C. Go south
It implies that we believe Alan, and sound like we are determined too.
A. Believe Alan.
He's actually being useful for once. It would be pretty mean to deny that. And he's not being as bad as he is in other people's routes.
Regarding Inuyasha (completely and utterly accurate):
A or C
A! Let's trust Alan on this one.
I love you.
Glad to be of service /bows
I just realized why I like Kaptein so much. He IS Gold Roger.
It is my duty as a One Piece fan to try to romance him! Also hes hot
Edit: No not, really. Well he's still hot
I pick A as well. I want to believe everything he says cause he's so adorably dumb <3
I lurve him!
Alan provokes such conflicting feelings in me. He's hilarious, but he does things I'm not comfortable with, but he's actually very brilliant, if... Rather unaware. And surprisingly sweet and caring. But then he does something I'm uncomfortable with again. And then he does something I find hilarious. IT'S LIKE NEURO ALL OVER AGAIN only with mild-ish sexual overtones.
However, for the sake of the vote, I'm going with C this time. It implies the trust, it's pro-active, and it's probably the wrong answer but whatever, I'm choosing that.
We believe in Alan!
Believe in the Alan, and he will believe in you when you tell him of the wonders of harem and-
I really need to stop voting while hyper.
A. Believe Alan, because he'd never put dear wench in danger!
happy unbirthday serine!
Because this is a strictly-het otome game. Yuri and yaoi games are an entirely different cans of worms.
What brand of worms-in-a-can is that?
The kind that leaves you frustrated and furious because a good number of them don't portray same-sex relationships realistically and it's generally only done to cater to fetishes. There's a reason I fell out of the yaoi crowd despite the fact I still ship same-sex pairings. You'll occasionally find a gem, but that's after a lot of searching.
I've gotta say, the "everyone's orientation is protagonistsexual" approach is sounding better all the time. I want more dating games with decent options with more than one gender. Decent, non-creepy, non-fetish-y options. (And more trans characters who aren't played for laughs or tragedy, dammit.)
This. All of this. For the love of all that is pure and good in the world, this.
Tali y u no like girl shepard I love u~ ;A;
Oh man, I started reading this thread a couple days ago. I saw 41 pages and thought "They must be half way through the next route by now! (I hope it's Alan's!)" ROFL! XD
So, hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick!) I've been lurking around, going through old LPs for the past month or so. (I would say that sounds creepy/stalkery, but that seems to be status quo around here, so.... ヽ( ´▽`)ノ )
Anyway.... one more vote for Trust Alan. (^_^)
Phenixmirage! And yes, that's pretty much the norm, don't worry.
Hello there! Welcome to the fourm~ I'm too new to welcome people
[Insert generic greeting here], Phenixmirage! Looks like you'll fit in just fine!
I'm not even a month old on here but MY RANK IS BERSERKER I'M ALLOWED TO NOW //WIELDS AXE
I tried to find a suitable welcome gif but this is about 20% cooler so
YES! The hat will be mine! :D
You love hats, you'll fit right in.
ROMANCE ALL THE HATS
I LIKE THIS SUGGESTION. LET'S MAKE A GAME OUT OF IT!
Or rather, let's start a thread. There needs to be a hat appreciation thread on this forum, anyway.
/dons research cap/
1. So, fetish-y how? (I'm not going anywhere near yuri/yaoi stuff because copulation is awkward.)
2. Say, hypothetically, I was thinking about adding romance options to a couple of the best friend girl options in one of my games, any preferences for relationship dynamics, types, etc?
Fetishy in the Girl-on-Girl/Guy-on-Guy Is Hot variety of I don't want this in my game. If I want a same-sex option, I want a relationship, not just "YAY TWO PEOPLE OF THE SAME GENDER MAKING OUT!"
And that really depends on if your Protagonist has a defined personality or not and what idea you have for the best friend girl options.
1. Read a bunch of slash fiction! Then don't do that.
*coughs* Or, more helpfully... there is, as Randissimo says above, a strong tendency in these games to play same-sex relationships in a way that makes it clear they're for the titillation of the opposite sex. I'm much more interested in seeing people interact in relationships that are more like real people do, and less likely creepy wank fodder. I mean, there's a place for creepy wank fodder, but...it shouldn't be the sum total of all the portrayals in media, y'know? Or even in the subset of media that "games with dating components" comprise.
2. As such, I'm looking for relationship dynamics that work the way real people do. With room for heightened exaggeration because Fiction, sure, but no less realistic than--ha--any of the heterosexual romances are. The best way to do that is to write characters as if they're People first, and as People Who Aren't Straight as one of their characteristics, rather than their primary characteristic. Design a person who might be in a relationship with someone! Have them be a relationship option! That it happens to be same-sex rather than opposite-sex should--especially in a game I'm playing for fun, not to deal with Real Life Problems--be fairly incidental.
I see. Thanks~
//dons game-making hat, opens Ren'Py
This shall either be like Hatoful but with hats, or won't make it past the coding stage!
Can I make a suggestion for the love-potential?
THE ALMIGHTY SORTING HAT
Seeing as I've managed to accidentally derail this thread, does anyone have any hat requests for this game-which-may-not-be-finished?
Maybe it should be a school for hats. Then the sorting hat would have to be the teacher love interest...
I think he'd be either a film noir protagonist or a douchebag. Either one fits, really.
What have I started.
I demand a Top Hat or a Bowler Hat. And a Newsboy Cap.
Can we romance glasses instead?
Then I ask for Indiana Jones's hat to be romanceable. His route is the steamy, adventurous one.
That's the fedora route.
Still no to glasses, though?
