Is this the injury support group? I've lost McGahee and DeSean Jackson in the last two weeks and am now hoping DeMarco Murray stays injured so I can keep starting Felix Jones. I think I'm doomed.

I didn't even pick Jones up, because it sounded like Murray was only going to be out for a week.

Okay, so, my flex position pickup, Mohamed Sanu, suffered a season-ending injury in practice the other day.

The leaves me with the following options: Matt Forte (who's sounding questionable), Larry Fitzgerald (who can't find a decent quarterback to save his life), Rashard Mendenhall (made me look like a draft genius for all of one game, then proceeded to mock me every following week), or some other scrub I just picked up who I believe to be Chris Givens.

My starting backs, by contrast, are Rashad Jennings and Ryan Mathews. Ugh.

    Come back, Gronk!

  4. Matt Schaub at TEN or RGIII at NYG?
  5. Matthew Schempp This Is SEWIOUS

I think Schaub. Texans still need to run up the score a little, and NYG looked really good against GB.

Big week this week. Lotsa teams trying to make it into the playoffs. Good luck if you're on the bubble.

Reggie Bush is dead to me.

Matt Forte put up 15 on the bench. Chris Givens put up 9 on the bench.

Meanwhile, in the Flex spot, Larry Fitzgerald scored all of 2.

Seriously. Fitz has been a huge disappointment, and I haven't had the guts to cut bait with him yet, so I just have this #1 receiver slot that only gets me 5 points a week (except for that one week where he scored 20).

I didn't draft the guy, so I'm not as disappointed in him as I was, say, Peyton Hillis or Jermichael Finley (or T.O.), but it's still frustrating.
  11. Hanacker Armchair Designer

Ugh, my fantasy season may depend on RG3 having a crap game. At least it will make Monday exciting (if it isn't over by then already).
  12. Wader Beer

Funny, mine depends on his having the game of his life (well, that and Dallas' D)
  13. Wader Beer

Wow, so it appears that my opponent and I (barring another Jason Witten or Bryce Brown TD) are going to tomorrow nights game tied. I have RG3, he has the Giants Defense and kicker... Its the playoffs on the line...
  14. Hanacker Armchair Designer

The team I needed to win got Bryce Brown'ed, so no playoffs for me, despite winning. 3rd most points - 5th place. So it goes :(

Ok, technically I'm in if Ahmad Brashaw scores about 4 touchdowns with 200 yards and a few catches...
  15. sinfony Keeper of the Elemental Materials

Needed to win and get help to make the playoffs in one league. I took care of business to the tune of a thirty point win, bringing me to a four-game win streak, but it looked pretty bad for the help: the guy I needed to win had a slim lead and Martellus Bennett last night against Alfred Morris and Victor Cruz. Cue Bennett TD and lackluster Morris/Cruz performances, followed by much celebration on my part. Justice done, as I ended the regular season with the second-highest point total by a good margin.
  16. Matthew Schempp This Is SEWIOUS

    Aargh, I can't do it.

Pick three: Austin, Bryant, Fitzgerald and Tate. I know the answer is to bench Fitz, but I don't wanna! I want to beleive!
  17. Cosmic Hippo Hivemind Coordinator

Bench Fitz. YOU KNOW IT IS YOUR DESTINY

Bleah. Out of the playoffs in 2 leagues, lost the first round in another despite being in first or second place the entire season. All I have left is the also-ran tier in Shmtur's keeper league.

You are most definitely not out of the playoffs in the BF league. Beat me and there will be a whole lot of teams at 8-6.
  20. Wader Beer

Ok, last minute opinion needed. Mike Wallace has had 3 miserable weeks with Ben Roethlisberger gone. I benched him last week, and had planned to start Kendall Wright in his place. However, Ben is back. I am now tempted to give Wallace another chance, because he's been the better receiver all season if Ben was playing.

