I like Speak With Bread's screen name because I've occasionally pondered it while trying to figure out what it could possibly mean, and the visual imagery is quite entertaining. I don't really want to know though, because it would undoubtedly shatter the fantasy.

I really want to use a different name but after 10 years of mostly the same people at very few sites I'm pretty much stuck with it at this point.

The American way is the correct way.

It's not our fault if the Scandinavians don't know how to pronounce their own langauges.

jeffd (who I know IRL) got confused because my first name is Alex and the first initial of my last name is B, and I post here, but I am not Alexb.

I like Adam B because his first name is Adam and his last name starts with B, so it's really apropos.

This is me as well; for better or for worse I'm mostly stuck with my old DAOC handle in Internet Gaming Forum circles just through habit/inertia. I use IanB elsewhere (ENWorld, the various D&D Minis forums when I was playing competitively (and the game still existed), etc.)

Same here... I've used EruditeDragon so many times, in so many places, it's pretty much become my default username. That said, it fits me, so I see no reason to change it.

My username is just the three first letters of my surname plus the two first letters of my given name, put together. It was automatically generated when I signed up for a university course that required a computer login, and it's kind of stuck, and I'm too lazy/uninspired/uncreative to think up something more indicative of the real me or whatever.

I'll let you all in on why I choose CSL.

It was during high school during right around 2000 when I started playing one of those browser based games where you start ruling a star system/whatever. I named my system the Canadian Star League and when I started talking on the team forum they obviously shortened it to CSL. I've used it since.

Mine comes from this game, which has the same initials as me:

SwitchKnitter is my favorite. That said, "by Thoro's beard" wouldn't really have the same ring to it if it were any other username. Nute is good if only because it reminds me of amphibians.

As far as usernames go, I guess mine's all right. I keep screwing up the spelling of the second half, though, and no one ever knows how to pronounce it.

I truncated the handle in the move from QT3 to BF, figuring that everyone important here probably knew who I was anyway.

I like Quackers' name, because hahahahaha.

Hey, some of us live the dream, some of us dream the... uh... dream.

I love being able to abbreviate Bahimiron to "Bah" because I tend to parse it as "Bah! I'm Iron!" And because when he's in Cranky Mode, it's very easy to imagine a Burgess Meredith-esque "BAH!" prefacing anything he types.
