Yeah, somewhere around here, I'll post when I find them. Not a lot though.

    Okay, more auction results.

    High-value but Underachieving:
    • MERP lot: $66
    • MERP "Lake Town" campaign box, in shrink: $85
    • Dune RPG hardcover - $108
    • Game of Thrones hardcover - $90
    • 1974 5th printing D&D boxed set - $132
    • D&D Module Lot of B7/B8/B10 went for $108, which is insanely high absolutely speaking but still much lower than some BIN sellers want for B10 alone.
It seems that the value expectations for the above are artificially inflated due to the prevalence of sellers using eBay as a storefront vs. auction. So what happens is you get a high BIN history for something (e.g MERP items, Dune RPG set to $200+, D&D boxed sets at $150+, B10 at $150, Game of Thrones hardcover at $150+) but with no actual buyer demand to justify it.
    Better than expected:
    • FGU's Aftermath! box set in shrink + module: $51. Much higher than I expected. If I can get similar values for all my (many) FGU items then I'll be happy.
    Expected:
    • L5R limited edition first edition, first printing hardcover - $68
    • Shadowrun lot of 17 books - $35
    • Twilight 2000 lot of 13 books $62
    Very cheap:
    • Greyhawk original supplement - $20
    • 7 Aberrant books $10.
    • Complete Book of Necromancers $10
    • In Nomine lot of 8 books - $10.
    • Underworld & Wilderness supplement - $20 (and shipped to Japan, so now I have coverage in Asia!)

BTW I raised the starting bids on my Dark Conspiracy and Champions lots to $19.95. I doubt I'll get bids, if they flame out I'll bring them with me to Seattle in a week and you can have them (or I can ship them to you if you're willing to pay the $8-10 media mail shipping).
  4. RepoMan Hard Cider Gal

Your Ravenloft lot went for $77. I was interested but when it went over $40 it was too high for my budget this month. Good call, I guess. Did you expect that to go that high?

Yeah, Ravenloft is weird in that it has a lot of really hardcore fans, you just can never tell. The stuff that tends to drop in price are fringe, unpopular items, or things that had huge production runs and without matching popularity.

I scheduled a bunch more auctions to go live while I'm in Seattle so that they'll finish when I return home and can start shipping stuff out.

My eBay fees are approaching $300 -- I guess I now know how they make their money...
  6. Baker Worked The System

Sometimes it's better to list lots like this at Boardgamegeek before dumping them on eBay. Lower fees, and they go to a much better cause. I've only sold board games there, though. Maybe the RPG marketplace is a wasteland.

Some stuff didn't sell, so we're getting down to the 'trash' lots, although I'm a bit surprised that I didn't get even a $20 bid on my Ars Magica lot which has the Lion Rampant edition in it.

Anyway, if anyone wants these let me know, just be willing to pay media mail shipping.

    Ars Magica set
    Top Secret S.I. lot

Oh, and two of my auctions that finished today are going to France. FRANCE. To two different people.
  8. Eduardo X Worked The System

Dammit, I forgot to bid on the Glorantha and Cyberpunk stuff. Dang baby always wanting to eat and sleep!

OMFG this feels like a full time job...just put up another set of lots. I had no idea I had so much Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance stuff. I threw my World of Darkness lot #2 up (I'm guessing in total I have > 150 White Wolf items, maybe even 200+) and of historical note, my signed boxed "Adventures in Fantasy" by Arneson & Snider.

    Here's all my shit.

And by "All" I mean "the stuff I have up for now". I still have probably only gotten through 20% of my total collection. I'm still looking at piles of various one offs that won't sell well in a lot. Victoriana, FGU RPGs (Other Suns, Bushido, Land of the Rising Sun, etc.), Jorune, tons more D&D stuff, Thieves Guild, Compleat Alchemist et. al, Everway...gah!

I'm probably going to do a "vintage TSR" lot including all my nostalgia early 80s TSR boxed sets: D&D, Boot Hill, Gangbusters, Gamma World, Top Secret).

Just out of curiosity BTG, why are you getting rid of all this stuff (if that's not too personal a question)?

I bought most of this stuff when I thought I was 'settled'. I had a nice library and this stuff was all unpacked in floor to ceiling bookshelves. When, as it turned out, I wasn't as settled down as I thought I was, all my material possessions became an immense burden in terms of moving and storage. The reality was I didn't actually read the RPGs that much at all, I was mostly buying stuff out of nostalgia (remembering seeing ads for all these awesome RPGs in Dragon magazine -- RPGs I didn't have access to financially or physically).

So when I bought my new house in North Carolina and I had to move all this stuff into it I realized, upon seeing the scale of the boxes/crates, that it was silly to keep this stuff. I don't have room for it, and I'd rather take the money and convert it into much smaller, useful material possessions (like musical instruments...or having my land graded).

I love the hell out of Ars Magica, but the ones you have for sale aren't the sourcebooks I'd be most interested in and, honestly, I would never get to use them. I have no one who wants to PNP RPG with me, so I'd just be using them for writing inspiration.

I have an Indiana Jones Mastersystem box that came with a rule book and some cards. I tried playing once and didn't have much fun. I was young and didn't realize it was an RPG, I think, when I got it. But I still have, still plan to sell it. I'm interested to see how it turns out for you.

I liked the Mastersystem set of rules (from what I remember) -- a fairly simple dice pool system. But the source books out there (for all systems) I find just silly at times. Role playing as Indy? Sure, I guess. But who wants to be Short Round?!

So recent spate of auctions completed.

Unsold, but snagged already by someone here, were my Avalon Hill Lords of Creation RPG boxed set w/ Horn of Roland boxed adventure; FASA Earthdawn w/ 2 supplements; Ars Magica lot; TSR Top Secret S.I. lot; and Arduin Grimoire. He bought the latter and I threw in the rest. I'm a little surprised that those didn't get any bids -- apparently Ars Magica isn't even worth $3/book!