    Any opinions?
  21. Matthew Schempp This Is SEWIOUS

Go big or go home, play Wallace.

I'm torn: New England defense hasn't scored less than 5 fantasy points since week 3 against the Ravens; they're pretty rock solid in fantasy land. Except that's mostly by forcing turnovers, and I don't think Houston will be as mistake-prone. I'm also not objective about them because I'm an NE homer. New England defense or Tampa Bay, who haven't done all that great fantasy-wise but are playing the Eagles this week?
  23. Wader Beer

I wouldn't listen to me, because I am having a horrible season, but I dont think anyone has gone wrong starting the team playing against the Eagles all season... It would be interesting to calculate that stat...
  24. I need to win today to get to the playoffs - due to injuries to - Rob Gronkowski, LeSean McCoy, Percy Harvin and Danny Amendola, I had to start three Raiders and Brian Hartline.
    DDDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMed
  25. sinfony Keeper of the Elemental Materials

Starting Andrew Luck against the putrid Titans defense over Cam Newton against the reasonable Falcons defense was a totally defensible decision. [Cue Herm Edwards that's why you play the game etc.] Kill me now.
  26. Cosmic Hippo Hivemind Coordinator

Yeah, went with the Buccs. Too good a matchup to pass up. And I'm happy with my decision so far!

I managed to take back #1 and finished as regular season champion, so I will NOT fade out in the first playoff game!
  27. Wader Beer

I would like to thank Bryce Brown for bringing me to the edge of making the playoffs thanks to his magnificent performance the past few weeks, then today playing like he's on the Eagles and dashing my hopes.

Raise your hand if you have Seattle's D and Lynch in the two leagues in which you are playing this year. [hand raises]
  32. QuantumBit Armchair Designer

Seattle D might have gotten the third highest points overall this season (after Doug Martin's insanity and I thought I recalled another RB or a QB going over 40 earlier). My D plan has been just to pick up the D that's playing Kansas City each week. 17 point for Cleveland this week, it's not 40 but it's not bad.
    Brandon Clements likes this.
  33. Depending on the scoring format, 17 points for Cleveland's D/ST might be the highest it's been in several years.
  34. QuantumBit Armchair Designer

There is a reason I have been picking up the team playing KC each week. Me and 10 of my more athletic friends could put up 8 fantasy points against the KC offense.
  35. Wader Beer

My path to the playoffs in my league is down to two options.

Option 1: Stevan Ridley scores less than 1 point tonight. (I can't see this happening)

Option 2: Wes Welker and Owen Daniels combine for more than 15 points. (I suppose this has a slightly better chance of happening).

I am considering offering congratulations to the other guy.
  36. To update...Add RGIII to my Injury woes.

    QB - RGII
    WR - Percy Harvin
    WR - Danny Amendola
    RB - LeSean McCoy
    TE - Rob Gronkowski

I just feel bad for Doug Martin and Marshawn Lynch who warrior on. Those poor poor men...they must be inconsolable.
  37. Hanacker Armchair Designer

I had a choice between Dalton and Schaub and picked Schaub. After Dalton's mediocre game, I was glad I picked Schaub. After tonight, I am less glad.
  38. Bill Dungsroman Magister Mundi Elyscape

Man I am a dumbass. I thought I was out of the playoffs in most of my leagues but it turns out I only missed one league, Erik J's. I backed into the playoffs in 2 other leagues (in one, I lost in the last week but moved up from the second seed to the first, and won last week). I thought I was done in Shmtur's keeper league after nixon "Seahawks D/Marshawn Lynch" 66 demolished me, but nope, facing balut this week. Still alive in Bowyer's league too!
  39. QuantumBit Armchair Designer

What size league is this, how do you have McCoy, Martin, and Lynch?
  40. 10 man League. Also, remember Martin and RGIII were rookies and weren't drafted early (there was a lot of computer drafting this year lol). But yeah, barring injuries I'd win this in a laugher.
