..... I-I ... uh, um,
....What at everything. Just ...
Here, let me spoil it for you guys:
OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY ! GUYS ! Read my favorite trainwreck, Acid Flower ! It's yaoi, with terrible drawings, terrible characters and terrible plot. Also, awful vampires that betray the lore so much it's actually painfull and something acid that shouldn't ever be acid in fiction or reality alike.
Well I know what I'm doing with my time.
I think I'm going to start a thread where I review mangas I've read. MTNN is going to get its own thread though.
Just beware, there's rape scenes (why of course, it's yaoi, there HAS to be rape =___=).
And do it ! :D
FUCK ME, I FORGOT UNTIL NOW WHAT THAT WAS ABOUT.
*buries head into sand and burrows into the center of the earth, damn you Sugar-Junkie!*
Psh, I'm reading Black Bird, I'm unfortunately used to it by now! In a "God I want to claw my eyes out" kind of way.
At least I have decent and good BL to counterbalance it. (... What, I keep finding BL without trying so half the time I give up and just start reading it. If you have a good GL or Yuri title to share with me, please do.)
I totally will! Eventually.
Well I was already apprehensive but this cements it.
It get worse !
/wanders onto this conversation.
Acid Flower sounds trippy.
Should I...read it? For this thread?
By the way, I'm fine with people suggesting other mind-scarring one-shot/short stories to "explore" here. I think a lot of the mind-scarring ones take a bit longer. I may attempt to read Kare no Tomodachi (this is just as much if not even more WTF than our current read) if I can't find anything else.
It's quite NSFW, so be sure to use plenty of censor bars if you want to post pages of this terrible most excellent manga !
Don't. Shh, it's okay, I can take this one.
I can take this one. I'm reading Black Bird.
... Are you sure you want to attempt Kare Wa Tomodachi?
Aw man, I'm not disturbed very easily, and the only bad shoujo manga I can think of off the top of my head are real long-runners or NSFW yaois. Dang, and I wanted to make recommendations. -boo-
Is it sad that Black Bird was actually one of the first shoujos I've ever read?
Why did I even admit that.
Okay, so I'm reading the synopsis for Acid Flower and well, I think it's better to just show it.
Yeah, lemme just skip a few lines and maybe -
*waves hand* I'm still game. I'm going to make a review thread rather than a Let's Read, but I'm willing to bludgeon my senses and brain for everyone else's entertainment since I find the stuff I read hilarious in a painful way somewhere down the road. That or I enjoy torturing myself like that, but we already knew that.
Randissimo... /sends anti-mind scar hugs and feels. I have noticed that there's a large quantity of god-awful yaoi, so I might do that as well...
As for Kare Wa Tomodachi. I might. I'm currently undecided on this - but note that I will probably be summarizing a large chunk of things so it doesn't take up as much space I can spend more time on the agonizing stuff.
As for MTNN, do it.
A reason why this one was a favourite of mine is that it still mindscars without being all rape-y. Sort of.
No, it's not. Well, yes, it is, in a "Let me hold you, shhh, it's going to be okay now" kind of way. But it's not pathetic, no.
Yyyep, I'm in for a good one!
Fixed that for you because I assume that's a typo.
I can cover those, no worries. I have a lot of experience with bad BL. More than I have ever wanted. I mean, I read The Tyrant Falls In Love, and that wasn't even the worse.
Good luck with that, in that case.
It is a typo. O_O. What is this story doing to me?
As for bad BL, ahahaha....I have more than a few under my belt...> _ > /whistles innocently
/toys with the idea of reading Shinjo Mayu's stuff...especially the earlier ones...
Don't touch that, I call dibs.