This lot, overall, was fairly disappointing. Only interesting bits:

    Encyclopedia Vampirica - $33
    Exalted lot of 5 books - $20 + $46 shipping to Canada
    7th Sea RPG - $10 + $47 shipping to Germany
    Dragonlance lot of 17 - $91 (woo-hoo!)
World of Darkness lot of 27 books - $55. lol.
    AD&D Forgotten Realms lot of 36 items - $175.
    Metamorphosis Alpha 1978 - $21 + $17 shipping to France
    Lankhmar modules - $11 + 17 shipping to France
    Nobilis 2e hardcover - $49.95
Lot of 19 Cyberpunk RPG books - $102.50, higher than I expected

I just got another two crates of crap, one of which is almost entirely Changeling, Kindred of the East, and Exalted. Apparently I had, uh, all the Exalted.

Sadly, Exalted seems to be valueless.

...and I just found a Vampire the Masquerade: The Sabbat Zippo lighter. WTF.

Anyway, put new stuff up tonight, most of which is White Wolf stuff. 27 item lot of Exalted. Exalted limited edition hardcover w/ slipcase. Lot of 7 Changeling. Lot of 7 Kindred of the East. As always, if they get no bids, anyone here can have them for cost of shipping.

List of my items for sale.

Man, last set of auctions sucked.

Just a ton of $15-20 finals, which are barely worth the effort, but as I mentioned earlier, in total they're still worth it. My Sabbat lighter is up to $27 though, woo!

I got zero bids on Kindred of the East lot of 7 items; Deadlands Marshal's Handbook + Hell on Earth; and Over the Edge rulebook. If anyone wants that pile, speak up! Just pay shipping and they're yours. Otherwise I will probably list them as a grab bag lot and see if I can unload all of them for $15-20.

Other auctions of potential interest I've put up: Recon/Recon Revised/Phoenix Command; CoC 5.6 + Unknown Armies + GURPS Cthulhupunk; Tunnels & Trolls stuff included a 1975 4th ed; GURPS lot of space stuff; and some Conan stuff (TSR Conan + GURPS Conan stuff).

Tomorrow will probably start putting up more stragglers, like my pile of HERO System stuff; pile of FGU stuff; and maybe all the various AD&D 1e stuff I have floating about.

Oh, and I had my first NPB on my big ass lot of White Wolf World of Darkness stuff. I'm a little uncertain what happened, since the buyer was 100% feedback and 2000+ transactions, but he never responded to any questions, etc. So I had to wait days for that to sort through (and relist).
  22. Eduardo X Worked The System

    I'll take those Deadlands books.

And if you want to name a price for unknown armies, I'd like to take that off your hands as well. Shoot me a pm if you like.

Dude, not going to piece it out, I'm trying to get rid of my crap! My crap becomes someone else's crap! Would you hate me if I snuck the Kindred of the East stuff in the box? =) As for UA, it's already got bids and I don't like to pull live auctions, but any that aren't getting traction are fair game.
  24. Eduardo X Worked The System

Ah, I didn't realize it was on eBay. Perhaps I will bid.

Go ahead and send me whatever you want. You are already being quite kind!

I'll set aside the Deadlands + KotE for you, but won't ship until the rest of my auctions are done in case you see anything else you want (or in case someone else wants the KotE set since you don't...otherwise they're your problem =) )

Other recent failures, thus up for grabs:

Castle Falkenstein core rules (won't bother trying to sell if someone here wants it)
    Over the Edge RPG
Computer Ambush by SSI for C64

""DragonRaid is an exciting experience in adventure simulations. More than just a game, it offers hours of enjoyment while teaching participants to resist sin, counter deceptive arguments, memorize Scripture, and build moral and spiritual character." - from the back of the Dragonraid RPG boxed set.

Probably three bucks or so via Media Mail. Or if you want to watch for more failed auctions I can easily do a batch and save shipping costs (media mail scales pretty well).

Went and got the last of the crates of my stuff. Jesus shit I have a lot of White Wolf. I mean, a lot of White Wolf.

As in, I already sold off something like 100+ White Wolf sourcebooks, but those were apparently the stragglers. I found the main vein and just posted them.

    Wraith: The Oblivion, 17 books
    Changeling: 4 books
    Hunter: 10 books
    Werewolf: The Apocalypse: 11 books
    Vampire: The Masquerade 42 books
    Mage: The Awakening 5 books
Mage: The Dark Ages, 19 books
    Vampire: The Requiem, 12 books
    Mage: The Ascension, 16 books
World of Darkness + Vampire lot, 11 books
    Werewolf: The Forsaken, 7 books
Mummy, Mummy 2e, and Demon: The Fallen, 3 books

That's 157 books right there, all White Wolf. And if you go back and include in the Kindred of the East, Exalted, and first lots of Vampire and Werewolf, yeah, probably close to 250 White Wolf items I've sold/am selling. Holy shit.

And apparently another set of Ravenloft modules, all in shrinkwrap. Duplicates of an earlier Ravenloft set. WTF. And yet more Iron Crown stuff. And more MERP stuff.

On a positive note, my Skyrealms of Jorune lot sold for over $90.

Once all this stuff clears through I'm down to my onesies and trash stuff and will post that stuff here if anyone wants 'em.

MERP stuff is actually really valuable, so that doesn't count as clearance trash =) $20 probably covers 10+ pounds of stuff, so keep it around and as stuff winds down I'll put it up. I'm going to have a crap ton of weird stuff that doesn't sell or isn't worth listing. I'm updating the first post in this thread with claimed/unclaimed stuff.
