Lets Hunt Witches: TINY HUNT (mafia)

Oh I have no better idea than anyone else that isn't a witch. One reason is as good as another at this point, and my reason is one that has been nagging me since the beginning. So I am running with my gut here. Sorry if that isn't good enough, but it feels better than randomly picking someone who hasn't been active.

I don't know. There is no exact method here. I just think that bluedaffy's recent absence could mean they've not been able to come online at all in the last few days, and it doesn't mean they are necessarily a witch. As for being talkative, do we have any better leads at the moment? It's just really hard to tell what things are suspicious. I don't have solid justification for suspecting Nate, no. But I'd like to know why you don't think he's a witch.

It's best to be direct in a game like this, IMO.

Demon: Each night, you are informed of who the Priest and Oracle visited, but not who visited which player.

We're already giving the witches this information via the Demon (unless fauxgirlfriend was the Demon). This way, townies get to know who the priest visited too.

Or in case their not active - Like if they are BlueDaffy for instance.

Hmmm. That would mean that when we do the pie vote, we should also be voting on who should be investigated too. Wouldn't that mean that the witches in our midst would get a chance to sway the population (and by extension the priest) away from investigating them?

Right, hence the conundrum. Either we make the target public knowledge and allow the witches to sway it, or we keep it private and allow the witches to know when they've been investigated.

More known information for town is always good. Being able to see the process allows more chances for the witches to slip up.

Under the status quo, the priest has to tread even more carefully to avoid being a target. He can't accuse at all, since the witches will be on the lookout after they are investigated. If everyone knows when everyone is investigated, it allows more cover for bluffing and double-bluffing.

Makes sense.

What do others think? Is the benefits of the witches redirecting investigations worth the risks?

I think he's a witch trying to influence we townies.

I'm worried that the priest will be in more danger this way, but it's still a pretty good plan.

That's a possibility, yes. But putting up the target of investigation up to a public vote WOULD get more people talking in a productive way, and we could potentially pinpoint culprits based on the way they vote (or don't) for a pie target. Of course, the witches would know that as well, so...

Here's an idea for more information: why don't we all just reveal our roles? Then we can look at the ones who double up on a role, investigate them, and then find the witches. Sure would reduce the targets. Of course, this would have been better before anyone died.

And then we would all get soup-killed tonight. :<

You know what's going to be great? When the game ends and we're both not witches.

Huh, that's closer than I thought. Will switch to bluedaffy if somebody else wants to switch with me. We don't even know if the judge or vig are still alive.

Sorry all, my son has come of age and decided following in his Pa's footsteps as the town's resident racist drunk wasn't good enough, no, he want to be a hero. So I've had to take the boy down to the old wizard Magill in the mountains, to get his origin story- I'm home now, but the child is incompetent, he has left his sword at home so I will have to go all the way back, which may take me a week, and you know, there's no wifi in the mountains.

(Or, I am going on holiday! Woo hoo. But I don't know if I will have computer/internet access until the 17th. Sorry! If this is too annoying feel free to knock me off in that time. But also, don't, because I am awesome, and totally not a witch.)

I agree with what Anabanana here. If you don't get lynched (because I really don't think you're a witch), maybe find a replacement.

Alright friends, on my visit to old wizard Magill he gave me some....information. You understand, revealing the nature of this information is dangerous for me, so I will just give you the gist-

This was a risk on my part, I may get lynched now or killed tonight, but if this happens, remember to protect* those I named!

And don't worry about the soup kill, its more dangerous for the witch, I think. They already know who all the townies are. I think they would only do it if they're at risk of getting lynched anyway.

By sure, you mean absolutely sure? As in, it's a role thing and not something you're guessing at because of our posts? Not that I'm trying to figure out what your sources are, I just don't know if what you say about being certain about our innocence is possible (for a townie, at least).

Maybe I'm absolutely sure about one of those I named, and this is my way of letting that townie now I'm also a townie, without giving the witches a definite night kill target (because once we all decide to definitely not lynch someone, night kill is the only way for the wicthes to kill off that townie)

Maybe I'm a witch and I'm saving myself by using the above ^ reasoning to gain your trust.

Maybe I just have a hunch about Nate, because I'm sure I'm a townie, and it would have been very easy for him to go along with the crowd and kill me off if he was a witch. But he didn't. So he is either a townie, or else very good at this game.

You know what, this makes sense, like I said earlier in response to Nate's post. Of the people who bandwagon'd earlier, the only person who's still in the running for lynchdom is Matthew Schempp. Hence:
