My general rule for ordering T-Shirts in the US (TeeFury and the like) is to order a size smaller. So when I was a XL here, I'd order Large from the US. An US XL is almost a tent to me now...

Some behind the scenes material/threads are starting to show up in the backers forum. I'm enjoying it.

Episode 2 of the documentary is up and, once again, it's excellent.

    Episode 3 is up.

Did...did Tim just confirm Brütal Legend 2? It's hard to tell. Check out 24.35 into the video. Probably just my mind (or ears in this case) playing tricks on me. A man can dream!

Didn't he say the same thing as with Psychonauts 2?. I.e. "if we make it"?

I really like the documentary but I want more! Half an hour every month (plus some side quests) is not nearly enough to cover the development of a game.

You mean Double Fine is going to finish the other half of Brütal Legend 1? AWESOME

Episode 4 is out and once again, it's great. These guys are getting better and better.

Goddamn is the latest episode good! I knew 2 Player Productions did good work from Season 1 of the Penny Arcade TV show, but so far the documentary is even better than I expected. Also, all the concept art guys seem awesome and I think the game is going to be really good.
  10. candide Armchair Designer

Yeah, someone on the DF forums said - "This episode was full of that strangely heartwarming feel the whole documentary has been giving off so far". Exactly.

I just caught up on these. In episode 3, damn, did Tim Schafer rip Chris Remo a new asshole or what? And does it make Remo look like a total douche? Here is the first table meeting where Schafer tells them the game that's basically just a few pages in a notebook, and Remo, the new guy, is giving a little critique waaaaaaay before it's time for that. Which is what Schafer then says in the interview portion.

Episode 4 is the happy feelgood artist episode. Though the two guys who live in crappy studio apartments in NYC should've stayed out west. I guess they both want to be fine artists, but I have more respect for the work they do for Double Fine. The third guy has basically embraced being a concept artist and lives an idyllic life on a secluded island. I'd rather be the third guy.

I've always thought Remo was/is the worst part of Idle Thumbs.

Is there any way to watch these on a TV right now? I backed the game and I get the emails with the Vimeo links but I haven't been watching them. Is there a way on the 360 to watch them maybe?

They're on vimeo, so if you can watch them you can capture them with something like FlashGot, convert them to a different video format and play them on a media player.

Or, if you have a PS3 you can use the browser to go to the website and watch them on your TV. Or you could hook your PC up to your TV if you have HDMI out on your video card, or VGA in on your TV.

So I guess there's lots of ways.

    Not with your 360 though.
  15. extarbags Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Not so. If you can get the file into a standard format, you can set up the Windows Media Sharing Service on your computer and stream it on your 360.
  16. Bryce Keeper of the Elemental Materials

Sorry to be snarky, as I wish I could watch these on my TV as well, but with only a 360 as its media heart... :(

And this is why no Microsoft product will ever be the media center of anything.
  17. extarbags Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Eh, I used the 360 as my media center for a long time before I got an Apple TV. It wasn't perfect by any means but it got the job done.

Am I alone in thinking the art style looks great? I've seen a surprising amount of "looks childish" comments.

If people think it "looks childish" then those people must not be familiar with Psychonauts.

Also, if all that shit was in-game, holy fuck, that's fucking beautiful.

What?!? It looks gorgeous! I can't stand adventure games but the art in this trailer makes me kind of want to play this one, that's how good it looks.
