We're not in kansas anymore when the freaking ECONOMIST suggests the Nordic countries have positive features!

The Economist has always been pretty pro robust safety nets and against the 'let them eat cake' Calvinist extremes of the US. It has a centre-right (by the reckoning of most of the world, far left by US standards) editorial slant. It thinks austerity and budget cuts to solve a recession are stupid and that workers' rights are an important plank in a properly curated capitalist society.

Also yeah uh Nordic women being hot has been a thing since I dunno the Norman Conquest of England.

Because, and here I risk the wrath of Lizarf King, a lot of Americans thinks the European countries have as much or more in common as US states do - and that a book like this, that people in Denmark really wouldn't bat an eye at (apart from the fact it's very early 70's stuff) wouldn't absolutely horrify Italians (or I guess most Britons too).

When it changed from North Texas State Univeristy (NTSU) to University of North Texas in 1988, despite speculation, , they did not also change the radio station call letters, which were, and are still, KNTU. A missed opportunity.
