Second try, blocked by Hitomi's lack of faith in reading skill, reloaded....

But honestly, he's worth it. He's got some really good Cgs even ignoring HE WANTS TO HAVE TEA AND CHAT ABOUT BOOKS and I actually kind of like it when Love Revo flips your expectations slightly. You think it's a doofy, insenstive game about fat people and then suddenly it's about self-improvement, inspiring other people, what is faith, what is hope, your boyfriend is secretly a secret agent bodyguard...

I REALLY like how in pretty much every route what is inspiring to the guy in the end is earnestness, determination and the courage to hang on to your convictions, and there's a few routes in particular that pulls it off beautifully.

Ahhh, finally caught up. I guess spending all my time watching anime makes me miss these awesome things. I am now not sure whether I prefer Sensei or Ayato. But this game always reminds me of that one time I went to an Asian buffet and had 2 plates of savory food (rainbow rice FTW!!) and 8 plates of dessert because OH MY GOD THAT STUFF WAS DELICIOUS (and there was 2 ice cream cones on top of that). Not my healthiest night, but I've never ate that much since. Also, have a gif that I really want to use but just aren't getting any chances:

You know, there's a lot of things we can't see but we still believe in.

Temperature. Light. Air. Affection

Basically, I can believe in something I can't see because what I CAN see and experience are its effects. Anxiety, love, anger, sadness, depression, joy, irritation, etc. We can't see our emotions, but we can feel them, see their influence on our actions. We can't see a thought but we sure can see the results of them.

Or science. I can't see heat or cold, but I can feel it. Light, in and of itself isn't visible, but it DOES make the world around me visible. (Unless you're blind but then your other senses are generally sharper, so you can still experience the world without seeing it.)

So faith in God or any other deity has to do with seeing the effects and attributing them to some greater power. To some it's God, to others it's luck, to others it's Science. In the end, it all depends on what you want to believe is the cause, more than anything else.

At least, that's how I see it. Says the moron. Who also doesn't have faith in God, for those wondering, my beliefs lie elsewhere.

On a completely different note, can we make a game where we date that Eggplant? Or he's our sassy childhood friend?

But I thought this was an official translation, like I could go to Gamestop and pick up a copy for the DS I don't have. I didn't realize it was a fan translation (maybe I missed people mentioning that somewhere).

Knowing it is a fan translation, it's a really good translation! The phrasing is at times awkward but I don't think I've seen anything where it was actually hard to understand. It's on par with some official translations/already in English games tbh. I really do appreciate that you've put in the effort to give those of us who don't speak Japanese the ability to enjoy this game and that you clearly wish to do so in the best quality possible. Like seriously. *offers hugs and cookies*
