And not because she's half scottish (Although I did find that very cool, especially since she actually came from a real place :O ).

And actually, I think the Shizune route is really well written - It's not a typical happy "You get the girl, yay!" - it's a very, very realistic take on the fumbling awkwardness of real teenage relationships and their (usually) intrinsic transient nature.

Just putting this out there but my headcanon is that Glasses and Drills get together in the other four routes. I thought about it more and I really do like these two in the routes they appear in that aren't their own, I found those interactions the best kind of 'friendly' and whenever they popped up, I'd go "Oh hey, it's you guys".

So the tales were true ! Indeed there IS people who liked Shizune ! ;)

I don't know if I'm going to get maimed for this, but I think Shizune is probably the most attractive-looking character, and just so you know, I'm not saying that because she wears glasses. I'm not even into megannekko.

i tried playing KS a few moments ago.

Got to the title screen with all of the images from every route's chapters and heard the music and i had to shut it right off because my heart.
also, i would like to introduce you all to my favorite song in the entire game. it's unfortunate that it's only about a minute long.

Her charadesign IS cute but I have issues with her personnality and well... her whole path. But you know, I was only joking ^^'

If we're talking about physical attractiveness, for me it would be either Lilly or Emi. Probably Emi though; her updated sprite just has this really endearing aura of sweetness about it. And twin-tails are a huuuuuge turn on for me. (Her original sprite was just hideous though. Absolutely hideous.) Shizune? (1) She has glasses, which I find unattractive, (2) I don't like her hair style, it just screams bland to me, and (3) her personality is so obnoxious it would make even the most gorgeous beauty in the world look ugly.

Yeah, I was one of the people who followed KS starting back when there was only a demo, not when it recently exploded all over the internet. /feels old

Hmm.... maaaaybe just a little. I totally get where you're coming from, I'm probably just more tolerant towards that kind of thing.
Also I agree on Emi's design looking naturally sweet. even if her updated sprite is obviously rougher when put next to the other girls You can't go wrong with twi- Actually you can go wrong with them. Very wrong. But I loved them on Emi.

EDIT: 4-5 years isn't that long. At least not long enough to warrant feeling old. Now if you remember seeing old Disney movies when they first came out... Not that I could relate though.

What bugs me about Shizune is her uniform. She wears it so simultaneously lumpy and angular compared to the other girls. I do like meganekko and I think she's adorable when she's in other clothes but the uniform... Ugh.

Yeah, she's suuuper popular amongst the KS fanbase. I really wish she had a route, I find her much more physically attractive than any of the main girls, even my waifu Rin. Then again I don't think Rin's that pretty, I just really enjoyed her personality and the way her route developed.

I almost like the sketchiness of her sprite though. The more polished sprites felt too sterile and controlled to me. It was rough, yes, but it was rough with FEELING, you know what I mean?

Huh, I liked Shizune's uniform though, for some reason. I thought it fit her build and her style well. It's probably the only thing I like about Shizune.

I think the most pretty one is Hanako, even with the bruises and stuff. I just love black hair.

Rin is cute too, I just don't like how short her hair is. Of course it wouldn't be easy for her to take care of her hair if it was long, but I'm sure that she'd be utterly cute if her hair hit her shoulders.

Also, I love Kenji. If he only didn't have a stinky breath...

This is kinda weird but when I try imagining Rin with long hair, I also imagine her immediately disapproving and then cutting it, which doesn't make sense but that's what my mind keeps going to.

Also Kenji is uh... a bro I guess? OH! You know what I really liked about Shizune's route? Kenji. I swear that isn't an insult to everything else in the route.

I can't imagine Rin with longer hair, if only because *I* think having hair past my chin is a giant pain in the ass and I have arms.

I don't like my hair very long either, but I don't like it smaller than in my shoulders height 'cause short hair just doesn't look like me.

She could just tie her hair back? But yeah, I can't imagine Rin without that short fluffy cut of hers. Her hair just grows on you. Haha, grows.

They're called oil pastels. Chalk pastels are chalkier.

I really wish there was at least a "kiss him" or "not kiss him" choice there D=

I personally hated Kenji. I hated running into him in the hallways, I hated running into him in my room, I just greatly disliked all interaction with him.

No way to hook up Kenji back with his teahouse/bookkeeper love. It makes the sads.
Though to be honest, Mutou secret science club was the best. I would've played a Mutou route.

Edit: I feel it only appropriate to speak in broken internet English when discussing this game. It feels right for some reason.

I'm just going to go ahead and assume that I'm the only one whose favorite route was Shizune's and was just kind of annoyed by Rin's route. When I started it, I expected like a wacky, comic relief route. It was not that.

I tought it would be a comic route too, but I wasn't disappointed for it not being.

I just felt like it was a missed opportunity. Sure, throw in some drama, but at least give me a breather every now and then where Rin is being her hilarious self instead of all grim dark artist. I still liked it, I was just kind of annoyed.

Funny story actually -- when I first started playing Katawa Shoujo, I found Kenji to be really annoying. I was like, "Man, I just want to talk to my designated chick and complete this route, Kenji!!" But by the second, third, fourth routes...Kenji would be like, "Women, man..." and I'd be like, "...yeah..." (And in my mind we'd brofist.)
