It has begun. Poorly, of course. But it has begun. The GOP has made its first post-election overtures to Latino voters by filing the serial numbers off the Dream Act and presenting it as their own. As the article points out, this GOP bill was courageously sponsored by two retiring senators who will no longer even hold office by the time it could likely come to a vote in the next session. Not to be out done by some hoity-toity senators, House Republicans have resurrected their dead STEM Jobs Act bill so they can appear to be seriously (SEWIOUSLY!) working on immigration reform. Don't worry about the fact that the only part of the bill that makes it easier for anyone to come here legally precludes them from working here. Otherwise some poors might get in and vote for another black guy. Taking their queue from these stalwart leaders, the RNC is sponsoring a new campaign to refocus their core constituents on a more Latino-friendly message: Edited for my GED-level grammar.
