There are 15 movies by now. The 14th movie actually had two versions - one for Zekrom, one for Reshiram - but they're largely the same movie.
FUCK YES VHS!
Guys, let's do it.
TO THE STREAM THREAD
Please somebody make this happen
All the Pokémons.
Gotta watch them all.
What day? I've been meaning to catch up on all of the movies I missed. (I think I stopped at around Pokemon Heroes or so...)
If whoever decides to stream the Pokémon movies also streams the plot-less monster that is Digimon: The Movie, I will mail you an envelope filled with money.
We must plan this!
Sadly, my current ISP has a weird problem with me streaming, so I can't show you the second (FLOATING SEXY SKY VILLAIN CATCHING BIRDS) and the third (SEXY ENTEI VOICE AND WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE) movies just yet. I'm switching ISPs next month, though!
THAT MOVIE. ;_; <3
AND STREAM, YES PLEASE. WHEN, WHERE, HOW
I'll see if I can dig up the first season somewhere. That shit barely had filler and it was awesome.
Slightly belated but man I didn't even SEE a computer until I was in college, so I feel simultaneously old and young looking at all the game nostalgia.
Of course unlike most people I grew up on a farm in rural Idaho that didn't even have running water half the time so.
Watching the first season of Pokémon legitimately replaced movie night for my family.
Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon...
My parents told me when I was little I used to sit in front of our Pokemon poster and list all 151 to anyone who passed by.
Somehow, I do not doubt them.
And on an unrelated/related note, sorry it took so long to update~ I was busy doing homework~ ... And by homework I mean otome games~ ... And by otome I mean blowing into the microphone of my DS to clear away the smoke to better spy on my crush while he's showering~ Duel Love is actually a very maidenly game! I swear!
So then Ears is like "NOWAI rlly?!" and darling darling please is like
I feel betrayed.
-- How do you know our name.
I'm watching you. You graduated from (P)lanets, didn't you?! Just like Mariko! And Man! Are you their brother?! Does your name start with Ma, too?!
I can't breathe, send help, laughing too hard, I forgot about the name we gave Ears.
Sorry, I'm a Sony fan XD Anyway luckily I could play with consoles during my childhood, I had a gameboy at 6, then the SEGA Mega Drive 2 around that age, and finally the playstation reached my house when I was 10 and my whole life changed <3 I must thank my brothers that would rent games for me (if you finish a game in less than a week it's cheaper than buying it) and so I played tons of games XD
But yeah, computers had those awesome point-and-click games that I loved and I could only play when I was at my cousin's
I just wanna say I loved the freaky hybrid that is Digimon The Movie. In my defense, I was like 10 and consumed 14 hours a day of television, I was not what you call a connoisseur.
Men, it's been so long since I watched anything Pokemon, the nostalgia makes me unable to enjoy it, since EVERYTHING WAS BETTER IN MY DAYS! /old people rant
Also I miss Ash hat. The original hat, the one he sent like a million postcards to get. It was special! Now his hat is just some hipster design. His jacket was cool too, why is it any 'cool' character must wear a hoodie and loose pants? Even CEREAL MASCOTS can't wear a pilot jacket now [which is way cooler], it's all hoodies and skateboards (not kidding, that is actually something they did to cereal brand here).
That is not Ash. That is an imposter. He would never let go of his hat./denial
... I need to play that game.
Oh hey, are we being nostalgic in here? Cos back in my day, we only had 150 Pokemon! 151 if you counted Mew, which I didn't until the movie, because he was not under that truck. I checked.
Actually, I was around for the second generation too. That was the hypest shit. Pikablu! I've lost count of them now, though. I played through my little brother's copy of Pearl once, and half the time it was just, "What the fuck is that thing?"
Anyway, back to this game...does everyone have annoying speech habits? Jaja thinks he's a lolcat, and this guy talks like a valley girl. (Wait, now I'm imaging that he sounds like Lumpy Space Princess, so it's a little better.)
My only complaint (besides being completely unable to understand anything besides "yes," "no," "thanks," "good morning," and "I love you" because I can't read Japanese at all) is that you cannot romance anyone besides the main five and the secret character. Hot blonde doctor ;-; Derp-eyed homeroom teacher ;-; Twins ;-;
How is he not a valley girl? He even have the fake tan down pat.
I loved it, too, but you have to admit that when they smash 3 different Digimon movies together and pour some hip-hop over the top any semblance of a plot went right out the window.
Also, Marlain, I'm onto you.
I must confess I never really watched Digimon for the plot. No, not quite. I think it was mostly the hair? People had craaazy hair on this thing. And then because of the constant ship tease (between Tai and Matt, of course, and not between The Bitch Who Shall Not Be Named. I like her hat, it's her finest quality.)
I just watched some videos on youtube and just... I don't know what to say XD It's interesting and disturbing at the same time XD
Mmhm~ Significantly less boy-touching than expected, though. There's just three instances of tending to wounds, I believe, one instance of wiping the sweat off their bodies, one instance of massaging their back, one instance of peeping in the shower, three instances of just plain riding a bicycle next to him while he runs, and three instances of shouting "GET UP YOU FUCKING PANSY" at him. I mean, just judging by Shinichiro's route. Other routes may or may not include more boy-touching.
(This is something kind of off topic, but I kind of feel like getting this off my chest.
When I saw the word Gaussian in the topic title, I thought you were going to be romancing mathematicians...)
