE CALMLY SIPPING TEA, THAT SMUG BASTARD. But hey that's why he hadn't been around lately!

Naala can't even imagine how he managed to sneak into that enemy country all alone and make negotiations.

Olli reiterates that he already knows they can't win at this rate, so they're returning home. He stops one last time and says to Tooya that this is a "loan". Tooya says he'll engrave it on his chest alongside all the other cuts Olli gave him. (that is kind of morbidly funny)

Olli asks Sharu what she intends to do. Sharu says she'll remain in Nasura for a little while until all the other women can return home. Olli says he understands. Naala is surprised, but Sharu assures her that she wants to wait--after all, Tooya already promised that she'd be returned home with everyone else. Until that promise is kept, she wants to observe that injured king.



Naala: "Is it really all right?"
Sharu: "It's fine. This is not for your sake, but completely for mine."



Sharu: "Ah, I'll just say this, but this isn't because I want to be with you forever. Don't misunderstand, all right?"
Naala: "Haha, even so, I'll be happy to be together."
Sharu: "Hmph!"

Sharu has changed from a psycho to a tsundere.

Olli: "......Naala."
Naala: "! Yes......"
Olli: "............"
Naala: "......?"
Olli: "......when you have a baby, come and show it to me. If it suits you, it'd be all right for her to be my bride."

Tooya pulls her to him and embraces her tightly. The two of them sink to the ground with the evening sun as their backdrop, and she feels that all of her grief and sadness is draining away......

Jesus Olli, don't be completely creepy or anything. I'm very glad he doesn't have a route.

Sharu on the other hand would probably calm down considerably if she had a route. I'm all for it.

Sharu's just angry and yandere because she doesn't have a proper Bad End to channel it all into.

Tooya is commenting on the crowd of people who have gathered. Naala says that this is a rare opportunity, so naturally many people have gathered together. A year before, Tooya and the women completed the medicine. And now, a year after that, the alliance with Luce has been made official. The people who are gathered in the flower garden now are those who are celebrating peace.

......at least, that's what it says on paper. Naala thinks that it's more like a massive matchmaking session. It's a gathering of people from two countries, both men and women, and there's a joyous excitement in the air.

Naala: "Ah, come to think of it, Olli came a little while ago----"
Tooya: "Ah, my old wound hurts!"
Naala: "Eh, where? If it's too much, you should rest......"
Tooya: "Wha~t. My chest is only aching because my queen is looking at other men."

TOOYA.



Naala: "......if you can make that kind of joke, then you're just fine."
Tooya: "I'm very serious, though. Unlike Lord Olli who can protect everyone, don't I look bad? It'd be impossible for me not to be jealous."

Yeah, he's grinning while he says this, though.

Naala laughs and says it's fine because Naala likes "bad" Tooya just the way he is.

Naala: "Really?"

Naala jokes that he seems spineless. Tooya says that's not quite right. Naala asks why. Tooya laughs and since they're connected, she can feel the vibration of his laughter through her own body. Tooya answers that he's already melted down to his bone marrow. Naala wonders if Tooya knows just how melted she feels around him... But she figures he won't believe it even if she tries to tell him.

Naala: (Well, you could say that if we stay together until death, it'll prove it?)

Tooya: "Ah, that's right. I've been thinking about naming this flower. Even though it's the flower of salvation, for it to be called the nameless flower is pitiable, isn't it?"
Tooya: "That's why, starting from today, for a fresh start, we'll try giving it a new name."
Naala: "Ooh, what name?"



Tooya: "......Bayaru?"

A bright red flower. Loose petals calmly dance in the wind and form a bridge--a bridge of hope.

Okay okay uh before I start on Suren's route, the very last route for this LP, I want to say something really quick... Kind of a warning, I suppose.

Suren's route starts off the rockiest out of the three main routes. You can probably imagine that much, given what it was like when he and Naala met for the first time. I'm not saying Suren is a horrible person--he has his reasons. Nor is he a ~terribly misunderstood~ nice guy. Suren's certainly not as nice as Tooya (on the surface) and not as mild as Noll, either.

ALL THAT SAID, his route is my favorite for a reason. You were all kind of iffy about Noll at first, right? BUT HE TURNED OUT ALL RIGHT. So I ask that you trust in me and stay with this LP since you're already here. I promise I won't lead you astray. ;_;

I just hope I'm not hyping him up too much orz;;;; I just don't want to scare any of you off. You guys have been a wonderful audience over the last couple of weeks that I've been LPing this game and I've been really happy to share Koezaru with all of you. So let's make this last route a lot of fun and have interesting discussions, too! /o/

Tooya is a Gasai Yuno-tier yandere and deserves a happy ending. He is mandere done right.

