Probably the only politician you can consider awesome.
At first, I was thinking, "yeah, well, he still doesn't make up for Bjork."
Then, "oh. so much for that."
Your opinions on music are wrong. Didn't we establish this?
Speaking of the awesomeness that is Bjork, I just watched Dancer in the Dark yesterday. Pretty good holiday fare.
You are a bad man and should feel bad.
Actually, I'm totally down with early Bjork, pretty much up through Homogenic, maaaaaaaybe Vespertine, but she was always more talented at choosing producers than anything. Sadly, she crawled up her own ass and died.
Edit: I nearly posted what
OZ 4.0 did, verbatim. Although that reminds me that there are whole bunch of stuff from the 80s that I regret not posting for his edification.
I think you just crawled up your own ass and died.
Well, it's true. I'm not saying that she wasn't a talented vocalist and songwriter, because she was, she was just more talented at choosing the proper people to work with on a given album. I know I wrote it to sound like a slam, but it really isn't.
So here's some kind of infographic, but I'm not sure what it's showing. It purports to show how popular the various things are. I understand the x axis as years, but what is the y axis? Percentage?
There's no way the Amstrad was ever that popular!
I'm guessing the y-axis is percentage and the x-axis is year?
LABEL YER GODDAMN AXES. NERD RAGE.
The years are off, too. The PS2, for example, looks like it starts in about 97.
I think you might be reaching a little with that year guess.
Percentages on the y-axis doesn't make any sense since they mostly never add up to 100%.
AND THAT'S WHY YOU LABEL YER GODDAMN AXIS.
(my guess is that the blank area represents "other")
Also, what's that bright green area between the Wii and the 360 starting in 2011?
I think this whole chart is just shenanigans!
That would be the Wii U.
I wonder if the second chart is console sales, or game sales for that console? I would think the latter since Windows was included but THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T LABEL SHIT ARGH
Quick, Alligator is right on the edge, someone post another chart!
They're actually just supposed to show the range for each stacked category. For instance, Nintendo DS maxes out at about 12%, not 96%.
edit: Percentage of what? Who the fuck knows?!
Perhaps the empty area on the top is 'other' or 'n.d.' ?
It's actually a photograph of pollution in the pacific ocean. Someone just misinterpreted it as a graph and put labels and crap on it.
I always thought it was "SHIT IS FUCKED UP AND SHIT"
Fucked up and bullshit, iirc.
Nice recall. I should've google it!
I think you mean axes.
Why I hate the charts: completely unusable for color-blind people in all the non-labeled areas.
I hear you sister... One of my pet peeves is unlabeled axis. Excel 2007 also doesn't make it easy. Argh
(context for the guy in the picture)
My kid's kindergarten teacher is from Mexico, and he is learning that song for his Christmas pageant. Every day in the car on the way home from school, he hollers: "FENIZE NAVIDAAAAAAAA!!"
(he says his Ls as Ns right now).
So they spruced up that shitty box art!
It may be the vodka, but it took entirely too goddamn long for me to figure out just what was going on there.
If at first you don't secede, try spelling it correctly.
If it wasn't in the Sports section...
Well played, Bill.
I think there have been bits and pieces of these before, but now they are all collected.
Apologies for link, but it's too many to post all at once:
But, to stick with the thread theme...here's one of them:
Separate names with a comma.