I. Call dibs.
Do any of you remember the name of this long, really cute-looking manga about a girl whose kind and gentle crush has a split personality who is a pervert and a jerk except it turns out it's not a split personality, it's a half-brother who just happens to look exactly the same as him right down to his secret birthmark, and the girl and her crush fall in love with the brother guy is also in love with the girl and the crush dude's childhood friend who always had a crush on him confesses and obviously he rejects her but then she gets hit by a truck so he feels horribly guilty and protag-chan lets him go ahead and break up with her so he can date childhood friend out of pity but not before protag-chan and crush dude have sex and then she cries for like one chapter before she finds herself falling in love with brother guy because of course brother guy's going to have a happy ending he's troubled and foul-mouthed which makes him a spectacular male lead and after a long while childhood friend girl is like "I just realized, keeping you by my side via guilt-tripping is really amoral" and breaks up with crush dude and crush dude is like "protag-chan I still love you" and something something basketball and jerk brother guy gets the girl at the end and crush dude is forever alone and something about amnesia at one point?
I didn't like that manga very much. So I'd love it if someone else found it and read it.
First come, first serve, Randissimo~~
/hypocritcally calls dibs on Mitsu no Yoru by (Saijou Ayano)
I'm getting flashes of Hot Gimmick but some of this really doesn't add up.
Dude, I already read half of the Lucifer/What's-her-face manga, I had dibs since forever. (Can I at least cover that? Please~?)
I think it's this manga you speak of?
Nope, the main characters were all in high school. I think. Might be middle school, can't remember, and don't really bat an eye at middle schoolers having intercourse anymore.
CALLING DIBS-- Wait, what, middle schoolers?
... Debating. Thoroughly debating.
Sure~ which one is it? Is it Kaikan Phrase? That works out great, because I'm never touching that one with a ten-foot pole again. /read until the very hurtful end.
It was high schoolers! Was thinking of Aku no Hana with middle-schoolers. Aku no Hana is great. It has really, really fucked up middle schoolers <3 There was a time skip recently, though, so Kasuga's in high school now. And mildly less fucked up. Somewhat. It's great.
Ikeyamada Go. Almost like Shinjo Mayu, but the kids are in middle-school. (edit) really cliche shoujo-y.
Uwasa no Midori-kun made me want to claw my eyes out. Hm...
/reads sypnopsis and marks to 'To Be Read'
Started reading it.
Please tell me the guy she's fucking at the beginning is near her age. I can at least not feel completely disgusting if they're close in age.
What the fuck is this?
... Just let me handle all of the Shinjo Mayu stuff, I can actually tolerate it despite the pain. (Probably because Black Bird!)
... Donmai, sometimes I worry you'll get put on a list. But hey, high school, it's fair game, then.
I REMEMBER UWASA NO MIDORI-KUN. Don't ask me how. And what the fuck is Ikeyamada Go?
I can stand the pain of Shinjo Mayu because I want to spread it around. Sometimes I wonder if people who read her work are actually sadists. /gets confused
Ikeyamada Go = Stay far away. Donmai's already on a list. My aishiteiru list and so are you~
Edit: Here are the ones I am never touching: Kaikan Phrase and Ai o Utau Yori Ore ni Oborero! (Guy looks like a shota man. And not the sane type). Have at 'em!
The first part was just something the translation team put there. It isn't a part of the manga, don't worry! The real story starts on page. 11.
..... What the fuck?
I can do that just as well! (You don't understand, the M in me must read these for the sake of tears. All of the tears!) Uh... ... Hmm. Possibly? (Great, now I'll be mulling this over all night.)
...... Can't be a good sign, then. Aww, how sweet! <3 Meanwhile you're already part of my open marriage, but so's everyone else on this forum until they state otherwise. By which I mean I want to marry BF in and of itself, so technically speaking, that means I married everyone on BF? TROLL LOGIC, DON'T QUESTION.
Alright, looking those up. I'm going to sob tonight!
You'll be saying that a lot in the near future, I predict.
Dear mindscar yaoi enthusiasts, read this - Eien ni Owaranai.
I predict that divorce proceedings would be difficult and we'd lose everything if people ever decided to leave us.
NOT. TOUCHING. THAT.
Since it was posted her, I'm highly suspicious of all those good ratings...
/waits patiently for the reactions of the curious
