After sleeping its nice and light outside. The daily loan installment is due soon and we've got more than enough.



Another hour on the autobahn puts us to within 300 kilometers of Praha. Then we turn onto a smaller road with curves and other dangerous features.



Another victim of Von Karma.

Simple minded peasant drivers should watch where they are going.

I'm stuck behind this two cars for what seems like ages. After awhile I decide to go around.



Signs are overrated.



You can see how long the lineup got to be before I decided to make my own path. Stupid yellow car.



The engine is still stalling. Can't really get up past 50 km/h with regularity.



Wait? What is that in the distance?



Holy shit train tracks!

This long nightmare of a voyage is almost over. Now entering the Czech Republic.



Another engine failure.



Inclines are too much for my engine to handle at this point. Too bad I need to ascend this hill to reach the yard.



Almost there.



Wait, NO!



Dammit.



At the very least I can park the dynamite before explaining why everything is so beat up.



Well nevermind. Guess BP doesn't have any issues with my terrible driving and reckless endangerment of other drivers. Go figure.



Level 6 now. I'm going to try and get into just-in-time deliveries now.

You know, you probably shouldn't try to be a battering ram when you're carrying a load of explosives...just saying...

Actually, here's an interesting question. Does the game actually model the fragility / volatility / etc of different cargoes?

If it does, Von Karma would be already high up in the outer space with this cargo...

No, no. That's the best time to play battering ram. The most exciting time.

A trucking simulator shouldn't be this hilarious.

Almost all the damage I took went to my truck and not the trailer. That's why the damage penalty was so low. Don't think anything horrible would happen if I flipped the trailer one or two times.

Time to get to Praha. Von Karma needs to repair the truck and go to sleep.



The truck stalls only once before we get out onto the road.



Though I'm within 50 kilometers of Praha it takes forever to get there. First we had to queue over some track.



Then a train kept me from moving.



Finally! That's five minutes I'll never get back.



Need to repair.



Took a lot of damage hauling that dynamite. The total bill comes to just under €10,000. Hefty damage report.



To console myself I pimp out the truck with new parts. See if you can spot them all!



Now sleep.

A truck full of dynamite. An engine that keeps stalling. Train tracks. And not one incident of stalling on the train tracks? I call shenanigans, Euro Truck Simulator 2! False advertising!

I'm seeing new "high" beams, mood lighting down below (the other kids at the illegal truck street racing syndicate are gonna be totes jealous), and some new tires and rims (they're totally spinners, right?)

Correct about the new lights, the new lower light bar, and the wheels. There are three other changes to be named.

Just noticed the two bar thingies protecting the gas tank. In fact, gas tank looks a bit different too (might just be the angle, though). And is that a slightly different sun visor I spot?

Aside form that, I'm playing this too, though I started in Paris...
I've crashed like a million times and completed almost 4 deliveries...
I'm scared of rain because I can't turn on the "windshield wiper" (blame Google traductor for this)...and I don't know if I shall be glad or terrified that I recognize some of the places you've been while I play...That's all I wanted to say...oh and I already delivered fertilizer and failed horribly (crashing and doing a barrel roll)

The gas tank does indeed have new side skirts. The sun visor hasn't changed though.

Pah, wait until it sends you to UK. We drive on the RIGHT side of the road (which happens to be the LEFT) Your repair bill will be so high

Seen above you can see that Von Karma has now been trucking on her lonesome for 5,000 kilometers. It's quite a milestone - though we are jumping a little ahead here - and that means we need to commemorate it somehow.

Let's name the truck. I'll replace the 4THREICH placard with the new name. Eight characters maximum.

Vaterland is too long. Damned.

My suggestion will be ACHTUNG!

It's a callback to Dark Souls, the other obsession on this forum. The game throws a towering demon at you that may very well kill you instantly (numerous times), after letting you find your way out of dark, undead-infested corridors.

After defeating the demon and feeling pretty well-chuffed with yourself, the game smacks you upside the head with a terse note: "The real Dark Souls begins here.", letting you know that was merely a glorified tutorial.

Oooooooh, I get it now! Pardon me for my ignorance!

Third this.

I'll be going this. I'm changing it to WHPESGUT to account for the lack of letter accents and to make better in German.

Having made some money it's time for a short vacation. For now Von Karma is going south.



Towards Bratislava! The capitol of Slovakia is an important easternly route down towards Wien and should be opened up if only to see the cargo which shows up there.



Now entering Slovakia.



The first semi I see in Slovakia is carrying tractors. Take that as you will.



When I get to Bratislava I decide to go to North Africa. I'm going to haul a load of rice to Verona in order to actually afford this trip.

Eventually Von Karma gets her hands on the shipment of rice. It was within a dull plain blue container. BORING!



It takes far too long to get out of Bratislava.



My route will take us past Vienna (Wien) and past Klangenfurt before heading south into Italy.



Heading into the Republik Österreich. Awwww yeah!



Look at that! It's a barn!



You call this a dual carriageway?



Austria is full of foolishness. No wonder the Fuhrer went to Germany.



This is a good piece of road. Mountains and trees all around. Surely I can go a little faster.



Nope.

The road to Klagenfurt is both wonderful and dangerous.



At some point I should stop and repair. The bill is rapidly increasing due to a variety of small errors such as car clippings.



Before leaving Austria Von Karma takes a nap.



The awakens to darkness.



So this became a bloody nightcap.



Here's the route. Past Klagenfurt we are on the road into Italy.

The last bit of Austria is wonderfully fast. Too bad that encourages me to pass.

It ends mercifully as Von Karma gets onto the roads towards Venezia.



Another way-station passes us by. Not going to fill up on gas just yet.



At this point last night I just wanted to sleep. It was such a good simulation that I had to soldier on.

CSL, you're actually making this game seem pretty appealing. If I hadn't just made a lifetime commitment LPing a game that WILL last my lifetime, I would see about getting this.

Night is ending. Still liking this pre-dawn twilight sky.



Next exit will bright us to the end of our rice run.



Excellent. I'm now at level 7 and Von Karma's Express is now over €15,000 richer.



Time to get some even longer routes. I'm now able to haul cargo 900 kilometers. That is really far.

I should note that I'm thinking this LP will end within a week or so. I have some routes and adventures I want to do, but I have no intention of really building a trucking empire with multiple garages and a bevy of weird looking drivers.