...So it's finally Suren the Tsundere(or so I've heard)'s showtime //grin

Alright, here we are once again. If you need a refresher on the beginning of the story, the first page and a half of this thread should get you up to speed. Anyway, we're in the marketplace and Naala's attention is caught by something. This time, we'll see what's up with that child.

There is a boy standing in the streets crying. He seems to be about seven years old and he's covering his face with both of his small hands, tears flooding as he cries for his mother.

Naala: (I wonder if he's a lost child?)

She thinks the child might be kidnapped if he's left in a place like this. Because the number of women has decreased, there are some perverts who think that even boys are all right. :/ That's... Wow. Anyway, Naala says that if they wait a bit, surely his parents will come to find him and it might be suspicious for his parents to see him talking with a stranger. So Naala pretends to look at the surrounding stalls as she observes the boy for a while, but his parents don't come.

There's a choice here between call out to him or "even this boy is a man of Nasura". ERRR yeah let's not go with that second choice, geez.

As someone who was kidnapped, she can't leave this child alone. Even if she ignores him, surely she'll continue worrying about it, Naala thinks. Naala decides that children aren't guilty of the adults' sins. Finally, she walks up to the boy.

Naala: "Little boy, have you been separated from your mother?"
Boy: "......yes."

The boy looks up at her a little warily. His large round eyes are wet with tears, stirring up Naala's protective instincts.

Naala: "Do you not know the location of your house?"
Boy: "I don't know......"
Naala: "Then, do you know which direction you came from?"

The boy says yes and he points towards a footpath that branches from the main street. The road is narrow and is shaded by the surrounding buildings, so she can't help but get a gloomy, dismal impression of the path. However, Naala decides she can't just leave the boy alone. After a few moments' hesitation, she resolves to escort him quickly and that should be safe.

Naala: "I'll go with you, so let's look for your mother."
Boy: "Really!? Thank you, big sister!"

When she sees him smile, Naala feels that she made the right decision. The boy, seeming totally rejuvenated now, tugs at her hand and begins to walk.

???: "......hey."

Suddenly there's an unexpected low, heavy voice. It has such an overpowering feeling that the two of them are nearly forced to the ground. A cold sweat begins to form on Naala's skin as she turns around, feeling awkward.



Suren: "Are you planning some violence against this Suren-sama's bride?"

For some reason, the man who's appeared is the man Naala dislikes the most--the military commander, Suren. His amethyst-colored eyes are sullenly narrowed and he's giving off an overwhelming feeling. Naala feels that he's showing no mercy at all even towards a young partner. The boy, seeing Suren, trembles and stands rooted to the spot.

Naala: "H-hey, you! What are you saying to such a small child?"

Seeing Naala try to protect the boy, Suren snorts. Naala gets the impression that he's taking her for a fool.

Suren: "You really are too softhearted. That children are pure is just an idealistic thought."
Naala: "What are you saying----"

Naala's interrupted by the sound of someone clicking their tongue in annoyance. She looks down and sees that the boy's face is distorted with hatred and looks like an ugly demon.

Naala: (Eh......)

Before she can say anything, the boy runs off without a word. Naala continues staring at his retreating back in shock.



Suren: "Good for you, huh?"
Naala: "Wh-what for?"

As Naala looks up at him, she is reminded of the difference in their sizes. She regrets that she can't beat him down. ...and then she remembers their first meeting. Her power and physique can't match Suren's. She already knows that well and it makes her burn with resentment.

Naala: "That child was frightened because you threatened him."




Suren: "Stuuuupid. If you had followed him, you would have become the meat ***** of some noblemen by now."

The game actually censors what he says and bleeps it out. I streamed this scene a little while ago for some of you and so yeah................ WHATEVER HE SAID, IT WAS BAD. You can probably imagine, though, based on the context. |D

Naala: "Meat......!?"

Naala frowns and flushes bright red, hearing such vulgar words. Seeing her reaction, Suren grins broadly. Mortified that she reacted so honestly, Naala looks away from him.

Naala: "You really are a vulgar man, aren't you?"
Suren: "But you understand that I did you a favor, right?"
Suren: "To the ore-sama who helped you and gave you an eaaaaasy to understand explanation, it's all right to express your gratitude, you know?"



Naala: "......"

There's a choice here between "......thank you" and "There's no way I can do that, right?" Naturally, we're going with the first one. Well, I feel like that's closer to Naala's real personality, anyway. I mean, she even thanked Noll before, right?

While blushing furiously, Naala mutters a thank you. Suren is completely taken aback. Despite the fact that he himself told her to "express her gratitude", now that she's done so, he just stares at her as if she's done something really strange, Naala thinks.

Naala: "What, you told me to express my gratitude, didn't you?"



