Because I was quite surprise in the LP forum, I haven't seen someone do a LP of it. I wouldn't mind trying buuuuuuuuut then I realize the reason why it can't be LPed is because I don't think a lot of people own a 3DO anymore. Aaaaaanyway, where the hell did I even find out such game? More importantly, what the hell is this game I'm talking about? Here's the Wikipedia version for dem lazy people. And here's AVGN's quick lp/review of it and where I first heard it. Sooooo, my real point in setting up this thread is to talk about this game and if there are nice, old seniors out there who got the game or knows the game or actually managed to remember this game, I wanna see some personal reactions, comments, and reviews in why we can make a better game without funding than that :D /dashes off forever hiding under the bed/
I love this game so much. My favorite parts are the random gay ending that comes out of nowhere as well as the flubbed line they kept in. I want to LP this.
After the chase scene, there's an option that will make the boss hit on the male protagonist. Then they walk off together, leaving the female protagonist alone. Of course, you get scolded for doing it.
OH LOL! I'm gonna watch AVGN again for the flubbed line because I never really understood it the first time around. I still can't figure out where the hell is the nun in all of this. At least the Panda made it in the credits and in John's dream.
I...I can't see an LP of this going well. Especially if you wanted to keep it entirely in screenshot format.
Wouldn't there be not much of a difference whether it is screenshot or not? (since it is mostly a slideshow rather than a movie)
I just replayed it. It is far worse than I remembered. Really, the female protagonist spends the entire intro insulting you and practically calling you a creep.
Indeed. The entire game (sans one scene) is up on YouTube right now. You can use the annotations at the end of the video I linked you guys to to make choices.
Or, for a blind playthrough, there's GrimithR's runthrough of the game. He kept everything worksafe (but I still wouldn't recommend watching this at work). It's also an hour long, and midway through, the emulator he's using desyncs the audio... which, honestly, only adds to the experience. Also, for fun, take a shot every time Grimith says 'what'. Actually, don't, you'll be dead by the half-hour mark.
I have too many drinking games in queue already and I don't plan on dying before the stupidity that is 12/21/12
