... The sad thing is that's what really happens: a female character does something morally ambiguous? She must die in a fire! A pretty boy does something morally ambiguous? OMG, how cool he is!! Yeah, that was maybe a bad thing to do if you look at it from a certain point of view but I'm sure he is misunderstood and only needs the love of a good woman to fix him!!! That's at least the fandom reaction of most tv shows or books every single time. :(

I guess it's tied to the double standard of violence. A female character getting slapped is violence, a male character getting slapped is in good fun, as a general rule. Both that and the aforementioned standard gets turned around sometimes, but it's often very writer dependent.

Completely true, but it can't be helped sometime - for example, if a guy makes a mean remark I can just write him off as insensitive jerk, but if a girl does that, she's a bitch, which is more way more annoying for me, possibly due to over exposure. Also it's a well known fact people would let many thing slide for people they find attractive. It's a stupid but natural behavior. I act this way too - but hey, at least I'm aware of it, so that's something, isn't it?

At least here in Brazil, there's also this: When a guy go out with a lot of girls, he's oh so cool. If a girl go out with a lot of guys, she's a whore.

My bed is the best hairdresser all over the world.

I woke up and went to the mirror expecting a pile of dung instead of hair, but instead, I found the most wonderful hairstyle I've ever had. I wish I could just wake up like this everyday.

My bedhead is my hair going curvy. And then gravity hits and it's back to smooth. Might weigh enough it bothers my back, but I can't complain about my hairstyle being high maintenance.

My hair is curvy. Usually, when I wake up, it's a complete piece of shit. I like my hair, but he's a bitch sometimes, mainly when I wash it right before going to bed.

Mine's only a mess when it comes to deciding what hue it wants to be. As baby I had black hair (which then fell off), as a toddler I had natural platinum blonde hair, and then over the years it seems to have decided to start working its way back to black or at least brown. It's hit medium blonde in most cases, but if I grab a wad right I sit there with natural yellow highlights. I have to admit I am curious to see where it's going to end up. If one day I have black hair again, I am going to laugh.

EDIT: To be honest I'm okay with whatever it wants to do. I just try not to spend too much time caring about it because Hugo taught me if you love your hair you'll end up having to sell it and then die of tuberculosis.