Suren: "......you're awfully honest today, aren't you?"
Naala: "The fact that I hate you hasn't changed, but it's true that you helped me."
Naala: "Even if the situation is unreasonable, it's necessary for me to give thanks where thanks are due."
Naala: "After all, I don't want to be a mea...... I don't want men to do as they please to me."
Suren: "He~h, did you finally think about becoming my bride?"
Naala: "......how on earth did you reach that conclusion?"

He's so persistent about it that she can't help but laugh.

Naala: "In the first place, are you sure that boy was really not a lost child?"
Suren: "Yeah. That kid accepts money from nobles to lure women away."
Suren: "After taking them to a remote place, some stronger thugs take over...... It's just a job for some pocket money."
Suren: "The women who are caught are sold for a higher price to some sex-starved assholes."
Naala: "Why doesn't the law do anything?"
Suren: "No matter what we did, no clues would come to light."
Suren: "It's a capital crime if it's exposed, but it seems there are some willing to walk across a tightrope."



Suren: "And so, we military personnel have been dispatched to watch out for such idiots as that."
Naala: "So.....you're working?"
Suren: "It's obvious, isn't it? If it wasn't for the king's orders, who would work so hard without any breaks?"

While saying so, Suren rubs his own shoulder a bit. As his skin is pulled and twisted, the tattoo on his brown skin is distorted, as well. She wonders if he hasn't taken a break since the fighting before, so perhaps he's considerably tired? Naala had thought that Suren, being the commander, was the type who just ordered his subordinates around, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. Even if he is the commander, it looks like he's not the type to just sit around.

Naala: "Then why didn't you capture that child?"
Suren: "Even if we catch that kid, he won't reveal the name of that noble."
Suren: "If they were so easily traced, we wouldn't have to work so hard."
Naala: "......"
Suren: "Anyway, what are you up to?"
Naala: "......just passing time."
Suren: "Hmm......"
Naala: "Wh-what?"

Suren draws closer. Alarmed, Naala draws back a half-step. Even though she's exuding wariness from every pore, Suren doesn't seem to care at all.

Suren: "Did you come out to buy something?"
Naala: "You could say that."

She wants to look away, but she doesn't want to admit defeat or show shame, so she continues looking him right in the eye.

Suren: "So? Did you buy some good information?"
Naala: "......!"
Suren: "Well, from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like you got anything too good."
Naala: "......"

Naala closes her mouth before she says something malicious. She thinks Suren knew of her purpose from the start and just wanted to see her reaction. Seeing his grin, it's obvious that he's teasing.

Naala: "You, above being vulgar and barbaric, you have a bad personality, too."
Suren: "That sort of man will become your husband."
Naala: "......how good of you to be so naive."

Naala thinks that if she talks to him any more, she really will want to punch him. Given their difference in size/strength, that would not end well, she thinks, so for the time being she should just run away. She holds back her anger and turns her back to Suren.



Suren: "Wait up. We were finally able to meet after a while, so come back and let's look around."

Suren grasps her arm and Naala almost slaps him in the face by instinct. She swallows bitterly and tries to restrain herself.

Naala: "I don't have time to play with you. Besides, you're working, aren't you?"
Suren: "Right now I'm on break. In other words, when I helped you, I was working overtime."
Naala: "And so you think I should accept your invitation?"
Suren: "Am I wrong?"
Naala: "......"

To begin with, Naala, thinks, there's no reason for her to accept the invitation of an enemy who kidnapped her. But even if she wants to say so, he really did help her, so it's weak of her to think that. Returning kindness with rudeness is contrary to her personal code. However, Naala thinks, her partner is Suren. She thinks that if the two of them are left alone, her fate might be worse than just becoming a slave.

COME ON, it's not like he'd break the law. :C

Just as she's thinking of what to do--

???: "Aniki--!"

"Aniki" is a very casual term for "older brother", but sometimes guys will call other guys that they look up to "aniki", so it doesn't necessarily mean that they're really brothers. It's kind of just a term of endearment.

Anyway, from behind Suren, Naala can hear nimble footsteps and someone crying his name. When the other person notices her existence, he blinks his eyes and stops.



Naala wonders if he's surprised by her blonde hair. The boy just stares at her, totally shocked. However, though he is staring at her in a manner that could be perceived as rude, Naala mysteriously doesn't feel unpleasant.

Suren: "Naran. This person is my bride."
Naran: "! Ah, o-oh, I see. Then I should also greet her."

Before Naala can ask who he is, Suren turns on his heel and starts walking away. Apparently he's changed his mind. Feeling relief at having been saved, Naala lets out a sigh. The boy called Naran quickly drops his hand that he was trying to hold out to her (I guess to shake hands?? I dunno) and runs after Suren in a panic.



