The writing is so much weaker this season(3). Did they lose writers? Cuthbert is ...rounder... so I still watch but I'm not laughing. Seriously, this latest episode, I could not take my eyes off her . Where did the rapid fire jokes go?
I caught an episode of this show on a plane from Newark to LA yesterday. It wasn't bad, especially for a sitcom that I didn't know existed beyond billboards ALL OVER LA telling me that it moved nights. Seriously, these billboards, all they show is a brunette having her faced smashed into a cake, and then "Happy Endings! Moving to (some night)!" You're telling me this show has been on television for THREE YEARS now?
I love this show. I was afraid they'd lost the magic in the first episode but then right before the first commercial break Wayans' delivery on his line, "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHSNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!!" had me in fucking stitches. Adam Pally and Casey Wilson were on CBB fairly recently where they talked about how much improv they do. It was pretty funny and not hard to imagine. Per their story when they realized that the episode editors generally cut the button on a scene not on whoever gets the final joke but whoever has the best reaction to it they all started competing to put on the best face. I bet that never gets old for their directors!
