Operation Rose Adorned Tyrant (Part 5)



With the Sectoids down, the group is free to advance towards the downed ship.



The ship in sight, Sofaer and Banana hear what they believe to be alien activity within.



Approaching the ship, Sofaer confirms that we're definitely not alone here.



Sofaer and Landis get ready to storm the front entrance whilst Banana leads Amanohashi and Wakatsuki towards the Western entrance.



As the least experienced member, Amanohashi sets up Overwatch whilst Banana and Landis position themselves next to the door.



Sounds like our alien friend is in the next room.



Opening the door, the team spots a familiar ball of energy.







If I didn't hate these guys for taking Pavel from us, I would have thought they look hella cool.



Knowing he's outnumbered, the ship commander quickly bunkers in, readying himself for a protracted firefight.



Landis however is having none of that, and storms into the room, dodging his shots in the process.







That was for Paval, bitch.



Surprisingly, there weren't too many alien defenders this time round. Quite a few of them must have perished when this thing crash lander.



Also, the team's successful mission earned Landis, Amano and Wakatsuki some shiny new promotions!

Tiny Landis in that water thing that we can't eat is pretty damned effective, isn't she?

Every mission the boys go on, Landis is always waiting for them when they walk off that transport. Landis would probably hold Drunktaire right now! Except she's disembarking alone, and disappointedly goes to wash the alien gunk off herself, still jittering from her sort-of revenge for Pavel.

She sighs and walks off silently.

Our recent successes have left the team in high spirits.



Wondering round the base, I found that Enjolras had yet again dragged Grantaire away from the bar and off to fitness training.



Also, Sofaer was totally showing off his hair to a bunch of bald interns.

Even better however, is the fact that we've got promotions to dole out!



As a lieutenant, Landis can pick one of the following:

HEAT Ammo
Confers +100% damage against robotic enemies.

Rapid Reaction
Confers a second reaction shot if on Overwatch and the first reaction shot is a hit.



Moving up to the rank of Corporal, Wakatsuki's choices are as follows:

Tactical Sense
+5 Defense per enemy in sight (Max +20).

Aggression
Confers +10% critical chance per enemy in sight (Max +30%).



Finally, Amanohashi has been promoted and given the role of a Support Soldier. He has requested a photobook of Grantaire-chan as a reward. I have yet to hear from Grantaire his opinions on this.

I'll let you hear back when you tell me how drunk I am allowed to be at the time.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a redheaded conquering heroine who's earned a hug and an apology because I got the time of her getting back home wrong.
