I am ridiculously hyped for this game and it's still 2 weeks away. And to anyone who follows me on tumblr: sorry about the Fire Emblem picspam. I...just can't help myself.

So I was making good progress playing cupid and planning out skills for my future Pokemon army, when I realized that I paired up everyone but myself. The only guys left were:




an uptight megane character whose hat is apparently drilled to his head no matter what class he is, or


a pothead hillbilly shota.

I didn't like what I saw, so I turned to my last resort:

Celibacy is totally a thing that can happen, don't worry, it's going to be fine-- The last one looks pretty go for him. Unless he has personality problems, in which case ABANDON SHIP, CELIBATE HERO ALL THE WAY!

W-who is that megane character? I don't remember seeing him before

...I think I know who I'm pairing my character with now.

I love the fact that the dark mage outfit for males is just as revealing as the one for females. This thing is 90% mesh. Also, that ribbon on the front is very conveniently placed.

Jerome looks more like Nightwing. Also, apparently there's no real significance to why he wears a mask. He just thinks it looks cool. xD

Jerome's obviously a closet cosplayer. TBH, I think he looks better with his mask on. He got squinty eyes. :((

Pffff, I think he's adorable with his mask off.

He's also a ginormous woobie. Oh god, WHY CAN'T I MARRY ALL OF THEM? I think I'll pair him up with Noire in my first file.

EDIT: and then there's Chambray, the cowardly lion Werebunny. God damnit. Good thing I already settled on doing Chrom first or I would be racked with indecision.

I look forward to playing the Everybody Dies Alone version of this game and wondering if we're even playing the same one or not.

Heh. Well, everyone but Chrom. He has to get married for plot-related reasons, and if all of his eligible marriage candidates are either married/dead then he marries an unnamed village girl.

Also, if you don't marry anyone then you miss out on a lot of characters.

Look, I know what happened. I didn't want it to be this way. Sometimes things just happen that seem beyond our control. This isn't an excuse you know. Definitely romancing Sully first. With Japanese voices, though, since I'm interested in hearing the difference between the seiyuu and English voice actress.

I totally thought Naoto was a girl, too. If she is she's my #1 choice for romance.

Not yet sadly. They haven't even revealed two of the 1st gen character's translated names yet or most of the 2nd gen.

Eh, I'm planning on buying all of the DLC anyways. Mad King Gangrel reminds me of Kefka, actually. I wonder if he's got a laugh to match those supremely scary fingernails.

He should be free. He was in Japan anyway. They really differ depending on your avatar's gender. I would say that the female version is closer to the version of Gangrel you see in the game but both fit him.

This is Gaius/Gaia. He's a theif. He also hoards candy. I'm going to support the shit out of him.

Gaius is awesome. Plus one of the few male redheads. Donnel (pothead hillbilly shota) actually has really good supports with everyone too. Everyone is the game is wonderfull and I love them all.

Donny isn't even the ACTUAL shota, he's only halfway there.

True. His S rank actually handles the age difference between your avatar and him rather well.

Heads up to anyone else who was planning to pre-order: I finally got a chance to go to GameStop today, and they told me it was too late to pre-order. Major disappointment, but I guess I'll have to look for the art book on ebay.

Yeah, the game is apparently way more popular than anyone anticipated, so they didn't make enough copies for launch day. I think Amazon is having the same problem.

I pre-ordered it not even a week into January. I would have done it earlier, but my mom was too busy to take me to the mall. And it's coming out 5 days after my B-day.

Last I checked sort of for Amazon. Still taking orders I think but "maybe" going to have shipping delays.

Yeah, I had no problem pre-ordering Shadow Dragon (which came with an art cell). I guess maybe a lot of people wanted the art book (which is why I was pre-ordering). At least it's good to see that FE is doing so well over here.
The only way to get the art book right now is to pre-order that gorgeous 3DS. WHY DOES IT TEMPT ME SO?
That being said, though I'm not too upset, because GameStop has been unreliable before when it comes to pre-order bonuses. My brother and I pre-ordered Heart Gold and Soul Silver to get the Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Arceus figurines, only for them to say on release day that we couldn't have them, because they ran out (they were giving them to people who hadn't pre-ordered). We went to Toys-R-Us and they gave us both figurines, AND t-shirts and Pikachu hats.

That 3ds is very pretty. Gamestop has generally been good about all my preorder stuff. Probably helps that I live 2 minutes away and always get there at opening to get my stuff. Before I forget most Gamestop might actually not be releasing this until the 5th because of the days games are releashed here.
