... I'm really curious about Ginnosuke now.
The weather's been terrible here lately... I hadn't gone to school for a few days, but the moment I step outside it's -10 c. I slipped and hurt my knees, I'm freezing my butt off and worst of all, my coat's super big comfy pockets got torn ;_; /miserable
On the other hand, most of my teachers seem to be sick or mysteriously absent??? So I get to go home early anyway. It feels like a prologue to a mystery novel or something...

Ooooh, can I join in on bitching about the weather? I mean, it's not THAT bad here - I mean there is lots of snow but that's normal for this time of the year .. doesn't mean I hate it any less though! Sometimes I spend two hours in the morning shoveling so our driveway is clear - just to do the same in the evening again because there was so much snow during the day. But if I didn't do it in the morning AND the evening there would be so much snow that it would be impossible for us to even get out of the driveway with our cars. I just .. really hate snow. I like it at christmas because for me christmas and snow belong together and it doesn't feel like christmas for me when there is no snow but other than that? No thanks!

I was thankfull for it though when I was still in school and could stay at home (sometimes a few days in a row) because there was so much snow, hehehehe. :D

I also just bought Ginnosuke's route (I can't help myself .. I always have the urge to buy ALL the routes :P) I'm curious about him too since I know absolutely nothing about him (except his CGs which I've already seen on tumblr) .. but I guess that's nice for a change (or not .. depends on how he turns out as a character!) ;)

Huh, here's something interesting. Apparently, in the Japanese version of this game, they've released "Another Story" version of the character's routes, where the affair/divorce situations are switched. So, you pursue Aiba and Genji while still initially being married, and you pursue Ebihara and Kiyoto after divorcing Koichi. Looks like they're full 13 chapter routes, just like the main routes, too.

Playing Ginnosuke's route with that would make him almost my favorite route. Except Ebi-chan. Ebi-chan is the best.

Huh. It's funny you say that, because I've never experienced a snowy Christmas in my entire life (granted, I never experienced snow at all).
Christmas here happens in summer so it's always around 30 degrees C (86 degrees Fahrenheit, according to Google) or up.

Yeah, I guess it's because I've always had a "white christmas" so to say - or at least most of them were snowy ones ;) I grew up with it and it's "normal" for me so it's hard to imagine not having snow at christmas or not having any snow at all - although right now I am jealous of you .. 30°C sound heavenly .. mmmh :D I really want to do nothing more than pack my bags and go somewhere, anywhere warm and sunny when there's so much snow :O It's actually snowing again right now and probably will snow the whole night - I dread the moment I step out of the house tomorrow and see new masses of snow :(

The guy in 5th place is Genji's brother, Soji.

And I guess the guy in last is a very new character (hence the much lower score). He's a friend of Koichi's, apparently.

Also I'm now even more curious about Koichi and how he redeems himself - must be a hell of a redemption he pulls off to make people like him given he is in 3rd place on this poll? Either that or the people that voted like cheating jerks? We'll see I guess ;)

It's Ginnosuke, the guy whos route came out yesterday in English! Can't say more about him because I haven't had a chance to play yet.

From what I remember of it, Tome-chan's guesses are pretty accurate! Ebi-chan's all aw-shucks "thank you for the honor," Aiba's thrilled to have made it all the way to second place. Koichi is straight up baffled that 'a guy like me' got as many votes as he did, Genji is shocked and incredulous that he lost to his own brother (seriously, it was something to the effect of "I lost to Soji..." XD), and if I remember correctly Ginnosuke's line is something about "you don't understand my mature appeal."

Oh, yeah, looking closely, I do see the character in Soji's name over in what Genji is saying. Hah!

Poor baby Genji.

Oh hey I can kinda help here! Kinda. I can read the hiragana/katakana and kinda identify kanji radicals so if nothing else I can at least type this up for y'all's babelfishing delight. I made a pass at translations too and they match up fairly well with what Joie said from what I can see. :D

Now that you say this, I think it was something like 'my time has finally come!' in the translation that I saw.

That would make sense since 俺の is something 'of me' or 'of I'. I had thought maybe it was something like:
2nd?! The Era of Aiba is now! or The Era of Aiba shall be soon! (implying he would beat Ebi-chan which ha yeah right)

But that sounded too ridic... Oh Aiba.

