With the success of Operation Incendiary Wardrobe Hellchild, we've managed to recover a good number of alien corpses and weapon fragments.





We've also been rewarded 4 Canadian scientists as thanks.

Unfortunately, panic has risen across Asia and South America thanks to unchecked alien activity.

On brighter news however, there's a whole bunch of promotions for the squad!



Congratulations to Dr. Doofenshmirtz for both surviving his first mission as well as being our first male Heavy.



Accompli has also been climbing the Heavy ranks, and may now choose to specialise in one of the following:

Bullet Swarm
Firing the primary weapon as the first action no longer ends the turn.

Holo-targeting
Shooting at or suppressing enemies also confers +10 Aim to any allies’ attacks on those enemies.



Sofaer also performed admirably and has been accorded the rank of Sergeant. Whilst he's already expressed his preference for specialisation, I figured I'd still cover this for the sake of completion:

Lightning Reflexes
Force the first reaction shot against this unit each turn to miss.

Close and Personal
Confers +30% critical chance against adjacent targets. The bonus declines with distance from the target.

Shocked by the tv feed, she pulls off her glasses and rubs her eyes, then gets up to look closer.

"What the fuck is happening now!? Did they just launch a multi-front offensive? Wha... What do we do? We're not big enough, or funded enough to handle this!"

What's going on? Why's everyone so worried about the tiny flat humans being attacked by the relatively bigger but still rather flat thing?

Toni facepalms and shakes her head. "Grantaire, these boxes are projectors which can show things that are happening right now around the world. That is happening. It's real."

Most the base was glued on the livestream of various disasters being reported throughout the globe.









































So uh...any volunteers?

Toni's given up explaining what she's seeing to the drunken copanion, but her arms are firmly planted around Grantaire, holding him close as a soothing teddybear as she watches the images in horror. All she can do is gape and shake her head.

"I'll go! For god's sake, send me with..."

I will join mlle. Antonia if my wounds are sufficiently healed. It is up to Grantaire if he wishes to come along.

Considering my current... attachment, I don't really think it is a choice. Just promise me, Toni, you'll stop hugging me long enough to shoot at something if we go. Good aim is scarce enough as it is.

... but we should probably save the flat.men. It's hard to even hold a bottle if you're flat. On the plus side, you become a lot harder to hit.

"What?" Toni lets go, looking a little taken aback. "I wasn't going to stay that way on the mission, I was just feeling a little insecure... When they showed the American feed, I recognize some of those places Grantaire. It's all so much more powerful than us, I don't udnerstand how we can win this..." She sighs and gets up to prepare herself for a mission, counting on the Commander to send her in.

Abigail would go, but uh infirmary. So there is much sulking, instead, because she's not allowed to shoot things in the infirmary, and that there looks like some PRIME shooting stuff opportunity.
