I think that Wench should now pursue the title of captain of the Sirius and of Pirate Queen, assembling a harem full of Beautiful Men from all over the world that will attract the jealous gaze of every woman alive (and even some men because I cannot refuse Beautiful Women and Fuzzy should they like to join my harem).
By then Wench should be famous enough to have a Wanted sign -with an outrageously high bounty- in each and every city in the world, so wherever Cap'n goes, he will see Wench's face and realize that not only she was far better without him, she also managed to be even more badass than him.

I don't get how this pirate system works. Patchy is freaking FIRST MATE. Shouldn't HE get to be in charge of the ship if Kaptein is indisposed?

Nope, forget real life rules. Kaptein wants Doc to be in charge, so Doc shall be in charge. We don't want Patchy as Captain anyway. He's too gun-happy. He'll get the whole crew dead within days because he'll piss off too many people by firing at them at random for shits and giggles.

And they're used to sailing without a clear goal in mind? Well, I wonder how Patchy figures out his course every day. He's the navigator, so if nobody knows where to go... he can drive them to wherever he wants and no one can complain? Because nobody had better ideas? Now I'm back to wondering just what on earth did Kaptein do every day. CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow at least had his magic compass thingamajic and his crew at least have a vague idea of which direction they're going.

I've been waiting (im)patiently for Voltage to release Yamato's sequel for MFW because they've been advertising it for a week. Well, I just got home and saw an update available. Not for MFW, though Voltage pulled a bait-and-switch. PiL now has Eduardo's sequel and a new side-story called "Haunted Ship" available.

Edit: Aaaand the iTunes Store is down, so I can't actually BUY them. AAAAARGH!!!

Can you believe we're on chapter 13 now? As I recall, each story has 16 chapters, so we're getting close! More than 3/4ths of the way through, yay! And it's only been what, 5 months? Ahahahahasob I'm sorry I'm so slow.

As our story resumes, we find our crew, uhhmm, not much better off than when we left them...



There really is no plan or organization here.
We've been aimlessly sailing, asking at every port we stop at, but no leads have turned up, and I'm starting to lose hope. It's not even clear if we're traveling in the right direction.
What if we never meet Cap'n again?
Of course, this is an otome game. That wouldn't happen. Unless I'm on a bad end…? （ｉДｉ）



But wait, there's more.
Without Cap'n to lead them, the crew is falling apart. It always seemed like Cap'n was slacking off when he was here, but only now that he's gone can I see that he was the unifying factor that held this diverse group together.

Now, nothing is getting done, and small issues are getting blown up into big fights.



…They have a shower? On a boat…? Okay, then.



Also, Patchy, please learn the value of hygiene.





Little issues like these keep happening, and have started adding up into a big problem. Even the atmosphere aboard has changed.
It's not the same crew without Cap'n.



Russell turns on Nathan and starts accusing him. Christopher keeps berating Eduardo, who pulls out his pistol. Thomas sees the weapons coming out and ducks for cover. It's just about to turn into an all-out brawl, when…



Oh great, something else going wrong.
Now what?



That's right, the Comedy pirates have pulled abreast of our ship, and Alan leaned far over the railing to call out to us.

Oh, this is going to be good.
And by good, I mean bad. Hilariously bad.

Weapons sheathed, the crew gathers along the railing closest to Alan's ship, so that we might all hear him. Once certain that he has everyone's attention, Alan begins.

The controlling, megalomaniacal monocle fellow who talked about ruling the world with the Rain Stone is taking extreme action now that he has it?
Hang on, let me put my surprised face on.



Maybe we shouldn't have given the magical super weapon to the crazy guy.
You know.
Just maybe.

But Cecil's not alone in his extremist plan; the majority of pirates are with him. Some are undoubtedly in it for their own gain, whether they're planning to steal the Rain Stone for themselves, or use the cover of war on the empire to justify pillaging that would normally be suppressed by the Pirate King.
Not everyone supports Cecil's agenda, of course, but with an estimated 80% of pirates in favor of it, it seems like a massive war is inescapable at this point.

So, you know, the whole "use the stone for self-defense and end the war as quickly and with as few casualties as possible" plan from before? It's out.
Shiiiiit.



There's more?
Of course there's more. We're aiming for telenovela-level drama here, so this story won't be resolved until we have at least one fake death, a "it was all just a dream!" moment, a time-traveller, and a lot more dramatic close-ups. I'm making that up but watch it turn out to be true.

However, Alan pauses for the first time since he started filling us in, smiling coyly.



…Wait, I know what's coming next.



This seems familiar. Didn't Alan already use a "pay with your body" line before?
Betcha he'll ask for a kiss. Again.

I'm side-eyeing him for being so repetitive, but I guess he's at least consistent? When--

When Alan sees that I'm not going to miraculously fly over to him, he pouts, before seeming to come up with an idea.
His next statement is aimed at the crew, surprisingly.





Ahem? Now I'm a commodity to be traded?
The crew crowds protectively around me, clearly not planning to trade me off. Good harem. Have a biscuit.

Alan's eyes meet mine, and he repeats his question, just for me this time.

All I can picture right now is it being like trying to romance one of the three stooges while simultaneously fighting off the other two stooges (Morgan and Russell, I'd imagine, given their bickering) who are your rivals in romance. I don't even.
