I can think of about fifty horribly bad shojo manga I read during my weeaboo phase, but none that are entertaining to read. I pity the thirteen year old me.

Considered mentioning that but I want to make Hijiri's story memorable and I was too lazy to find censor pictures. We can save the nonconsensual groping horror that we'll inevitably come across for 80% of crap shoujo.

But if anyone wants the quick summary, his hands went *grope* *grope* and he went *kissy face* *kissy face* and *lick* *lick*. And Ayano was all "WTF and then hm...he's pretty good at this...OH CRAP WHAT IF SOMEONE WALKS IN ON US" like 80% percent of crappy shoujo with groping scenes.

Honestly I feel pretty bad for him, but that's no reason to make her suffer for it. I think he needs some major therapy.

I also don't get why she doesn't just call the police on him. I mean I admit I do find this legitimately interesting, but the plot makes no sense whatsoever. I don't really have a problem with a lot of things but that whole biting ring thing is a BIG NOPE.

Also, I just remembered an awful shoujo I read a while back called Love Monster. I'd say it's worse than Black Bird. Actually, both are horrible. I don't remember much, other than that I quit reading it as soon as I started. I don't think I'll try to read it again. For some reason, warning signs keep appearing in my head whenever I hover over the 'start chapter' button.

I'm wondering which you liked better, Love Monster or Black Bird? I personally think Black Bird is a tiny bit more tolerable. But there's not much, when it comes to the quality of these two mangas, that qualifies one as better than the other. They both suck.

Black Bird. Definitely Black Bird. At least Black Bird has... Reasons for why the characters are like that. And Tengu guy doesn't bully Protag-chan for the fuck of it, and actually cares even if he is abusive.

Yeah, it's honestly one of my top contenders for the worst shoujo of all time. I find it funny how the author attempted to incorporate some sort of plot by having the heroine actually turn out to be a crow herself. Plus the mystery around her having white wings, but the whole near-rape every chapter sooooortttt of took away from that.

And by sort of, I mean completely.

I may have forgotten to mention something in all the excitement and that is that sometimes, Sensei's fingers have an extra joint. Generally the odds of this happening are higher if the fingers are on or in someone else's butt. Special vampire power, or just the artist working drunk? The world may never know.
