Eh, if they don't like that kind of thing, that's one thing, but I have perfectly platonic relationships with friends where we act in a similar fashion as Karen over each other, so I'm here going "Uh.... Why is that gross?"

Obviously it's because these people hate freedom. That's why they find it gross.

I, too, have that kind of relationship with my female friends. In fact, we joke a lot with the lesbic implications of our actions, and can do that so liberally only because we have so much confidence and trust on each other, and because we know we are not actually attracted to each other.

Still, even if the BambixKaren stuff was real deal lesbianism, I would approve it a hundred percent. I always love it when mainstream dating sims have a gay option~. Some people might find that kind of relationship awkward though, and that is respectable, but... gross? That's just retrograde.

Again, I don't mind if they're not into that.

I know for a fact that the project lead doesn't dislike lesbians or girl/girl love or whatever. I can't really say why I know this, but I do. :D I don't know exactly what was said by who in this situation though.

I don't think it's so much that find it gross as they find it a little creepy? I think a friend who you don't like being obviously in love with you is a little creepy regardless of the gender. I'm in this situation now and the fact that he's a guy doesn't make it any better, despite the fact that I'm straight and would be a little creeped out by a girl crushing on me(, if for no other reason than that I'd find the whole thing super awkward.) It's not a fun situation to be in. I don't feel like I post half of what I want to post on my Tumblr because he follows me (don't know why, a lot of what I post is fangirling over virtual guys and Sailor Moon and Harvest Moon and literary/anime/video game references that go over his head and the only things I post that he could possibly be interested in are the stuff about writing, which he doesn't do, and the Legend of Korra stuff, which he started watching so that he would have more of a connection with me, which is just kind of creepy in and of itself) and I just want to yell at him, "stop liking everything I post on Facebook, it's creepy!" I don't even know why he likes me, to be honest.

Anyway, slight derail, but the bottom line is: friend loves you and you love them back = great. Friend loves you and you just see them as a friend = awkward and kind of creepy.

Having also been in that situation: That entire post puts it in a nutshell. Unrequited love must suck but it's really not fun being on the other side of the crush, either, especially if you used to actually be friends with that person. It's awkward and uncomfortable, though I'm not getting those vibes from Karen as much.

It's mostly what I've read from this thread, I sense kind of a double standard there (pretty sure they'd go "KYA KYAAAAAAA" if Karen were a guy saying the exact same things). They're talking about her as if she were Amanohashi or Onii-chan or something.

Oh God. I'm happy someone pointed out the double standard about the naked part. They are just like that because eww, Karen it's a girl.
...and then someone said something like "who knows what Karen did to Bambi while she was asleep" and now I'm just angry.

Yeah, seriously. Karen has shown herself to be no less than a true gentlewoman of character and I sure as hell hope some of the girls in that thread don't have any friends who have to come out to them.

Because if she was she'd need to have some ridiculous problem to work out. Of course given her family that could be her wish to set Goro up with Amanohashi so they could all be happy and strangely dressed.

So yeah, I propose we challenge the people in that thread to an all out brawl on the streets. Victory is assured for we have Justice on our side!

I think she does have a teenage problem where

Valentine's Day rolls around. Miyo and Karen come over to your house to make chocolate with you, yay! But we have to deal with a new chocolate decorating minigame! Yay? Your mileage may vary.



Anyway, here's what the base and topping screens look like! There are 5 stages - you pick the base, three toppings to go on it, then a special topping to finish it off. There was a bit of a discussion prior to this, but what basically happens is that depends on your base/toppings, your chocolate will come out Natural, Cute, Cool, Funky, Pop, Wild, or Smart. Or Mysterious, which is a bit like the Danger fashion combination, and which will probably happen more often than not. The quantity of each topping you use will affect the result as well - you can use half the amount of cream, or 15/30 of the little chocolate chips, or 20/50 sprinkles of cocoa powder, and you'll probably get a different outcome than using all of each.

Long story short, if you're not following a guide, prepare for multiple attempts (you have three tries like in previous games) and/or reloads. I was following the Japanese wiki and still got a Cool instead of the Smart I was aiming for, but thankfully Piano-sempai is fine with Cool. I totally didn't fail to get a Smart chocolate six times and give up trying or anything I swear.

It's also hilariously and depressingly difficult to pipe stuff with the d-pad, so I'll spare you guys from looking upon the (Cool) mangled horror that Seiji will be receiving. I basically smeared a whole piping bag of whipped cream over the heart-shaped bitter chocolate base (pictured above), dusted it with all the cocoa powder at my disposal, and slapped on half the caramel chocolate chips while eating the other half. They were delicious. Then of course, a cute pink treble clef goes on top of everything as the special topping~

Armed with this special weapon along with our store-bought chocolates, it's time to sally forth!


Karen: "Have you decided who to give your chocolates to? I'll always be waiting, okay?"

Unfortunately, there's no actual option to give them to your awesome gal pals, so we pawn the obligatory cheap chocolate off on Kou.


Kou: "Don't need it. Give it to Ruka."

He doesn't want it ;-; Never mind, Tamao will accept our expensive chocolate, right?


Konno: "Don't spend too much on things like this. It's the thought that counts."
P-chan: (Looks like I was a bit over-enthusiastic...)

Finally, the sweet taste of success! I found it rather cute that he was all "heh, I know why you're here 8D".

And then, a few days later, he gets to do it again because it's his birthday~


P-chan: "Sorry for calling you out like this."
Shitara: "It's fine. I'd thought you might."
P-chan: "Fufu. Here. Happy birthday ♥"
Shitara: "That's thoughtful of you. I'll open it, all right?"


Shitara: "Did you read my mind?"

...Now he can have tea with a teapot shaped like a magic lamp!

P-chan: "...Hello? Yeah. After this, I'll... okay... Got it." *click* "Sorry, I have to get home."

P-chan: "Now that you mention it, we've yet to do that..."

I find it really hard to believe that such a basic thing has yet to come up after they pretty much just went on a date... But still, props to our kouhai for already thinking of the future, I suppose? :D

when I do 3P love mode with tamao and seiji, Tamao gets this weird panicked grimace if my P-chan spends too much time with Seiji
