Giant Multiplayer Robots! [Civ5]

Actually, I should be fine to start the game whenever, I think. The story is that I'll be heading out of town for close to a week on Friday, but I will be taking my old laptop with me, which can certainly run Civ V sufficiently during the early game. I'll just need to get it installed, and sort out the GMR client on it. Everything is done on my main PC.

And Hanzii, I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread, you can likely expect me to join :)

I just received notification on my last turn that Spain lost their capital. Let's have ramcat take his next turn to see if he's removed from the rotation after submitting it. If not, we'll have him retire via the GMR website.

As a hard-working American, there are basically two times I can do turns -- before six thirty my time and after 9 my time. So, I tend to be a drag on the games. No one has complained yet, but we'll see if Mysterio put me on the list or not. :P

Also G&K Multiple Turns:

I was under the impression that Ramcat attacked DB first, which lead to an uneasy peace. I do not think that Ramcat deserved to be eliminated, but he still was a threat to DB, especially with DB's conquered city way on the other side of the continent. Some conquest was necessary.

The unsettled land you are scouting is my land. You're not unwelcome to scout it, but don't imply that db could settle on it. That is my decision.

Matthew Schempp, do you own all of the DLC (Ancient Wonders + all of the civs)?

Josho, you said you own all of the DLC. Does that include Ancient Wonders, as well? I need to confirm, since the game won't load for you if I've enabled a DLC during game creation that you don't own.

Yep, I have them all. Double checked by going to the store page and adding all to cart. And I can certainly build the Mauseleom, Statue of Zeus etc.

I need tvo catch up on these posts.
First off: Matt - I did not attack DB first. He went around me to attack Nate and destroy his civ. Then he ploted to take me out. There are some good reasons to take out a civ, but in this case, DB is just out for the quick win. For me personally, having ended two (2) civs in just over 100 moves is extremely brutal, but otherwise a good strategic move to winning the game.
Secondly: Both Matt and Nate have regular jobs and even though I'm retired, I volunteer some of my time and therefore cause a delay in play. For the three (3) of us, it is what it is. All I can say is "TOO BAD". So there. ;->

Oh, I forgot. Lastly: Nate is a warmonger!!!!!

Bored Game: Hanzii's Minutemen and Knights are bashing my poor Musketmen and cannons to shit. I managed to grab Milan, though, his ally, and now my bastion of defense against the American hordes!

You mean, you managed an unprovoked attack on a city-state that was allied with me, so I was forced to answer and honor my promise of protection?

Apparently I failed, but taking the city from you again will at least give the poor people of Milan some semblance of revenge.

And a single city a long way from your own lands and in the middle of mine is not a bastion of defense but a remote outpost - enjoy it while it last.

I guess the Mayans didn't want me to explore even their borders, since they declared war on me by destroying my Scout with their Crossbowman, which was an impressive display of power.

Yup, after publicly lobbying against me, being unwilling to establish normal diplomatic relations with me, I should have welcomed your scouts with open arms.

No need to attempt to justify your warmongering ways, 'cause it's what you do. May this war be a glorious one that marks the beginning of the decline of the Mayan civilization!
