Personally, I liked the very first Monster Rancher for the PS. But I guess I like Monster Rancher 3 second best. I recently acquired Monster Rancher EVO and Monster Rancher 4, and they're both... interesting, to say the least.

I'm doing my best, but I'm working much slower than Nathan. After a moment of silence, he speaks.

Argument just doesn't seem like the right word.
All I know is it left me feeling hurt.

Why did Cap'n do that? Why does he treat women like sexual objects?

Wench tries to justify the madness of the previous post by asking if looking after women is one of the duties of the Pirate King, but Nathan says that it's all Capn's personal choice. Grrrrrreat.

Since Nathanderthal is in an unusually talkative mood, maybe I can finally find out what kind of position "Pirate King" is. And how to take it for myself.

I've only encountered the Serious Pirates and the Comedy Pirates, and they're certainly very different. But I've also heard stories about dangerous, bloodthirsty pirates. I'd started to think they didn't exist in this universe, though.





Okay, that somewhat makes sense. And Cap'n does have a strong sense of justice. But he's hardly a perfect role model.





Wait, does that make him equivalent to the admiral of the navy? How does that work? I can hardly imagine differing bands of pirates coming together in an organized fleet under one leader.

*facepalm* Oh Wench, you had been doing so well as a protagonist up until now. Why did you have to turn into an otome protagonist?

Really, I can tell this spiel is supposed to be winning me over by showing what a great man Cap'n is, but I can't get past him pushing down Wench and making her feel so unsafe that she had to use physical force to try to get him off. That doesn't feel "chivalrous and gentle" to me. Even if it was just him trying to "scare me off" or something, that doesn't justify borderline assaulting her.

But Wench is turning into an otome protagonist at last, and gets starry eyed over the fact that she's sharing a cabin with "such a great man." Ugh.





Of course, Otome!Wench gets flustered and insists that she can't be ~*~special~*~
Strangely-Talkative-Nonstoic-Nathan feels the need to cheer us up.

Peel them carrots, girl. Being useful is a good thing when you're on a ship, and I suspect Nathan might be doing this for a very good reason (e.g. so he can go talk to the Captain without Wench knowing, or giving her some work to take her mind off her troubles). So yeah, he's not mean (at least not intentionally), and it most certainly is fair, young lady!

I agree that Captain is probably trying to scare Wench off... I don't like the 'pushing down on the bed' thing though. Why'd he have to do that? :(

Peel the carrots. He's right, no info is free and since he did become your temporary infoman( dishing alot on the Cap'n) peeling some carrots ain't anything much. (plus if it helps with expanding our harem then heck yeah!)

Why do I get the feeling that Nathan just wants Wench distracted so he can go talk to the captain? Can't have the Pirate King making his new crew members cry, female or male. The crew might get a bad reputation, after all. Though Nathan seems pretty nice, so maybe he would just do it out of concern for Wench/the goodness of his heart. Did that make any sense? I need to stop typing.

Nee-ope...I lurked here for about three months before I made an account, and then even after I did that I kept posting and deleting my posts. :D I still haven't made an LP, but that's mainly because I wouldn't know what to LP and I'm supposed to be doing other things other than playing games. :D I'm trying to be good.

From the LP I'm reading, Christoper also gets a bit fiesty in Nathan's route, too. I guess he occasionally has his moments. :D

He seems to be trolling her a bit in the meantime.
