Of course ! Where would the suspense be otherwise ? Also, spoilers are one of the few things people on the internet will think are holy, beside cats and a few others. 'Thou shalt not spoil' comes directly after 'Thou shalt not commit orthography' and before 'Thou also no grammar'.

Anyway, you're probably weird enough, what with the snails and stuff, to think it's a cute image and not actually trolling, though, but it was good that Creole Ned 'spoiled' it.

Opps. Thought it was obvious enough that my comment to Ned wasn't serious. And if I offended you I do apologize. But please note that I added the tags later after I realized someone might be weirded out - the image as such is actually pretty harmless, at least in my opinion.
And no, it is not cute - but if it would be then here would be the wrong place in any case.

Edit: Just to add - if you think not being digusted by animals without a spine is weird, you have led a really sheltered and boring life. Again, my opinion.

No, it was not obvious to me you were not serious. Obviously.

Definitely not sheltered, probably boring, though (check out my posts in the What's Interesting thread), but the weirdness is keeping snails as pets. You see, it's a pretty low percentage on the pet chart and that is enough to quality as weird.

No one accused Farnsworth of being boring (maybe a little old man smelly), he accused me of being boring, and I kinda agreed. Perhaps I should have told him to bite my shiny metal ass.

I don't have a problem with snails, they are quite tasty. I had some escargot on vacation last week that were sublime. They had taken them out of the shell and cooked them on cast iron dish over/near a fire (if the menu is to be believed) with butter and some other ingredients that I couldn't make out. Pretty great.

I was a bit hasty - I'd be surprised if you'd actually be boring. But it always saddens me when I realize that the appreciation of nature as I see it differs from so many others. I am surrounded daily by people who share my views, so I am a bit out of touch there. Ivory tower and all that.

Can't say I am a big fan of the taste myself. See ? Advantage yours !

Dudes, we're pretty good around here about image sharing. If all you want to see is cutesy stuff, there's a thread for that. (It has some snails, but you'll probably survive.) If the worst thing that happens to you today is that you open a spoiler and see an image that makes you go "EW!" then you're in pretty great shape and don't have much reason to complain. If and when people start posting pictures of children mangled in car wrecks, then we'll have a problem, but your squeamishness about mildly oogy images is not everyone else's responsibility. That said, at least we didn't have another Lumsplosion resulting from unnecessary post-reporting, so yay for progress!

Your snails rock Farnsworth. Although I'd go for a cuddly pet. Where my idea of cuddly is a rat.

Rats make pretty nice pets, yes. Ages ago several friends of mine had some. I have nice memories of a party where two rats slept under my shirt on my shoulders after everyone else had stressed them out with continuous cuddling.

I'm allergic to rodent feces. So no pet rats for me. I don't think I'm allergic to snail feces, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to find out either way. Those giant snails freak me the fuck out.

I really want a rat, because rats are fucking cool. But while I'm living with my parents they'll be like "uh, no", and when I'm finally able to move out chances are that I won't be allowed to keep a pet :(

Rats do make neat pets, but the males are pretty much constantly urine-marking, and they all defecate frequently. Enclosures need to be larger than most people expect and cleaned very frequently, they really should be kept as pairs (or more) because they are highly social, they're nocturnal so are sleeping when you're not, they're highly susceptible to respiratory illness (you have to be careful about what sort of bedding you use), and have a lifespan of 2-3 years. If you can deal with all of those things, they're highly intelligent and affectionate animals and do make great pets. Just make sure you fully understand what you're getting into.
