It's actually because I have a crappy integrated video card that doesn't keep skin tone consistent with what it is in Create A Sim. :D

About to start the game back up and see what happens.
Assuming that the game has just killed this ONE HOUSEHOLD'S ability to function without me obsessing over everything they do, should I keep playing with you guys aware that I CONTROL EVERYTHING ALL THE PUPPET STRINGS, should I make this an LP of the alternate household, or should I just show images from other houses?

because i don't know man i don't want this to be game over

EDIT: Yep, they're not doing anything unless I specifically tell them to. This is the only household not only in this town, but in the entire Sims 3 anything that's doing this.

You don't have an earlier savefile, do you? If not, have you tried disabling mods (one by one) and loading up the game?


Edit: I suspect your savefile is corrupted, but I don't know for sure... :\

It sounds like what happens to my games, yeah, sadly probably a corrupted save. Still, this doesn't seem to make the game unplayable and you do have a pretty good idea by now what they'd do if you did go the puppet route, right?

Can't you trick the game? Will the corruption follow the family members or is it stuck with the house itself? You could maybe move them. You make all of them move out by themselves, one by one or two, and then move them all in to a new house. But I've never played Sims 3, so I got no idea if that's even possible.

It'd still be the same "follow all of the wishes" thing, it's just a matter of them being unable to do anything for themselves.
I'll try moving everyone around to see if it is the house that was corrupted, which means I'm gonna have to cheat money into the household. 'S for a good cause, though, so it's not a big deal.

Elyscape: The problem with that method is that with the way the game and its files save, all previous versions have the same name. And I don't know exactly when this problem started, so I'd have to go through each and every save individually. That would take a very long time.

If all else fails, I can make a copy of the family in-game and then just place a new family in the world, deleting the old one. Hopefully, it should work.

I'm trying to look as far back as I can using the LP as a template to see where all of this may have started.
EDIT: WELP, it looks like the saves only go as far back as last week. And the last properly functioning post was more than a week ago. Time to try in-game things.

EDIT EDIT: From what I can tell, after moving the family and the house to another lot, it seemed to make a difference. Sims are now doing a few things on their own, which is a lot better than things were before! C:

Problem solved, guys! Just had to move the entire house and its inhabitants to a different lot! EVERYTHING IS OKAY.



so let's start this update off with alli doing some martial arts at 1 am.
Also, take note of that crystal behind her. Let me explain what that is. That is a mineral/crystal called Tiberium. Tiberium is incredibly valuable and will make both Sims and Pets nauseous if they keep it in their inventory for too long. It's also worth noting that, at random, they'll give off little sparkles and make a pretty tinkly noise.



And since it's Leisure Day in-game, I decided to have the women of the household take a trip to the beach. ...Everyone in the house is supposed to have the day off, but the game hiccuped, sooooo Alice and Ely had to go to work. :< Immediately, Bladi and Alli decided to have a balloon fight! C:

At the end of the day, Bladi got a "suntan". Which basically means "glow a funky yellow color for like a day". I put her next to Alli to compare it looks so ridiculous what made them think this would look appealing in any way

While everyone else went to bed, I had Bladi go to the club. LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO UMBRELLAS.
You have to go into buy mode and get one for each individual Sim, and they are incredibly fragile; will end up looking broken and nasty after a few uses. Luckily, you can upgrade them to be Unbreakable!

Now I point out little details from this Expansion that lets me know they have been working on it for a long, long time.



After it rains, when Sims walk, water droplets explode from each step they take. Similarly, when cars drive on the road, there's a leftover tire trail where you can see where the car went through the water.



On a high end computer, this looks absolutely amazing. Those are water droplets dripping from the roooooooffffff~~~ <333333




also these are growing and budding and i told you to keep them in mind run they've become sentient

this playthrough is teaching me things. For instance, that it makes Sims Nauseous.

This could either be very good or very bad. Probably very bad.

Also, Blackadder. \(o)/ Haven't watched too much of it myself, but I like what I've watched.

Something I wanna bring up because it relates to this LP and it's sorta weird/interesting. I'll probably need input, too.

So this household runs slowly. There's really frequent hanging, we had the issue with the autonomy, and everything is just all-around slow. For the longest time, I thought it was my computer. Until I spent the last while playing one of my other files and realized that I'd had little to no hang. It took me a while to realize that the biggest reason I was having so many problems was the house.
I don't know what it is, but something about multiple-storied houses in this game causes problems with my computer.

That said, what I am going to do is temporarily move everyone out into a single story house and see if that makes a difference. If my testing and theory proves correct, well... Well.
And this is where your input comes in.

Would you rather the household have a two-story house at the cost of performance...
or
Would you rather the household have a one-story house at the cost of space/items?

I would say the one-story house, but whatever's easier for you.

Whatever makes it easier to tell sim stories, MulMizu... which seems to lean toward the one-story, so...

I'd say one-story for the same reasons stated as the others.

I decided I'd make one more update before moving everyone...

Alice came home and immediately ran to the birthday cake. Everyone crowded around to celebrate.
What did she wish for? To make lots of friends. That's her Lifetime Wish. She wants to have 20 friends.

i do not understand what she is wearing but she doesn't look too different from her teen self. Just like reaaaal life.

I will. And I HATE it when the kids have to move out. Another downside of always playing on the slowest aging, you get so damned attached to them and it seems like only yesterday they were screaming and soiling the diapers and needed constant care and then they had to learn to drive and do homework and I just... ;_;

By the time she left the household, everyone in the household was at "best friends" level. Filled all the way to the max.

Alices don't live in parks, do they? Just... remember to patrol it at night if Alice becomes a Musician.