Naran: "Hey, wait, Aniki! If this is Aniki's fiancee, then she's my older sister, too, right? Shouldn't I greet her......"
Suren: "Eventually she'll come to the house, so you can do it then, right? Let's go."
Naala: (Younger brother? But they don't seem to resemble each other......)

Naala stares at their two retreating backs as she compares them. Suren then suddenly turns around, grinning from ear to ear.

Suren: "See you later, my honorable bride. ......I'll be looking forward to our wedding night."

Instead of answering, Naala just glares at him until he turns away.

Naala: (Who would choose such an awful man?)

FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK THAT.........................

Anyway, Naala thinks that even if all other men on earth vanished, she still wouldn't want to marry him. LOL........... As she swears that over and over again in her heart, she walks away in the opposite direction.

aaaaaaaaaaaand now I can finally sleep in peace.

Suren's route was, for me, the best route of this game and a great way to end the LP! Like Chamomile said - it starts off pretty rough, but stick with it everyone because it gets better. This route got me right in the kokoro, and if you like 'em feels then prepare yourself for a tsunami of them.

I know I'm looking forward to it.

... I can't unsee the Pocahontas parallels now that you've brought them up. |D; Is this where 'Savages' starts up?

Also, Olli's creepy yandere line sounds horribly familiar, somehow. Horribly familiar.

It reminded me of when Jacob fell in love with Bella's baby in Twilight. But then, wouldn't that make Tooya Edward? o_o

I read the whole 'eat it out' comments and actually my first thought was cannibalism, perverts >.>

OKAY SO I MEANT TO START THIS EARLIER but my computer died and I had to reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows and all that fun stuff. :| Luckily I quite literally only use Windows to play VNs, so it wasn't too bad, but it did take a couple of hours to get everything going again, so sorry about that.

Anyway, Suren's route is a bit different from the other two...

After the scene with the child from my post above, these two are the same:

• Scene with yandere Sharu calling Haru a slut
• Scene with Sharu schmoozing with some dude

However, Suren's route differs from here. A few parts are the same so I'll just lightly summarize those parts, but my next post will move on from the two scenes above.

A man is waiting underneath a night sky full of stars. However, he is neither caught up in looking at the beautiful starry sky, nor is he immersed in deep reverie. He is only observing the current flow of time and waiting.

Man: "......they're on the move."



Suren: "He~h, it was earlier than I expected."

He responds cheerfully as if amused by something. After sheathing his blade, which he'd been playing around with, he turns around.

Suren: "Good job, you can go and rest now."

The man acknowledges this and leaves.



Naran: "Huh, Aniki? Are you going out?"
Suren: "Yeah. It's the time I've been waiting for......"
Suren: "----it's time for a 'hunt'."

And then the scene fades.

Uhhh okay so actually I think I'll just copy-paste my old text for the parts that are the same because it's easier than picking and choosing portions of the old scene to direct you guys to. Plus I was taking caps with that crappy program back then, so this way you can see everything a bit better, I dunno. So anyway.



Naala wakes up from restless sleep and hears the sounds of various beasts howling outside. She has a really bad feeling... Her eyes immediately travel to Sharu's bed because she knows that Sharu's even more sensitive to noise and is probably also disturbed by the howling. She is shocked to find Sharu's bed empty and wakes Sarana up. They both freak out over Sharu's disappearance. Sarana goes to look in the bathrooms and Naala decides to search the dining room and kitchen before checking the surrounding areas.



That bad feeling Naala had just grows when she and Sarana can't find Sharu anywhere. Naala rushes out into town to look for her friend. Her doubts begin to return--could someone as stubborn as Sharu suddenly change her mind so easily? She blames herself (literally says "I wish I could punch my past self in the face") for not being more assertive and only hopes that Sharu hasn't done anything stupid.

She keeps running and running... When at last she reaches the walls of the first district. She hears a clamor...



Her body stiffens as she realizes what's going on. Naala runs towards the noise as quickly as she can, a cold sweat beginning to form on her skin. Once she gets there, she sees Sharu surrounded by a group of men. She's pressed to the ground in total violation of Nasura law.

Naala: "Stop------!"

She rushes at the crowd and tries to get to Sharu, but they restrain her and push her aside so that she can't even touch Sharu.



Sharu: "Naala......"
Naala: "Sharu! What's......!?"

Naala's breath is caught in her throat as a certain person's appearance catches her eye. Her eyes catch on a large, tanned hand that's holding Sharu down, a tattoo that's half-hidden by clothing... Her eyes trail upward to that sly, cunning smile and she freezes, feeling a deep sense of foreboding.



Naala: "......what on earth are you doing?"