FREDDI!! Those were my absolute favorite computer games as a child! I remember my family was just starting to switch over from Windows to Macs (why Dad, why did you do that?), so half my games were on this ultra fancy emac which was blue and sooo hi-tech and the other half could only be played on our idon'tevenknowhowold beige colored-takes twenty minutes to start up-super old windows.
I also had Pajama Sam for the superoldwindows, and this series of games that included like "I want to be a wildlife vet!" and "I want to be a dinosaur researcher!" and the like. And later some leapfrog stuff that was fun too.
Being younger than about all of you, this was around 2003-2005 when I was like 7-9 years old. My first consul was a GameBoy Advance which I only got as a Christmas present because my cousins got ones and my parents didn't want me to be jealous. I was more interested in my dinosaurs. It was such a hard thing to play on since the screen was dark and I had to play it under the lamp in my room. I then saw my cousins had GameBoy Advance SPs with lightup screens and they could open and close and I wanted one so bad, but my parents said no until finally I got my pink DS lite (now named Hime) and went and shoved in their faces like see I have a better game consul than you hahahaha look how little the cartriges are and I can play both kinds of games now. The only TV consul I've ever had was a Wii. By the time I actually got into gaming, 64's were a thing of the past.
Also, the only pokemon movie I own is pokemon 2000 with Lugia and the three birds and the pretty music. My favorite one, however will always be Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, because I had a crush on Lucario or Sir Aaron or maybe both of them, and it was the first time pokemon had made me cry; that movie was so SAD and I think I have to go rewatch it now.
I cried so much guys, you don't even know.
Ah, that movie made Riley my favorite DPPt character.
Yes, I think I mentioned this somewhere else, but, after I beat Diamond, I would go to the battle tower every day and do a partner battle with Riley over and over, and pretend we were dating. He was so gentlemanly. And fashionable and that hat and then somehow Lucario became my absolute favorite pokemon ever.
EDIT: Sorry guys it seems that my image vanished for a bit but IT HAS RETURNED! ALONG WITH A NEW AVATAR!
Guys. I just started watching that movie and... and Lucario apparently has the pokemon version of byakugan and then... then Sir Aaron with his amazing and his crystals and I'm just squealing softly to myself and it's only five minutes into the movie. This is going to take a while since I'm pausing every five seconds to squee at the awesome.
You had me at pokemon beyblades. I fucking loved that show back in the day.
Ah, never mind, my poor malnourished mind is seeing things. Carry on.
So, I'm just wondering, but what shippings is Riley a part of?
ALL OF THEM. Just kidding, I don't even know. But the internet works in mysterious ways, so it's veeeeery possible.
Riolu's my favorite! He's just slightly cuter than lucario, but both are awesome.
Have a picture of him eating. It's the only one I could fined okay? *cries*
I'm also behind-ish on the game curve. One of my neighbors sold us a N64 back in about 2000-ish (we only owned Mario Kart and Goldeneye 007) then we got a Game Cube and PS2 over the course of the next few years... then we never got any home consoles since then, but my dad's been pondering getting the WiiU at some point; however, that's gonna be sometime later. I'm more of a portable gamer because they're just so much more convenient. Despite having games in my life since I was about 7, I didn't become a "gamer" until a few years ago. My library of games expanded a great deal in the past few years.... So much money...
Oh man, Pajama Sam, that was my fucking childhood right there. That and Oregon Trail variants and Carmen Sandiego and the nth Grade Adventures. And Baulder's Gate and The Longest Journey because parents were super lax in those days and didn't scan for violence/swearing/hookers/the fucking GRIBBLER I could never play through her on my own because she was GODDAMN TERRIFYING.
I can't really remember much of what my first online games were. There was a really fun Arthur CD-ROM game, another couple CD-ROM thingamajiggers on this kid's show I can't remember the name of but there was like this giant blue big-eared I don't know what it was and a giant pink creature of the same species and song and dance, and also I think there was sometime I played every day that was "Mickey's Art Studio" or something...? I was really crushed after discovering that my artwork was no longer animated after printing.
So~ Class ends and Ears takes a peek at his schedule to see where his next (and last) class for the day is~
I pity the petty thief who is forced to sell paper on the black market.
-stares at intensely- ... Okay, fine, I forgive you~ I mean you really should work on controlling your kleptomania but I must admit it's a good thing you grabbed As a Dutchman AND an art student, I can safely say that Van Gogh didn't cut off his entire ear, and he didn't do it to get to an elite art school, either. Van Gogh was delusional and thought he was being stalked by one of his fellow artists. During a trip to France, Van Gogh stalked said artist with a razor one day, then cut off one of his own earlobes and gave it to a prostitute "for safe-keeping" after wrapping it in a newspaper. He never saw the artist again, and later tried to drink a quart of turpentine in his studio after which he was put in the asylum.'s paper and any inappropriate body parts.
... So you're gonna give it back, right?
You shouldn't apologize for reading quickly?
If you know what I mean.
So can we have our schedule back now?
Marlain, stop calling my only talent dorky!
Very... Very different... -stares at hips-
Your finger may be pretty stuck up and your hands are kleptomaniac but oh hey if we cut off your limbs this just might work. ... ... ... Wait, what the hell, brain?
Of course, of course~
Depending on how fast you read, darling, a magazine is a a ten minute read. You must read a lot of magazines to train your eyes XD