And thus we learn that nothing is too ridiculous for Aiba. :D

Yeah, we usually have snow by Christmas, but it's gotten weird these past years. We get snow in October that melts the moment it touches the ground, a green christmas and a white easter... This year was completely normal though. Last year we didn't get snow, but it rained a lot and all the water froze on christmas eve, so everything was covered in ice!

I really hate snow too, aaaugh. I live in an apartment building so I don't have to worry about shoveling, but the moment I stepped outside I got a fever... I felt terrible yesterday, but after a night of dreaming about battling demons from supernatural(I COULDN'T REMEMBER HOW TO DRAW THE DEVIL'S TRAP PENTAGRAM AAAA), I'm healthy again!

I don't even wanna think about the fact that there could be snow even at easter .. but we even have snow in June sometimes! Well, not where I live (thank god) but last year parts of Austria had snow in June .. nope, do not want! I just want summer (or at least warmer weather) to hurry up and be here already! Yesterday I was actually unable to see my car because there was so much snow that it was buried under it .. spent half an hour to get it out of the snow. Then a few more hours shoveling the rest of the snow .. fun times. Ugh, I could really bitch about how much I really hate snow right now for ages D:

I also finally started playing Ginnosuke's route today - I'm just at chapter 6 or so, but I am liking him already .. I mean he loves cats and that is something that makes me instantly like someone :D Normally I don't go for the 'older' guys but in his case I don't mind ;) Koichi is still the jerk he usually is but maybe that will change?! Haven't read any of the spoilers so I don't know what happens .. but I am curious what will happen in the next few chapters!

Oh, I heard about those, too! :D I'm really intruiguied by those Another Story routes... especially Aiba's.

Because I heard that the reason why Aiba made it all the way to 2nd place in the popularity contest was because his "Another Story" route was...seriously touching and almost as emotional as Ebi-chan's Normal route.
(Seriously Japan, why do you love the Affair routes more than the Divorced routes is it the angst/ the drama that you love, perhaps?)

Oh yeah, and it doesn't look like Koichi has his own "Another Story". Hmmm. ._.

On one hand, I like that there are so many different Voltage games in English. On the other hand, I weep because it means we get the different parts to each game more slowly because they have so many to cycle through updates with.

I'm not sure how "Another Story" with Koichi would work, since his route ISN'T an affair or divorce route. Would you divorce him during it, only to reconcile and get back together? Or would the protag stay single instead of accepting the arranged marriage, and then somehow keep bumping into Koichi and have a relationship develop more naturally between them? (Which would almost make Protag-chan the "Other Woman" since Koichi would already be in a relationship when he starts dating the protag.) Hmm.

Edit: Speaking of yet-to-be-released content, since Ginnosuke was an affair route that parallels Koichi's route, I wonder if that means Soji will be a divorce route that parrallels Genji's.

...If the weather discussion aint dead. It's still summer here in Aus but we might as well get rid of seasons here all together -.- There is literally nothing different between autumn and spring and winter and summer. Apart from that trees get leaves and it's just a bit chilly in Winter. The weather changes so much it literally goes from 30 degrees one day to 15 the next and full raining (in C that is)

Sounds like Australia is Southern Hemisphere Texas. We were having such marvelous tank top weather last week and then literally overnight we had a frost and now I'm back to full wool coat, gloves and scarves. But really what we have is "Oh gawd I'm melting" in July/August then "I think my eyeballs froze" occassionally in Jan and Feb and who the hell knows the rest of the time. The only saving grace is that there's flowers and greenery EVERYWHERE for like a month in march/april. I miss SoCal with it's god I'm dying hot summer and pretty alright rest of the time.

The weather here can be summed up as 'Oh a ray of sunshine, this might be a good day after al- NOPE it's raining again." Except for the afromentioned unusual weather changes.
Britain's supposed to be even worse with the rain thing though, I have no idea how they handle it.

Speaking of weather... Here in Seattle you can get rain out of nowhere, and then it will stop in... 10 seconds or so. There's hail in one part of town, and a few blocks over it's all clear. Sometimes it's still cold all the way to the middle of July, when it's supposed to be summer. Weather, it makes no sense.

Weeelllp.... in anime you can only have a very limited range of expressions, I'll give you that. Especially when the characters don't have a significantly different design.
Goto has a wider face than Koichi and smaller eyes, though.

I actually brought that up in the My Bodyguard thread. Don't worry, his hot spring trip is totally worth it. He's wonderful, and nothing like Koichi.
